V/H/S is directed by Adam Wingard, Glenn McQuaid, Radio Silence, David Bruckner, Joe Swanberg and Ti West.

The film stars Joe Swanberg, Calvin Reeder, Adam Wingard, Sophia Takal, Kate Lyn Sheil, Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Chad Villella and Tyler Gillett.

Synopsis: "When a group of petty criminals is hired by a mysterious party to retrieve a rare piece of found footage from a rundown house in the middle of nowhere, they soon realize that the job isn't going to be as easy as they thought. In the living room, a lifeless body holds court before a hub of old television sets, surrounded by stacks upon stacks of VHS tapes. As they search for the right one, they aretreated to a seemingly endless number of horrifying videos, each stranger than the last.

Bringing together some of the top filmmakers in the game today, this wickedly conceived horror anthology sends the viewer through a gauntlet of suspense, terror, shock, and downright brutality—instantly distinguishing itself from a sea of lackluster found-footage horror flicks. The diverse and deviously creative minds behind V/H/S shatter any preconceived notions about the genre, making it feel inventive and captivating once again."

Look for V/H/S on demand this August 31st and then in theatres on October 5th.

Supposedly the girl at the end rips a guys wiener off..

Seems interesting enough. There is a good stream of it online, so I'll probably check it out. The whole "better than your average found-footage movie" doesn't really set very high standards, since pretty much every horror movie these days promises to stand out above the rest of it's style.

Okay, just finished watching this. Gotta say it was actually pretty fucking good. Certainly one of the scariest films I've seen in recent times. Lot's of those fucking nervous moments where you're expecting something and you just there frozen waiting for whatever happens to happen. Wasn't enough to psychologically fuck me up :( but was still pretty good.

Worth checking out, guys. :y:

(And the dick-ripping scene is actually near the beginning... but it's not really anything that hasn't been seen before...)

I'm a huge horror movie fan and I was pumped to see this. Unfortunately, I couldn't get into it at all. The whole "shaky camera anthology" thing is a good idea, but I just couldn't find myself to care about any of them. The first one was probably the best. "Horror" as a genre probably couldn't get much worse, but this is not the way to go. I applaud the effort, kinda. Poop.
