View Full Version : WRESTLEMANIA 50???

Through the last twenty years, wrestling has faced tremendous highs, and unbelievable lows. But through it all, the WWE has remained. Through steroid scandals, "screw jobs," and ratings wars, the family of Vincent K. McMahon has stood its ground; budging here and there, but never giving up the fight (pun intended). Yes, its had hard times before, but many internet fans seem to think the company is slipping. So I pose to you this question, and I ask for your thoughful response: Do you think the WWE will make it to WrestleMania 50? Why or why not? I know it's a long way off, but let's talk about it.

Just as long as it survives to Wrestlemania XXV, I don't care. :)

Wow. There are those that think the company might not last 5 more years?

Unless Vincent K. McMahon still has 30 years left in his life then yes, the WWE will make it to Wrestle Mania 50. However, I don't have alot of confidence in Shane or Stephanie. And I believe the WWE will surely die when Vince McMahon is gone.

Okay, so you don't have much confidence in Shane or Stephanie. But how about Triple H?

Did any one say "30 year title reign"?

Well we certainly don't want that, but if Stephanie ever takes over, Triple H will have more control than he already does.

I have a feeling that Vince is the kind of guy that wouldn't leave a woman in charge of his company. Shane has become more and more involved in the financial and promotional aspects of the company. Myguess is that when Vince retires, Steph will be head writer but final creative decisions and the overall direction of the product will be made by the son-in-law himself, Terra Ryzin.

As to your question, if any of us are around for thirty more years, we should be grateful. But, yes, I'm sure there will be pro-wrestling aorund in one form or another in 2034, although it wll most likely be so violent and pornographic that what we know as the WWE will look like after-school specials by comparison.

I think Triple H could run the company very well. He's probably one of the smartest in-ring wrestlers around.

I actually don't disagree with you. I was just pointing out that its a fallacy to assume either McMahon sibling will take over. Trips will probably push whoever is his favorite at the time, but all bookers do that. If anything, the fact the his own personal tastes run towards a more traditional product where the workers are emphasized, and not the gimmicks and angles, makes me think his product wouldn't be that bad. Cruiserweights would be non-existent, but not really much of a difference from now anyway. :-\

In my hope of hopes I want Heyman to some how have the company left to him when Vince dies, He's the only one that could make it what it once was.

Undertaker will have an incredible 41-0 record at Wrestlemania heading into WM-50. WM-50 will also mark the return of the "Deadman".....who will once again return with Paul Bearer. This will be Taker's 5th run as the Lord of Darkness.

The only wrestlers that have any chance of being in Wrestlemania L, are Renee Dupree and Brock Lesner. They're really the only ones young enough at the moment... Dupree would be 51 at Wrestlemania L. But we all know the main event will be Shane McMahon's son, jobbing to the man simply known as Vincent "The Glass Celing" Levesque-McMahon. And in the under card Dewy Foley will be caned by the reanimated corpse of Terry Funk.

I have a feeling WWE will make it that far. Vince has probably been grooming Shane to take his business, so we can say Shane-O's learnt from the best. And as long as Triple H doesn't actually wrestle if he started running it (maybe even with Shane), he could really put on a great product. The guy follows Vince as good on the mic, and like it or not, he probably has more knoledge about the business than all of us combined.

I would welcome anyone in the McMahon family to power when Vince leaves the company. Who knows? Maybe we could even see guys like Kurt Angle promoted into management?

Its impossible to guess if the WWE will be around 10 years form now, nevermind 30 years from now.

I dont think anyone knows how Shane will do at the helm, he's never had to run the business, Vince has always done that. At some point him and Steph (which means Hunter) will take over, so we'll have to see how that works.

Vince is responsible for all the success they have, I dont know one way or the other whether Shane and Hunter have the same abilities. I guess we'll find out in the future.

Come on, face the fact, there will never be another Vince Kennedy Mcmahon. And i really appreciate his efforts.

After his death, i really wonder if shane or stephanie would be up to the job and push wwe as a world wide brand. (meaning even kids in africa get to see it).

Unless Vince has gone completely corrupt, I have no doubt that he will pass the company onto his son, Shane. Just as Vince's grandfather passed it to Vince Sr, and just as Vince Sr passed it to Vince Jr., Vince Jr. will pass the torch to Shane.

If you want more proof, look at WrestleMania XX opening video. The last picture is Vince and Shane, with Shane holding his baby. This must be a sign of things to come.

Personally, I can't wait. Shane is young and hungry, and will probably take the company to new heights. If anyone but a McMahon took over the WWE, I believe that it would fold just like ECW and just like WCW. The WWE is in the McMahon's blood, and because of that, only they have the drive and heart to keep the company going against all odds.

Okay, I'm wondering about this... I'd like to get my facts straight here... I read that WWF was NOT handed down to Vincent K Mcmahon, and that Vince Sr. actually did not want Vince Jr. involved. Basically Vince had to bust his ass to "buy" up the territories. Is there any reality to this at all??

Shane and Steph will be great in charge. I mean, Shane pretty much runs the financial part, and Stephanie's used to being at the helm(sley) of the company.

Paul Bearer will probably be dead at that point, so Taker will simply carry two urns to the ring.
