Usually whoever is producing/directing gets to choose the host.

That said, who is producing/directing the show?

Good choice but I would have expected to see him on a different awards show first before doing such a major one like that.

I'm more impressed to learn that he is dating the Dragon Queen.

The people who produced "Chicago".

Previously the Academy was aiming to get Lorne Michaels to produce and Jimmy Fallon to host.

I'm sure he'll be fine. Family Guy is pretty much consistently horrific but Seth MacFarlane himself has always seemed alright/"enjoyable"

I used to like Family Guy and I do like American Dad, so I guess I think he'll do well

He has to over compensate with chicks since he looks like homosexual and loves musicals.

He also seems to like powerful women since he was with Faith from Buffy as well.

lol I'm not sure "overcompensating" when it comes to women is really possible

I'm gonna date a way hotter chick to make me look more like a man.
