I was watching Fully Load'd 99' and it was the IC title match Edge Vs. Double J. The match wasnt all that good but that was the good times when the Brood was around.. so in the middle of the match the Brood's music hits.. the lights go out, and then bam they come on and blood bath... Those days kicked ass... it just brings back so many memories... i hope the WWE can pull some more good stuff out of there bag of tricks... :-\

Don't forget when he defended the Hardcore title in a ball pit play center. That was awesome!

That was @ Funtime USA on Knapp Street in Brooklyn :)

I had been there several times before that,as it was (and I think
still is) a regular WWE promotional spot. They've had Shawn Mich-
aels and a bunch of other wrestlers appear there for autographs.

I was just about to bring that up. That WAS awesome. Everyone made fun of Crash for his height and here he is running through a pit of balls and doing moves on a sliding board.

There was a ton of shit to love about the late 90's. Hardcore Stone Cold, Hardcore Rock, 2 groups of DX, The Brood, the gang wars (Nation vs DOA vs Los Borito's?), Deadman Taker vs Evil Demon Kane, 3 faces of Foley.... it was just great. It almost brings a tear to my eye but I can't help but think one day we're going to look back on days like today and talk about how good they were.

I think the WWE is headed in the right direction but I'm not giving my hopes up.

Chris Benoit is being pushed, Jericho is getting a face turn, Kane is a monster again, Taker could be coming back as the deadman, The Rock is getting pops like crazy when he shows up, Austin is coming back, and we have guys like Randy Orton and John Cena who are no doubt potential leaders for their respective brands.

Hopefully in a year it won't be bad to the point where we're here bitching because the WWE just isn't like it was NOW... and we'll be too busy marking out about what we're seeing on TV to worry about what we're not.
