I was thinking...I have never really bother picking sides in platform wars or whatever you call it. When I had a sega and all my friends had super nintendos, we never really fought over which was the superior machine. Instead we just went to each others houses to play.

Did you ever take sides? Or are you one of those pc gamer elitist?

I hated the PSX because I had a saturn and it didnt have as many games as the PSX

When it came to owning consoles, usually sided with just Nintendo or bought the Nintendo console first before getting others.

Didn't care when it came to playing on different console a friend of relative owned and just played them while having fun like Street Fighter II on the Genesis or Tony Hawk 1/2 on the PS1.

I was never dedicated to one system over the other.

I never buy systems at launch, so I just wait a few months and go with whatever console has the more compelling catalog of games.
That is also taking into account that if it's an FPS or strategy game I'm going to get it on PC, as I find that to be a more suitable platform for those kinds of games.

PC is superior for all kinds of games.

As a kid, I was loyal to Nintendo, all the way up to the N64.

I will still to this day, take N64 overr PS1.

Following generations, I had money to buy multiple consoles, so it became a moot point.

That makes one of us.

I find that hard to believe.

I remember when I was younger there was more stuff on the NES and SNES that appealed to me. And I had to share with my brother. I NEVER owned a Master System and eventually owned a Genesis, but it wasn't my primary console. Still, I remember my buddies used to bring over their Segas or I'd go over to their place, so we'd mix and match.

In the era of the PS1, everyone I knew went Sony. I eventually got an N64, and I'd bring it over to play rasslin' games with friends.

I guess Nintendo was my second choice up until the Wii. But I wasn't really into console feuds, since us not having the same consoles meant we could mix and match up until they started to kill off couch multiplayer.

Which I staunchly oppose.

I am not saying there wasn't a tread like this on the escapist, I just don't post there that often because all the 17 year old foriegners piss me off.

I just love gaming.

I own a PS3, a 360, a PS2, an N64. Formerly owned an NES, SNES, and PS1 even for a short time. I own a decent gaming PC as well.

But that doesn't mean there can't be discussion about which is better from technical standpoints.

PS3 has better hardware and is a better media station. Also has a slew of great exclusives.
360 has a way better online system, and I like their controller design better.
PC is far more capable, has an incredibly massive library of games, and online play is limited only by what the developer is capable of/allows.

Quite possibly the only system I don't like at all is the Wii. There are certain games that interest me, but I hate motion controls with a passion. It just doesn't sway me.

PS3 Snob until a new halo comes out. Then I usually get it.

You are still on there quite frequently.

Or that you can't get your panties in a twist when someone doesn't bow down to the glorious PC Master Race.
