Three things: We all knew HBK would win this, anyway. I can't believe it was the finals already, that came about quickly. And I gotta admit, I'm kinda surprised Randy Savage is the other guy in the finals.

Randy Savage all the way. I've always found him to be a better in ring competitor. I like his personality better as well. Wrestlemania III's match with Ricky Steamboad, his feud with Hogan throughout the years, the matches with Warrior, the matches with Ric Flair, the feud with Diamond Dallas Page, being a member of the Wolfpack, Team Madness-so many things I like about Savage. HBK is a great in ring competitor, but I didn't like his 90s run mostly because of how bad of an attitude he always had. His 02-10 run was great, though.

It's sad that HBK spent the prime of his career seeming like a guy who was there to make others look good because he was older. He should have spent that 8 year run getting a long title run or two and being booked as THE guy.

Bret Hart, Stone Cold and Flair were all better than HBK
Bret Hart - Great Technical Wrestler. HBK can do that.
Stone Cold - Great ring psychologist and brawler (was great before his neck injury). HBK can do that.
Flair - Great chickenshit heel. Great "legend" babyface. Great psychologist. HBK can do all that.
Ric Flair is the only wrestler who can claim to be better than Shawn Michaels, but Shawn Michaels had everything Flair had plus even more athleticism and more versatility in his promo ability.

HBK may not be as good of a pure "technical wrestler" as Bret Hart, but Shawn Michaels is no slouch on pure wrestling and his psychology and story-telling is second to none. Shawn Michaels' promo skills are second to few. Isn't it amazing that being really fucking good at a lot of different facets of wrestling make you the "best wrestler" moreso than just being great at one thing and mediocre at the rest?

You never said he was bad. When you say there's no point in posting a bad HBK promo because "to you there weren't any" as opposed to "there weren't any" it does kind of imply that there are HBK promos you find bad.

Then find one on YouTube and post it. Don't sit there and say "HBK wasn't an elite HOF level promo, but Randy Savage was." then not give any examples of said promos where Savage is a "Hall of Fame promo".
HBK's descent into madness leading into WrestleMania XXVI and his obsession and need to beat The Undertaker to justify his entire career and legacy.
HBK's "mini heel-turn" against Hulk Hogan in the summer of 05 where he carried a main event feud (and match) on his back.
HBK's heel work in 1997-1998 where he had a chip on his shoulder because he was "The Headliner", "The Main Event", "The Show Stopper", and so on yet he still gets disrespected by guys like Bret Hart and others.
Shawn Michaels' promo in the press conference for WrestleMania XI. That one single line freaking 17 years ago really defines HBK's career and that was before he even won a World Title or main evented a WrestleMania (Bam Bam/LT main evented WM11).
Shawn Michaels' promos with the McMahons in 06 saved a months-long feud from being entirely unbearable.
The promos with Flair through WrestleMania XXIV. The emotions of not wanting to be the guy to end Flair's career but also "being a man" and accepting the challenge of your hero.
All the promos going into WM 25 were awesome.
Jericho/Michaels feuds in 2003 and 2008 were awesome both in the wrestling and in their promos.
Shawn Michaels was always able to cut promos that made you believe what he was saying and that helped define his character's attitude/beliefs/etc in a feud and made you want to see the match even more because you were hooked either emotionally through Shawn Michaels' ability to convince you that you wanted to see the resolution of the conflict or made you want to see the match because he is Shawn fucking Michaels and it will more than likely be the match of the night and candidate for match of the year.

I think they are just as good or better than that Savage promo. An average HBK promo is equitable to Savage's "best". Savage rambled on and basically said that taking the title was the best way for him to hurt Flair, but now he wants to destroy the rest of Flair at a later date. He said it in such a way that it was interesting, but hard to understand half the fucking time.

but you're all basement dwelling fat virgins who jerk off to pictures of Dean Malenko, so meh.
Yes because Dean Malenko and Ric Flair's fanbases are just so different.

With all this talk about HBK's promos, I invite y'all to go back and watch some of HBK's promos from the Summer of 1997 to when he left in 1998.
Especially one where he, standing in the ring in short pants and no shirt, announced he'd be the special guest referee at Summerslam 1997.
Classic stuff. The guy was an awesome heel.

wanna take a moment and say Better Wrestler was a smashing success and while i few others have helped along the way Jeritron and Supreme kept this thing going. Without them two above all others we'd have never seen the finals take place. YOU TWO ARE TOPS IN MY BOOK.

I've got to say I didn't expect this poll to be this lopsided.
Even though HBK will win this one, I voted for Macho Man because he was as athletic as Shawn in his Intercontinental Champion days and later made feuds with George Steel, Warrior, and "Zodiac" Ed Leslie watchable.
Some would say that Randy Savage paves the way for smaller guys like Shawn Micheals

It's actually possible he did. He went up against guys like Hogan and Ultimate Warrior back in the day, guys who were bigger than him, very similar to what HBK did.

Never thought of Savage as a small guy...

He wasn't small but he was smaller.
Look at some WCW video of him in the ring with his fellow NWO members. Dude looked small.

Who’s your favorite wrestler of all-time? Was it Mr. OOOOO YEAHH? Those were the golden days when wrestling seemed real. There were cage matches, Royal Rumbles, tables, chairs, and everything in between. Nowadays…oh nevermind.
This Jordan Aero Flight (http://www.sneakerfiles.com/2012/09/04/release-reminder-jordan-aero-flight-gym-redblack-white/) “Macho Man” shown today pays homage to WWF’s one and only “Macho Man” Randy Savage with a multicolored base that resembles many of the wrestler’s outfits. Using a white base and cool 2-D panels, this basketball shoe adds neon green, hot pink, and purple accents for an authentic look that only the Macho Man himself would approve of.
Check for the Jordan Aero Flight “Macho Man” to begin popping up at select retailers like Jimmy Jazz (http://www.jimmyjazz.com/mens/footwear/jordan-aero-flight-sneaker/524959180?color=Multi-Color) today.

Can we have a tournament or anything in here that isn't just a jerk-off to HBK? Just saying.

Sooo we need a tournament in the wrestling forum that doesn't revolve around wrestling. Got it.

Sure, just as soon as "worst wrestler" begins.

I still don't understand how anyone can justify paying over $100 for a pair of shoes.
