I think the fights will be good, but this card doesn't exactly have "star power" due to injuries. I'm interested in Faber vs. Barao b/c Faber is a ridiculous underdog for some reason and I think that will be a good fight. Lombard/Boetsch is also intriguing b/c I want to see if Lombard is UFC-ready and I believe this has potential title implications at Middleweight if Lombard wins.

I watched the card... up til the 4th round of the Faber fight. Walked out with a minute and a half left.

The card was a snoozefest. The prelims had some good fights though. I watched the 7 second ko on youtube a few minutes ago... that was good. But this card... sucked.

Hector Lombard fought this fight like he was already UFC Champion, he was looking to not make a mistake, and trying to find the perfect punch.

I wanna believe in him, and he needs to wanna work on his shit.

Ryan Jimmo making the UFC Jump...interesting. Good on him.

Not really. Lombard had a game plan that was weird as hell. He got the better of the striking (when they did exchange), he stuffed Boetsch's takedown attempts and got a good slam of his own. Boetsch being the more "active" fighter won him the fight more than Boetsch's actual fighting.

But yeah, pretty disappointing main card. Prelims were beast. Sad thing is, that crowd was hot.

Didn't watch it at all, what was the kick to the body that stopped the fight.

It was a liver kick that the ref made a mistake and thought it was a low blow cause the guy was tugging down on his shorts and had his hands pretty close on his sides near the area. But it was a very very well placed shin to liver kick. The guy still won the fight though which was good but that was a very awkward moment in the fight.

Boring as fuck other than the 7 second KO.

Barao was the only good thing about this shitfest.

I've come to the sad conclusion that as long as the UFC on Fuel, UFC on FX and UFC on Fox shows exist, PPV's are probably going to be watered down from now on. This upcoming UFC on Fox card would have been a sick main card for UFC 149. Even the prelims for that have better appeal than the 149 main card. It's a shame.

At least Edgar/Henderson & Jones/Hendo are next on the horizon.

That's why it's laughable not bringing in women's division in because a lack of talent. All they need is a few to start with. Watch the Rousey/Kaufman card might be more exciting than Hendo/Edgar ppv. 150 doesn't look great either.

I agree 100%. The women's division is more interesting than 145, 135 or 125 and Rousey is more entertaining and marketable than any of the champions in those divisions. If they did a TUF featuring Rousey and Cyborg it would be the highest rated season since Kimbo and it would attract more women from Judo, boxing and jiujitsu because a commitment to the division would be shown.

Before UFC on Fox, Gina Carano's fight was the highest rated network television mma fight and her fight with Cyborg sold more tickets and did a better gate than Silva/Sonnen I in the same arena. Dana's hesitation to make a commitment to at least help build a viable division makes no sense.

UFC 152 is going to be headlined by Jospeh Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson. No way in hell I'd buy a ticket to that or pay for it on PPV. I'm pretty sure the UFC is going to give Canada shit cards because that market is so hot for it.

Dana would never try to present that in Vegas or L.A. These lightweight titles should be shown on free t.v. The Fox Network shows are more PPV worthy than this card.
