guy who made this posted it on Reddit (http://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/10y43v/thinking_about_cm_punks_current_reign_and_where/) and the fan forum. Doesn't include regional titles and "double champions" count as separate reigns. Quite interesting.

lol. Big asterisk needed by The Fabulous Moolah.

lol. Big asterisk needed by The Fabulous Moolah.

Correct, sir. WWE only recognizes one reign, her first, of 3,651 days. Broken down that's barely more than 1/3 of the total number of days she held the belt (≈34%). That's not to diminish her in-ring accomplishments or take anything away from her, she certainly earned all her accolades, it's just that WWE doesn't recognize anything but the first reign. You've got to remember that with all the different lineages of the NWA and whatnot linked to the women's championship from '56-'84 (roughly), and CWC/WWWF/WWF/WWE not being always or possibly even ever aligned with the NWA during the territorial years, it's only natural why they'd deny those reigns. The ones after '84 I frankly don't understand.

I totally forgot about naked Mideon. I like how one of the <1 day reigns just has "Godfather's Ho" listed.

Anyone else find it crazy The Miz is in the top 15 for such a short period of time being in the WWE?

yo DAMN iNATOR, stop monging up my thread yeah

lol, What? are all the stats I quoted not true, or do you just want to ignore them all and not acknowledge that that total should have a * next to it?

I made completely valid and correct points and you know it. So step off.

CSL
10-05-2012, 03:04 PM
no they are not, starting with your very first line

Correct, sir. WWE only recognizes one reign, her first, of 3,651 days.

http://www.wwe.com/classics/titlehistory/women

that first one goes a bit longer than 3,651 days there chief

and sure, maybe there should be an asterisk if anybody really wants to go elsewhere and dispute the legitimacy and intricacies of something as daft as the length of title reigns in professional wrestling. But this list was made to be looked at for a minute or two based on WWE numbers since no other numbers matter, to create a few "huh, didn't think that" and that's about it. Stop being such a DAMN iNATOR.

DAMN iNATOR

Well excuse me for thinking that you, of all people, wouldn't just take WWE's word for it on something like this just because they have a revisionist telling of who held what belts and when.

There ARE other sources (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWE_Women%27s_Champions). Just sayin'. Calm down there, chief, I'm not looking for a fight here, alright?

Notice also in the 9th column down on that table, under Notes, it does clearly state that WWE does not recognize any title changes before 1984, and that they consider Moolah's total number of days to be 10,170 with the belt.

CSL
10-05-2012, 03:23 PM
...exactly

DAMN iNATOR
10-05-2012, 03:26 PM
OK, now we're getting somewhere. One last question and I will leave you and your thread in peace.

Do you believe the number is 10,170 or 10,708? Or some other number entirely. I’m legit interested to know how you personally feel on the matter, CSL. :D

CSL
10-05-2012, 03:28 PM
I legitimately don't care, the numbers aren't important. The list would do exactly the same job without them and with just the names in order.

DAMN iNATOR
10-05-2012, 03:32 PM
OK, fair enough.

The interesting part about that list is that Sammartino had more days as the WWE champion than Ric Flair did as the NWA, WWF, and WCW champion combined.

Did some math and Google searches to find out he's almost a year ahead of Flair's belts in terms of days if Flair's WWF reigns are included and over a year if they are not included.

Big Vic
10-05-2012, 03:36 PM
Mick Foley said it isn't the number of days but the number of moments within the days so Fabulous Moolah actually has 0 days.

CSL

"the original screw job" has to count as at least 1

Big Vic

That counts for Spider Lady.....although you are right on a technicality, technically.

What is considered a major title?

CSL
10-05-2012, 04:05 PM
WWE, WHC, IC, US, Euro, HC, Womens, Divas, all variations of the tag belts, everything that's been put on TV as a non-character specific title (eg Million Dollar title) by the looks of it

Billy Gunn > Randy Savage

This caught my eye, too.

And also, as much as I love Primo and Paul London, to see them listed above the likes of Mr. Perfect and Ted DiBiase just doesn't seem right. Interesting list. Thanks, CSL!

And Christian making the Top 20? That'd be an interesting fact that could really help get him over when they are trying to put over his accomplishments. John Morrison is also up there? Whoa.

Matt Hardy spent more time as a champion than Jeff Hardy. Interesting.

Matt Hardy had that really epic reign as European Champion. I mean, he very rarely defended the belt, but he had a really long reign. Jeff Hardy had more, but they were always shorter. Like when he held the IC Title for six days after beating Triple H.

To be fair Christian held like every WWE title ever, except the top one.

Was suprised where he fell on this list but it's not that shocking really all of his reigns have lasted a long while and the only major title he hasn't held is the WHC kinda suprised Trips isn't higher actually.

Shocked at The Rock b/c most his title reigns were really short like when he kept dropping the title to Trips.
