LEGENDARY GUERRERO WRESTLING FAMILY’S CHAVO GUERRERO, JR INKS DEAL WITH TNA IMPACT WRESTLING
Third generation wrestling standout to debut in the ring Thursday, July 26, live on SPIKE TV!
TNA IMPACT WRESTLING’s President Dixie Carter announced the signing of Chavo Guerrero, Jr. via twitter. He will make his IMPACT WRESLTING debut on Thursday, July 26 on SPIKE TV. This signing means that two members of the legendary Guerrero family are part of the TNA family; as Chavo is the nephew of TNA commentator Hector Guerrero. Tune in Thursdays at 8:00pm ET to catch IMPACT WRESTLING live on Spike TV.
Hailing from one of the more storied and successful families in the pro wrestling arena, the Guerrero family has racked up more championship titles and accolades than anyone. He is the son of Chavo, Sr. and his grandfather and patriarch of the Guerrero family, the late Gory Guerrero, is still one of the most famous wrestlers in Mexico.
Having competed all over the world for various promotions, Chavo has won a number of championship gold, including a tag-team gold with his late uncle Eddie Guerrero. Prior to signing with TNA, he appeared on the highly successful ratings giant Ring Ka King in India.

I met him at an indy event in Houston, he was a very nice guy. He talked to me and the other younger wrestlers there. I think he could help alot in their developmental territories

Very pleased for him, Ive always liked chavo and with TNA being on a bit of a upswing of late it should be cool.
Should he be in the x division or not though?

I'd say it's about time. Chavito Heat is going to rise in TNA.
This is groundbreaking. Impact Wrestling will never be the same again.

I agree... Hey now they have another wrestling legend (yeah I said it) to help some of the TNA roster with their mic skills... Other than Bully Ray, who has really good mic skills in TNA? I can't think of one right now... Anyone?

Duh.. Can't believe I forgot he and Roode... Aries is a badass on the mic... Thanks...

I give it six months before he wins the TNA title.
Chavo Guerrero is going to debut and destroy Austin Aries in less than 18 seconds and win the coveted TNA World title.

He's not good on the mic but Joseph Park is. You know... Abyss' brother.

Already passed the 6 month window. Ring ka King, remember?
I like how they're treating it as if it were 100% seperate promotion that had absolutely nothing to do with TNA. Great idea, albeit not 100% true.

this may be the best angle abyss has ever been in, he should have lost the mask years ago, magnus and fallen angel are good on the mic too.

Nothing against Chavo, but I can't see what benefit TNA can get from him on screen. Backstage is a different story, but his character has pretty much remained unchanged for the longest time.

What's all this talk about Chavo Guerrero Jr being an amazing promo guy? Have I missed something here?
speculating, unless they have something "special" in mind or he's added something dramatically new to his game/shows something he's never shown before, I'd guess he'll have some good matches, do the rounds with most of the X Division guys, make a bit of money and then head behind the scenes as an agent/producer
naturally now I've posted that, he'll come in, they'll push him to the moon, he'll get over like a beast and be a huge success story

I think Chavo would be a good leader for the Aces and Eights stable. Chavo is a very underrated talker in my opinion

He's never given any airtime in WWE at all these past 2-3 years. This is like a mexican middle finger to that company.

Chavo Guerrero vs Austin Aries for the tna world title will happen
From Chavo's Twitter: "There's more than one Frogsplash in TNA now!"
It sounds like he'll do a program with RVD.

If he wins the TNA title, I'm going to laugh my ass off...
Good for Chavo.
Is he really a draw, at all? Even in the Latino markets? Else, i guess logic dictates that he'll be used as an enhancement talent. Like Finlay's role in WWE.
But this is TNA.

Haha, not much of a stretch. If you had told me that both Ray and Devon would find niches where they could be successful singles personalities in 2012, I would have probably questioned your sanity.
What Chavo brings to the table:
* Experience in pretty much every big promotion.
* Ring skills to help polish some of the younger guys.
* He's part of a well-respected wrestling family.
Sounds like a good signing to me. I doubt he'll be given the World Title, despite all the jokes, but I do think he'll be given the chance to really impress and be given that chance to be a stand-out presence on Impact Wrestling.
When he was doing time on NXT Redemption, Chavo was actually a pretty interesting personality. He made some humourous remarks from the stage (ala Dolph Ziggler) and revealed himself to be quite the scheming heel (no surprise in that one, really).
I would love to see what Chavo can do with Zema Ion.

And for the record, I think Chavo is a good talker. Not great, but definitely more comfortable on the mic than people give him credit for. He's certainly capable of taking a mic, going out to the ring and cutting a two-minute promo audibly and clearly to set-up a PPV match, or something.
I think what is truly underrated about Chavo Guerrero was his ability to connect as a personality. He was often compared to Eddie Guerrero -- one of the most charismatic performers we've ever seen in professional wrestling -- but when you look at Chavo's career, he was always over, and he was always entertaining on some sort of level. A lot of that came from his personality, and how he managed to project himself. He was perfectly likeable when he needed to get cheers, and he was appropriately wormy when he needed to be booed. There is a lot to be taken from Chavo -- especially when it comes to what JR calls "maximizing minutes."
