Marilyn Manson, deep, meaningful band. I've been a fan since 1999/2000. Very significant with a powerful message that can be interrupted in different ways. Inspirational and a strong figure with a cleaver over the top rock star ruse for fun from time to time, either way- the music helped me in several ways.

Nevermore.

Pretty much my favorite band, and their different songs and albums are tied to different times of my life and bring up different memories when I listen to them.

1. What Tomorrow Knows.

The first track from Nevermore's debut album (self titled). It's not the first song I heard of Nevermore, but the lyrical content fits well to start off a "celebration of life"...because no one sees what tomorrow knows.

2. Deconstruction.

This was the first Nevermore song I heard as far as I remember and it also came at an important period of my life. I believe I was in Junior High at the time and was just starting to come together as a person, getting into new things, among them was getting into music. Thus, my world was in deconstruction.

3. Believe in Nothing.

This song came the year after the previous one, and I had just started high school, once again, undertaking great change. If in Junior High I was still coming into my own self, by the time I listened to this song, I felt that I had already found my true identity. The song echoes scepticism of the world, something I was full off at the time, and in a way, still am to this day. For example, in terms of religion, I still believe in Nothing.

4. Passenger.

One of my favorite Nevermore songs and one that would fit neatly into the middle of a set that is meant to in some way, symbolize my life. Once more, its a philosophical song, juggling many ideas that I have myself juggled with all the time.

5. Politics of Ecstasy.

Really heavy and represents a lot of the feelings I began to harbor throughout my latter years of high school. Political, philosophical, and as far as I know, true.

6. I, Voyager.

Another random favorite of mine. This song has the distinction of randomly coming up in my mind at random times. Like, I'd be doing something mundane and would randomly start humming it.

7. Born

Would be a good song to start off, but it is associated with a later period of my life during which I had very serious surgery. The lyical content of the song is simple, but the message is strong, and one that I wish more people listened to.

8. My Acid Words

Just a song that I played heavily around a difficult time of my life.

9. The Heart Collector.

Heavily associated with another difficult period of my life, in some ways, it reminds me of the trouble I faced back then, yet at the same time, even though it recalls those memories, it also "softens" them.

10. This Godless Endeavor.

Pretty much summarizes my religious views.

11. Sentient 6.

Just another song that gets a ridiculous amount of play at my house.

12. And the Maiden Spoke.

Just because I had to include something from the band's final album and this is the one that first comes to mind.
