So it's a big year here in the Tri-State area, who is going to Wrestlemania this year? Anybody coming to NYC for the week?
If so it could be fun to have a group meet up to go to some of the festivities, I live in NYC so we could pregame before traveling to any of the indy shows or the big one its self.
Roll up on these shows with a crew of rasslin know it all's could be a great time.

I'll more than likely be tailgating in the parking lot, much like I would for a Giants game.
I shudder to imagine how bad the traffic will end up being. It's awful for Giants games as is, an presumably WM will have even more people due to floor seating.

Anybody planning to meet up with Jordan X should make sure that they keep any females they may be travelling with at a safe distance.

He's not. He punches girls. In the face.

Really hope Hurricane Sandy doesn’t come anywhere close to NJ/NY or anywhere in the US...hope it defies all the forecasts and just drifts harmlessly out to sea, though I doubt it.
Wonder what WWE would do in the very slim chance that Sandy does hit there though and does (God forbid) widespread and massive damage to that whole immediate area? Obviously, would be horrible about the loss of human lives and possible massive destruction, but would they be able to book a different arena to locate WM XXIX at this point? We are at about only 5 months to go after all.

No. It is 5 months and 10 days (or 169 days). Either way you slice it, that is less than half a year, last I checked. :o Not trying to be a smart-ass, that’s just facts, jack.

Still, with the spectacle and everything has become the host city has to do a lot of planning and everything itself alongside with all the things WWE has to do to prep for that massive of a show and the events all that week.

Pre sale code is izodmvp for tix on sale Thursday at 10am vs general on sale Saturday at 10 am. I'm planning on a ticket in the 3-400 range which I'd assume is somewhere on the field at least since the only other price levels are 650, 850 for rows 5-12 and 2,000 for front 4 rows. Tix go 35, 50, 75, 100, 150, 175, 200, 300, 400, 650,850,2000

That's the met life seating chart, but last years with the prices should help figure out prices ahead of to,time..I want to sit closet to the stage so if those back parts of sec 1-4 fall in the red area of last years that's probably where I'll be

I'm trying to decide if I want a club seat. I know it's far away from the ring, but there are benefits to sitting in those sections.
Are they really that much higher than the 120's?

Passed up good second concourse tickets for $170 to see if I could get better seats. Now it seems I can't get anything (need 3) below like $500 per. FML. Looks like I may need to resort to Stub Hub or something.

I found a hotel in the newark area on hotwire, 2 stars so its likely a howard johnson (they dont say this, but theres a website that lists hotels people have gotten), 2 nights (sat/sun) for $57 a night. I know the general area and its relatively close for $57 and Im not a hotel snob when it comes to trips like this..
I honestly dont necessarily need a hotel for saturday but no way Im making a 5 hour trip to and from so I might as well. Havent booked it yet, gonna try priceline and a few others..
Priceline likely has the Extended Stay America for $60 in the Rutherford area as an express deal (again, hotel not named but its a lowly 1 star and thats the 1 star listed on my site for rutherford)..750 Edwin L. Ward Hwy,
link to hotels website, will not be $60 there thouhh (http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/hotels/meadowlands-rutherford.html)

that was a pic from the website I posted with pics from seats.
I was considering lugging a pair of binoculars myself just in case. The only major issue could be the support beams for the setup over the ring..I really dont know, but I think these were the best value tix I saw since $400 was putting me in the corner closest to the stage with the exact same angled view..i knew I didnt want to go higher up either..
Droford
11-08-2012, 02:26 PM
FYI I got the Howard Johnson on Route 3, 4.6 miles from Met Life Stadium on sat/sun for $55 on priceline via name your own price, $105 total cheaper than booking directly with them. Its in the "rutherford" area. If I decide to come up any earlier for anything else I'll get a different one.

Yeah that Extended Stay is close to 3, which goes to the Stadium. 17 connects to 3, and you might be able to get away from the price gauging if you look around there.

Droford, I called that Extended Stay America on Edwin L. Ward Hwy for a room. With the AAA Auto Club discount, my cousin and I got it for $70 each. Is that where you're staying, too? The guy I talked to said it's a 5 minute drive to the sadium (without traffic).
