Looking to get one. Would like to be able to play games again whenever I happen to be at a lan. I'm not into desk tops because there isn't any room in my room for one. Sort of looking to get decent bang for my buck. Not sure if I care how much I spend as long as it will be good for a few (3-5?) years. Not going to spend $5,000 on a lappy though.

This is really the only one I've looked at, dunno. Thoughts? Should I go Alienware? Should I wait for the 680m to come out? Should I trim my pubes?
Jimmy Cones, Amazon has a great deal going on Sandisk solid state hard drives. Get a 240GB SSD and see if you can get a lower price on the samsung if you get it with no HDD or something.

I Am making sure that I don't buy anything for a week to give myself the proper time to research. But I also may have just applied for a job in Madison, Wisconsin. I've been applying for jobs back towards my home town for a while but this one would be a transfer since it's with the same company I work for. I might have to put off buying a laptop to have funds for moving expenses. I think the best course is to wait for now. Maybe some prices will drop when the GTX 680M enters the market in an alienware pc. Could be worth it to wait just for a bit.

Why haven't you trimmed your pubes?

My knowledge on Alienware is a little out of date, but aren't they ridiculously expensive for the actual components put into them? Like, aren't they Apple-level douche status symbols?
(only with admittedly better parts...)

Probably. Not like I give a shit about the name, though.
I was just in the market for a pretty good gaming laptop is all. I have a good chunk saved up for one.

Because I need to practice my braiding.
Also, I like playing in the jungle. Not like any one else is going down there any time soon.
Edit: Wait... how do you know I haven't trimmed them yet?

Alienware is the worst gaming company to buy from. There systems are pure shit.

They used to be good until someone bought them out.

Dells are pretty ass. For all the work I put into mine, I should have fucking built my own.

Dell's are basic borderline decent brand recognized computers for the most part. Dell's are the Fords of computers and Alienware is probably the Ford Mustang. But at least Dell is decently priced, I guess.
I'd aim for Apple, Sony or HP.

You don't even need something that expensive. I have an Acer that I got for under $800 and I've yet to encounter a game that doesn't play well on it. I can even use the highest graphics settings for most of them.
