They need to stretch it out to WrestleMania but yeah, this needs to happen.
Ryback can't lose though. They need to end it in a non-finish somehow. I know a Hell in a Cell match ending without a finish is ridiculous but they've backed themselves into a corner and the commotion and "HOLY FUCK" moment of Lesnar and Ryback could be enough to distract from the non-finish.
F5 off the top through the cage Foley style and puts a hole in the ring

Why would there be a HOLYFUCK moment between Lesnar and Ryback ? Ryback isn't super over even if they are pushing him to the moon.

... Why did Cena just do that? lol
Probably figures if he's going to be out might as well enjoy seeing Punk gets his ass kicked as consolation.
Found it funnier how they built up the whole important decision by Vince the whole night only to see Cena literally give away the announcement and just walks out of the ring leaving Vince speechless.
Did laugh at the comedic feeling of Ryback slamming Punk's head on the table.

Wonder if there's a chance they'll add Ziggler to the match ? Seems strange that he'd cut that promo, save face by leaving during his match then not be included in the main event. Also you would be able to have Punk retain without hurting Ryback.

I really don't see how they can have Ryback lose. They're just now picking up steam with him and just like that they're gonna have him lose and make him "human"?
Tough to see Punk's reign coming to an end though too especially since they've planted the seed for Punk-Rock at the Rumble and Punk losing it and ending this epic reign only to win it back and start another one from scratch seems ridiculous.
I don't know. They need to somehow think of a non-finish that doesn't leave the crowd facepalming.

Pushes for weeks to fight for Punk. Says that even though he is injured, he wants to fight. Then when the time comes for picking Punk's opponent, he is just like "Nah, you need your ass kicked. Fight Ryback, bro" and walks off.
He could have just been straightforward and said he was not cleared to wrestle yet.

I agree with you that they have backed themselves into a corner, but there are so many ways to make this a clusterfuck. I honestly think having Ryback lose (not clean obviously) would be the best thing for him. The problem with "undefeated monster" gimmicks is that eventually you will lose and then they never recover because there is nothing else for the character.
If Ryback gets completely screwed by Lesnar/Heyman/Punk and you solve that problem in one move. He has been beaten, but he has something to go into. The key is WWE can't do something too ridiculous/over the top to have them beat him (ie. taser him like Goldberg). I think Lesnar breaking into the cell and having a huge faceoff while Punk smashes him in the back of the head with the steel steps would be a good finish. They could have the referee Punk chastised a few weeks ago do a fast count and have Ryback kick out at a normal two but not in time for the quick 3.
I think the best idea with this whole Punk dynamic is for him to completely go overboard with his quest for respect. Heyman and him conspire to completely take over the WWE. If CM Punk will beat the shit out of Vince McMahon, who won't he assault, beat, or intimidate in order to get respect and control? They get the referee, they have Lesnar as the unbridled monster (and tease him growing tired of Punk). Don't make it a giant stable, but just have him either manipulate people or simply beat the shit out of them. Keep Lesnar appearances down to pretty much only for Ryback confrontations to build to that for WrestleMania.
Ideally, you build it to where when Rock/Punk happens at the Royal Rumble that it seems like The Rock is the shining white knight who is not only coming back for the WWE Title but he is the only one left who can save the WWE from Punk and company. Vince begs The Rock to do what nobody has been able to do in over almost 2 years...humble CM Punk. The Rock is pumped. The Rock is jacked. The Rock delivers electric promos...but Punk just smirks and doesn't say a word. The Pipebomb Machine is simply smug and relatively quiet going into the single biggest match of his life. CM Punk defeats The Rock clean at the Royal Rumble.
The Elimination Chamber looms and Vince has one last chance to keep CM Punk from headlining the biggest WrestleMania of all time. Ryback vs Lesnar vs Cena vs The Undertaker vs The Rock vs Punk inside the Elimination Chamber for the WWE Championship. Surely, there is no chance in hell that CM Punk can retain. Ryback eliminates Lesnar. Cena/Taker/Punk/Rock all team up to take out Ryback. When Ryback is forced to leave, an angry Lesnar comes out and they brawl on the stage. The Undertaker eliminates Cena. CM Punk eliminates The Rock. CM Punk and Undertaker battle. You do a ref bump where they have to open the door. CM Punk low blows Undertaker and runs out of the Elimination Chamber and leaves the arena in a car with Paul Heyman driving like a bat out of hell.
Vince McMahon comes out and announces that the Chamber is a no contest, but that he owes The Undertaker an apology. He forgot that he has the single greatest entity in the history of professional wrestling...The Phenom...The Streak...The Undertaker! CM Punk will have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide because at WrestleMania XXIX in Metlife Stadium he will defend his WWE Championship against THE UNDERTAKER! The greatest championship reign in 40 years versus The greatest WWE career of all time. What better way to humble CM Punk and teach him about respect than to turn him from the greatest WWE Champion since the 1970s to just a mere statistic. Just another statistic in an even bigger legend's legacy. I wouldn't have CM Punk beat Undertaker. I'd have it follow the recent formula of "as close as you can get without beating him". Undertaker doesn't wrestle often, but it is sort of a "farewell tour" that ends with Undertaker/Cena at WrestleMania 30 where Cena turns heel and cheats to end The Streak and win the WWE Championship for the first time in 3 years.

This might be their way out. Crooked ref counts a fast three while Ryback kicks out with authority at what should have been 2 and gets up ready to tear Punk apart some more. No more undefeated streak to worry about but Ryback doesn't lose that "unhuman" aura that he would lose by getting legit pinned even with outside interference. Perfect.
And at the end you can still do the Ryback-Lesnar stuff to really assure the show doesn't end on a sour, note with people feeling cheated.

WWE Raw on Monday, October 15 scored a 2.79 rating, which was essentially flat with a 2.78 rating last week. The standard two-hour rating was a 2.78 rating, reflecting another poor third hour performance.
- Raw averaged just under four million viewers with an average of 3.99 million viewers for all three hours, which was down three percent from last week. Again, the third hour trailed off, reflecting shifting viewing habits to 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. EST, with a drop-off during the 10:00 to 11:00 hour + over-run.
Hourly Break Down: 4.07 million first hour viewers, 4.01 million second hour viewers, and 3.89 million third hour viewers. The third hour included the big "decision" on C.M. Punk's WWE Title opponent at Hell in a Cell preceded by filler segments.
Raw did not show any gains despite ESPN's Monday Night Football game down nine percent to the lowest viewership since Week 1 of the NFL season.
- On cable TV Monday night, Raw ranked #3 in overall viewers behind the NFL and "Major Crimes" on TNT, which continues to win the Monday Night Battle against Raw. In key male demos, Raw ranked #2 behind football.
In the week-to-week demos, Raw was essentially even with last week's show, except for males 18-34, which creeped up to a three-week high. Within the actual Raw show, males 18-49 remained steady throughout without a third-hour drop-off, which is encouraging news.

And @ the 2nd part: I dunno, maybe some sort of crazy finish involving the guys somehow busting the Cell or they fight to the top and somebody crashes and burns through the cell roof or something. Just throwing pasta at the ceiling, so to speak. See if anything sticks.

Ryback vs. Punk is a good draw to get PPV buys, but holy fuck is it a bad idea booking wise, Ryback can't lose clean, nor can he win the title so soon without having ONE proper match on TV go longer than a minute, and a DQ finish is out because it's in a HIAC!
I hope they can write their way out of blowing their load on Ryback so soon. At least they could have fed him the IC title and the rest of the midcard first.
