DISCUSSION - What do you guys think of a Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler "Best of 7" series at some point?

I'm thinking that sometime after Wrestlemania next year, perhaps the two men can have somehow get into a feud and have a "Best of 7" series next year.

The two men are arguably the two best wrestlers in the company right now, and a series like this could really put both men at or close to John Cena/CM Punk level.

On Smackdown, I was thinking that the WWE could do the same with Sheamus and Wade Barret.

Ultimately - I would have both Wade Barret and Dolph Ziggler go over in the best of 7 by a score of 4-3.

Ziggler and Barret then get launched into true main-event status........not just as a temporary thing, but on the same "platform" as a CM Punk or John Cena.

I was thinking that both of these Ziggler/Bryan and Barret/Sheamus feuds could REALLY help get Barret and Ziggler to that next proverbial next level............similar to what it did for both Edge/Christian and the Hardy's back in 1999.

Ultimately - this could lead to both Ziggler and Barret getting World/WWE title shots at Summerslam ( and both men going over cleanly against whoever the champ is.......Cena and Big Show?).

I like that idea.

I support this concept, especially since you have the right men going over. Sheamus is too bland, and Bryan lacks the look (though personality is good). Until they prove they can plan things like this advance, however, I will not hold my breath.

I'd rather it be a best of 5. That's a better number like how the first round in the NBA playoffs used to be or the wildcard round of the MLB. A best of 7 should be saved for true legends like Of the River or the Ryback(all caps)

I would support such a series provided some gimmick stipulations for at least the final two matches to keep things fresh. Seeing any two performers go at it more than three times a month can get boring considering the WWE match limitations. If Ziggler and Bryan were in ROH, then I'd be all for such a regular-rules series of 7, 9, or 11 matches between the two.

That'd be sweet

Ugh, no. Neither are World Champ material and Juan is an ugly Mexican

Not a fan of the best of seven concept, and I don't think it flies very well in WWE. I definitely like the idea of them getting involved in something lasting though.

I like the idea of a Best of 7 concept, but I'm not sure exactly who I would like to see in one just now. I would actually it rather be used for two guys lower on the card, I think, and it be used to advertise their potential in the ring. Tyson Kidd vs. Hunico, for example, would take two of the best guys the WWE has from purely an in-ring point of view, and it would allow them to showcase their talents and create a buzz about themselves.

I like the idea of "Best-of" series. I think we could even take it a step further by doing a King of the Ring-style tournament with increasing lengths. For example, one match in the first round, best of three in the quarterfinals, best of five in the semis, and a best of seven in the finals. Run it during the annual post-Mania lull and use it as a way to get an upper-midcarder over as a title contender by giving him ten wins against four top opponents.
