I've always wondered why a city like Chicago is always so lively and some cities just give no pop. How does a city become a good wrestling city over time? And what cities do you think are the best wrestling cities?
Someone please correct me if factual data contradict my statement, but it seems the liveliest wrestling crowds are in Democrat hot spots such as Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Auburn Hills, Los Angeles, Detroit, Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Charlotte, Atlanta, Marietta, and DC. What are some Republican hot spots which regularly have lively wrestling crowds?
Memphis seems to be very lively when wrestling comes to town

Houston is a pretty good city. Might be a little biased, being that I live in Houston...

Larger urban cities tend to have better crowds.
A more diverse audience, more pissed off people, a smarter fanbase? I have no idea.

I always assumed that it was because a larger population would have a larger number of diehard fans snatching up all the tickets before the casual fans can.
But I don't know.

It's about territory towns. The towns that WWE runs that are still hot were territory towns, hot spots all through New York and Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Minnesota, Chicago, Memphis, hot cities in Florida, Dallas... note the difference between say, WWE in LA vs WWE Chicago

Maybe it has to do with how often (or not) WWE goes to a place.
Also, I'm guessing that some of the cities that were territories back in the day have a wrestling tradition and the fans are more appreciative of the product, hence, they give better reactions.

Probably because some prefer cheering their wrestlers who obviously grew up within the hometown...

Syracuse got one PPV from the WWE and then they never came back for TV again, be happy.

Would you come back to Syracuse if you were WWE? Syracuse assaulted your biggest star just because some military douchebag's girlfriend wanted some the HBKock.

im from syracuse too and its so frustrating that we havent gotten a tv taping since like 01. we get 1 house show a yr usually but thats it. vince is probably still bitter that the carrier dome/syracuse university turned him down when he wanted to do a large event year around 10 years ago.

i was at that thunder taping and i remember we had the first ever in your house ppv (the ppv you mentioned)
id have to do some digging for the article, but during the attitude era vince wanted to use the carrier dome for one of the major ppvs and syracuse university turned him down bc of the content of the product. ever since then we havent gotten any tv tapings

WM 25 was held in Houston, and if I'm correct I'm pretty sure there hasn't been one Raw taping here since the day after.
