I tried to be objective as possible because there's people I love who aren't necessarily at that level yet, similarily there's people I don't really enjoy but pretty much kill it everynight, with that in mind the 5 best overall in the WWE at the moment are: (in no particular order)
CM Punk, John Cena, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton
Nicky Fives

As of right now; Punk, Ziggler, Bryan, Kane & Sandow in that order.....

You typed "Koffi" Kingston's name wrong on the list there. It should read "Johnny Curtis".

Seems like people are putting down THEIR top 5 rather than the actual top 5. For me I'd say in no particular order: Sheamus, CM Punk, John Cena, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler. If we're talking about actual status within the company and sheer drawing power I'd say: John Cena, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, Sheamus, Daniel Bryan. (and that one is in order)

Good thread:
It was a tough decision for me but I went as follows:
-John Cena
-CM Punk
-Daniel Bryan
-Randy Orton
-Dolph Ziggler
Honorable mention: Ryback.
Cena is far and away the #1 guy due to his domination of the child demographic....the largest demographic in the WWE.
Punk and Bryan are pretty self explanatory.
I listed Orton in at #4 because I still think the guy would be a tremendous heel.....and it would revitalize his character.....similar to what the WWE did with Punk recently.
I still think it would be in the WWE's best interests to re-unite Legacy.
Stepping in at #5 is Ziggler. Although the fans are really digging Ryback, I think Ziggler is a bit more well rounded as far as his character goes. He is also a far superior wrestler.

Sheamus
John Cena
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan
Dolph Ziggler
Was tempted to include Orton but feel right now Ziggler is slightly ahead of him and Sheamus ended up taking over his spot as "the guy" for Smackdown.
Cena and Punk are the top stars on RAW and Bryan is really moving up in status especially how huge his reactions are with the crowd. In the near future Ryback will be able to take over Bryan's spot on the list but not until he really gets involved in a real feud or match.

Look at all the FBDV's voting for these vanilla midgets like Punk and Cesaro. They aren't even top 20.

The question/subject is Top 5 WWE superstars today. Unless Punk’s died in the last several hours and nobody knows it yet, I think Punk is a legit choice.

I actually forgot about Sheamus when doing my Top 5, but I stand by my list (I.e. Cena, Punk, Bryan, Orton, Ziggler).
Orton may suck as a face (to the point where he's even lower than Sheamus), but a heel Orton would be of massive interest. As solid as Sheamus has been, I can't see him holding any major significance as a face or a heel. Orton on the other hand, has that "it" factor if pushed correctly.

Orton definitely needs to be repackaged as a heel, again. Since his whole wellness violation crap, he has been blah. His in-ring style is awesome, but he would absolutely be 1000% better as a heel. :y:
(Hooray for 50 posts!)

Orton shot himself in the foot. I believe he's leaving for a movie soon and the wellness violation kinda has him spinning his wheels. I don't really fault creative for not getting behind him.

I still think there's money and potential in having Legacy re-unite.
Rhodes isn't a main-event calibre guy right now no matter what many snarks may think.
The re-alliance of Legacy would definitely work.
And yes - I also don't blame creative for not backing Orton right now. Although Sheamus isn't as charismatic, the guy is far more deserving of being pushed due to the way he conducts himself.

Speaking of being under-utilized, The Miz would be much better off as a face I believe.
He can still be arrogant, etc., but he can be good as face I think.
Fans will get behind him if he's pushed right.
He won't be as big as Jericho was as a face in 2000, but I could see him being of a similar mold.

He definitely shares many qualities with Jericho, especially with his promo style. A face turn could be different..... I just can't picture it.

There's no way you can tell me that Damien Sandow or Tyson Kidd are better than CM Punk. Also Ryback hasn't proven anything yet. Honorable Mention? You're the only person not voting 5 times for Ryback to not vote for CM Punk.
I think you should just stick to Japanese stuff.
RESPECT!

I totally agree. Not in a silly RYBACK kind of way...
The guys that need to prove things tend to be guys that don't have what it takes to carry a company. If you blow up onto the scene without proving anything, it means you're the next big thing.
