View Full Version : How was Kurt Angle's Wife Leaving him for JJ not a work?

I like to think that the Universe has a certain order to it. Things happen, but usually they have a perfectly reasonable explanation as to how and why.You hit a nail with a hammer, it gets driven into the skull of an unbeliever. Cause and effect.
So why can't I imagine a scenario where this happening is plausible? Frankly, nothing about Kurt Angle coming to TNA makes a whole lot of sense to me. If you were to tell me that Kurt Angle would lie to get out of his WWE contract, join TNA, Samoa Joe's push would be squashed and restarted a dozen times, Angle's real wife would leave him for Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle would, in real life, be accused of stalking a female wrestler and later say a bunch of dumb shit about how good he'd be in MMA or how he was going to wrestle in the Olympics again I'd have treated the whole gob of information as a sinister piece of fan-fiction.
Is there some shoot interview where Kurt or JJ explain in detail what happened? Is the Karen Angle bit a work and I never learned about it? Is Kurt Angle still on the WWE payroll secretly? I need answers.
Need.

Pretty sure it was legit. His TNA career has been crazy though.

I want to find out that it was a complete work. The circumstances behind it all seem so extraordinary as to defy reality.

I think it's crazy that not only did Karen end up with Jeff Jarrett after leaving Kurt, not only did Kurt stay in TNA after it happened, but Kurt actually let TNA use the situation on-camera for an angle (including their kids).
I wouldn't have been able to do that shit.
It's weird as fuck.

How hard up was Karen Angle to remain a wife to a wrestler, huh? Oh and don't forget this was very shortly after JJ's wife died too making it even more creepy.

Maybe Kurt and Karen were into swinging and she made the ultimate mistake you can make in the world of swinging: Getting emotionally involved.
That's what I've heard, anyway.

It's possible. I hear AJ's into swinging after all.

Still, man.
There's a code into all this.
You don't date a friend or colleague's ex-girlfriend or ex-wife.

I agree, If she was going behind Kurts back though there would be no way him or anyone would be able to see the Kim/Jeff again without going on a rampage.
I think he was involved with a diva (and probably numerous groupies) at the time so he might not have cared as much as one would think.
dunno, hardly the first time somebody involved with a wrestler became involved with another wrestler afterwards, not like Jarrett and Angle were best friends. The only thing that makes it a bit awkward is professionally given Jarrett's "position of power"

Jeff Jarrett is brilliant so I don't blame her.
also, I've heard more than person claim Jarrett is legit the nicest guy around, probably won her heart via a mixtape and the right Love Hearts

Probably serenaded her with his guitar and then smashed her over the head with it, before showing her what he really meant by "slapnuts" all these years.

Jeff Jarrett probably sent her one of these:

Really want to play as Jeff Jarrett on a video game now. Wish he was in the new WWE game coming out. I want to play a modern game with the WCW Backstage Assault roster.
the last Smackdown game I had a few years back ft. CAW Jeff Jarrett as WCW champion

Think I might get the next one and create a WCW roster to go against the Attitude Era roster. I just had a 10 second look through google though and nobody seems to make Kronik CAW's :(

Ah yeah haven't had one of the games for a few years and didn't know much about the community creation thing. Just looked through a few youtube videos though and they do look pretty swell. Probably gonna get the next game then and make Jeff Jarrett and Kronik take over.

Kurt Angle going to TNA wasn't that strange considering the main reason he left originally was due to him getting tired of always traveling all the time. He wanted less road dates while the WWE wanted more.
Him loosing Karen Angle to JJ was pretty strange considering the circumstances but I think his marriage might have been shaky before going to TNA. Probably played a role in why he wanted less working dates with the WWE in order to have more time with the wife.

Big fan of Test too. Gonna throw Test in my Jarrett/Kronik stable on the next Smackdown game.
I thought I was the only person who liked Kronik

You pretty much described Angle's general pattern of madness. I'd hate to think that he was showing signs of a Benoit-style, concussion-induced dementia, but this might be it.

I miss Test. I don't know if I ever enjoyed a single match with the guy, but I certainly enjoyed the guy.

I recall that Matt Hardy and Edge had a legit feud over Lita which was the basis for several pay-per-view and RAW matches that got quite vicious.
