View Full Version : TNA Does something right for once
Saving Grace

As much as I don't care for most of their product, I happened to watch TNA last night and found that they actually did something relevant and right for once:
They resigned Velvet Sky!!
Probably one of the best moves they have made in quite a while. Yes its a knockout/diva so who cares right? Sorry but the lady can go in the ring and she was a huge draw with the male audience, she's a beautiful woman.
I give credit to Dixie Carter to at least realize she lost a starpower knockout who drew with the crowd and worked at re-signing her.

I am interested to see where the AJ Styles thing goes. I hope it isn't just another continuation of his annual babyface/heel turn.

Can't stand Jeff Hardy still.

Jeff Hardy is pretty much from what I hear on his way out. I've heard rumors that his back is pretty much fucked at this point. I know his TNA contract is up in February and according to some of the dirt sheets I've read that he's been not willing or unable to reach a new agreement with TNA management. But then again take a dirt sheet for what it is, just a dirt sheet. But you can clearly see it that he's not performing at the level a Jeff Hardy match once was, you can see he's clearly hurting at points in alot of his matches.

I was more happy to see Madison Rayne back, honestly. I like Velvet, though.
Also, Bully Ray looked like a killer last night. Props to Jesse for taking that chest slap. Fucking brutal.

Bully Ray has definately impressed me with his turn around in the ring and the shape that he has gotten himself in. I'm also impressed with Devon in singles as well, Aces and Eights albeit a storyline not worked correctly is a good outfit for him to be the on TV ring leader for.

I didn't think Bully would work as a face when I saw it first start happening, but it looks as if he'll keep most of the elements that made him awesome as a heel. Austin Aries is the man, too.
I'm still not sold on Devon. He feels pretty forced in the biker gang.

I'm sold more on Devon than Luke Gallows. Hey look I got a shaved head and I hit people with a hammer just isn't working for me.

I'm digging D.O.C., actually. I mean, he's no Luke Gallows, but you'll have that. The hammer is a creative weapon, and it looks pretty good when used.

She is still terrible in the ring and by far not the most attractive "Knockout" in the company..... but the fans dig her and it was a smart decision to bring her back.....

Best thing TNA ever did was the promo from last year with Hogan, Flair and insane Sting when Flair started dropping F-Bombs, Sting did a horrible impression of a gay man and Hogan blustered about nonsense. Loved it for all the wrong and right reasons.

I think it was more of a wild statement to show his apathy towards her looks but I see why you might think that, my video probably didn't help.

I thought overall last night was a pretty good show. I like that Angle has more or less "taken over" for Sting against Aces and Eights. I've felt he had been horribily under used for awhile in TNA. I couldn't help but laugh when Robbie E and T got a pretty big pop last night. I'm thinking the other "big guy" is gonna be the next one unmasked (the one that took out Kurt's knee and then was in the tag match)
Saw some recent photoshoots of her and Angelina and she looked dreadful, skanky as fuck.

my welcome
Tara and Velvet should team as "The Cougar (referring to Tara's age) and The Skunk" (referring to Sky's dye job).

She has the "AJ Lee Factor" going on: skull motif on her clothes, aqualine face profile, and cheesecake-soft hamstrings, except Velvet has a larger North America.

Agreed. I'm still waiting for Devon's sons to come out and waffle Jeff Hardy with whiffle ball bats. Devon's a family man, not a thug!

I will admit, the Aces & 8s theme is pretty damn catchy.

Probably his worst one for me, since he attempts to sing somewhat in a tune and it really doesn't work.

They resigned Velvet Sky!!
Since you have the Sandow thing going on, I feel perfectly justified beating this dead horse.
Resign means to give up or withdraw from a job, office, or position.
Re-sign means to sign again.
Get it right. You were 50% in the opening post.
YOU'RE WELCOME.

Difference is, Velvet Sky is actually attractive.

I dunno I just think her clothes, hair, makeup all detract from it a bit. Yeah, I get that she's a female wrestler and they're supposed to be all dolled up for TV or whatever, but there's so many other examples of that in women's wrestling that it just reeks of superficiality.

Who is a 10 for you?
Honestly, like, I dunno if I've ever rated a female wrestler a perfect 10 in my head. Sort of feels wasted if you just toss out 10's willy-nilly. I’d say Stacy Keibler, Torrie and Trish come the closest, they'd probably rate anywhere between 9.4-9.9ish...:-\

You have to have a 10. Maybe someone will come along and make you change your scale eventually, but you have to have a 10.

I know. But certainly you can understand where I wouldn’t want it to feel like just a waste on someone who everybody else says is a “6.5 -- maybe a 7 at best”.
Can’t you?
