Might be a little biased being I'm from Houston but Texas has put out some of the greatest wrestlers in history. Undertaker, HBK, Stone Cold & the list goes on & on.
In your opinion which state is known for putting out great wrestlers?

Augusta, GA was the city Hulk Hogan was born in. Nearby Aiken, SC was the birthplace of the Big Show.

I really don't like Philly, but I must admit that it is a good wrestling town. Also, nearly anywhere in the south.

Going with Minnesota, and not just because I spend a lot of time there when I'm not in the equally-as-freezing-cold land known as England.

Other than some of the ones already mentioned i'd say North & South Carolina seems to pump out a lot of talent.

May not be the top but The ole Hometown should get a mention. Pittsburgh with Bruno Sammartino, Kurt Angle, Larry Zbyszko and "The Franchine" Shane Douglas to name a few.

Yeah that's why he was last on the list. It was sort of in order of awesomeness. Wanted the complete list from the wiki or I wouldn't have included Neely or the Z-Man.

Any of the Carolina states. Most of the best and most popular wrestlers of the 60's through the 80's and even into the early 90's came out of the Carolinas and the Carolina promotions of the NWA.

Albeit he may not be one of the best pure wrestlers ever but the guy was the top draw outside of the WWE and Hogan for near two decades and had some of the best matches in that time period hands down. His fueds with Luger, Sting, Steamboat, Funk, Harley Race, and Dusty Rhodes were some of the best you could ask for.

None of those guys were born in Carolina. Flair is from Minnesota, but Magnum is the closest being from Virginia.

I never implied that they were born in Carolina, the title of the thread is which city and/or state has produced the best wrestlers. I didn't necessarily take that is that you had to be physically born there. I'm aware that most if none of those guys are from North or South Carolina, but that simply they had been breeded into success in the Carolina promotions. Sorry if my post was misleading.
