Title says it all. How would you book now until the Granddaddy? Punk keeps the title and faces Taker? Rock-Cena II for the title? How does Lesnar fit in? Will HHH wrestle?

CLASH OF THE CULTS OF PERSONALITY
CM PUNK vs STEVE AUSTIN

After beating The Rock and getting screwed at Elimination Chamber, CM Punk comes out and says that he is still "The Best in the World" and there is no other superstar in this business who has EVER obtained the level of greatness he has. He knows everybody is out to get him, but he is going to raise hell and somehow get his rematch at WrestleMania. Vince McMahon comes out and promises CM Punk that he will not get a title match at WrestleMania, and will only get his rematch if he can win at WrestleMania against Vince's hand-picked opponent.

Vince McMahon says that CM Punk isn't quite the greatest superstar of all time. Hell, he isn't even the guy who Vince has screwed the most. Vince shows all the clips of Punk talking down to the stars of the "Attitude Era" and finally shows the interview done for WWE 13 with Austin and CM Punk. The crowd is buzzing and CM Punk looks like he has seen a ghost.

"CM Punk, you won't get a title match but you will get the biggest match...no...fight of your life at WrestleMania XXIX. You want to be the greatest superstar of all time, you want to be the baddest son of a bitch in the history of the WWE? Fine, you can prove it against a Hall of Famer who called me and said "I've got one more match in me, and I want to open a can of whoop ass on that punk ass!"

"CM Punk, you are going to go one-on-one in that very ring with..."

*GLASS SHATTERS*

~CROWD GOES APESHIT~

CM Punk and Steve Austin completely brawl around the ring until security breaks it up. CM Punk is dragged out of the arena while Austin is smiling and Vince has an evil grin on his face."

Winner: CM Punk defeats Stone Cold with the GTS.

Follow-up: He then forces Paul Heyman to chose between him and Brock Lesnar. Heyman turns on CM Punk and he goes on the warpath to get back in WWE Championship and put the title back around the waste of a "full time fighter".

WWE CHAMPIONSHIP/CAREER VS TITLE -- "I QUIT" MATCH
TRIPLE H vs BROCK LESNAR (c)

Brock Lesnar returns at the Royal Rumble and almost wins until Daniel Bryan shocks the world and eliminates him. Brock Lesnar is put into "The Greatest Match In WWE History/Ultimate Elimination Chamber Match" by Vince McMahon in his last attempt to get the WWE Championship off of CM Punk after he beats The Rock at the Royal Rumble. Brock Lesnar def. CM Punk, The Rock, John Cena, Sheamus and Randy Orton. Vince McMahon calls on Triple H to avenge his loss and stop Brock and Heyman. Brock threatens to leave with the WWE Title and will only accept the match if Triple H puts more than his broken down old body on the line...he wants to take his passion and livelihood away from him forever.

Winner: Brock Lesnar via Vince McMahon/Stephanie McMahon stopping the match when Triple H is utterly destroyed.

Follow-up: Paul Heyman finally can't contain the CM Punk/Brock Lesnar powder keg as CM Punk wants his title back after getting "screwed" in the Elimination Chamber.

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DANIEL BRYAN vs CHRIS JERICHO (c)

Chris Jericho is also a surprise return in the Royal Rumble match and makes it to the Final Four. He talks Booker T into putting him into the Elimination Chamber, and he manages to win it. Daniel Bryan wins the #1 Contender Tournament/Battle Royal. Chris Jericho says he will teach Daniel Bryan about submissions and respect at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan says he is tired of being called Goatface and tired of living a nightmare at every WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan will have his WrestleMania moment at Metlife Stadium.

Winner: Daniel Bryan via submission. Chris Jericho is "injured" and leaves again.

Follow up: Daniel Bryan is challenged by the winner of the "Rock Challenge" (see below).

THE WINNER FACES THE ROCK NEXT
CODY RHODES vs DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/ AJ)

Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes begin their conflict when Cody Rhodes eliminates Ziggler in the Chamber match and Ziggler goes apeshit afterwards and costs Rhodes his spot. Rhodes speaks ill of AJ and the feud goes into overdrive. The Rock comes out after the Elimination Chamber and announces that he failed to meet his goal of winning the WWE Championship, but he hasn't given up yet. He is going to have to do it the old fashioned way. Dolph Ziggler comes out and says that The Rock is no longer Brahma Bull but just a dinosaur turd. But, Mr. Money In The Bank would love to end his delusions of once again becoming a mainstay in WWE. Cody Rhodes comes out and says Dolph doesn't deserve to challenge The Rock. WrestleMania needs to have the 2 most famous sons of Hall of Famers at Metlife Stadium. Booker T and Teddy Long come out announce Rhodes/Ziggler for WrestleMania. Booker agrees that The Rock needs to compete at WrestleMania and one of these two young stars deserves a shot at the biggest match of their lives. So, the winner of Ziggler/Rhodes gets to go one-on-one with the Great One that same night and have a chance to put them over the top!

Winner: Dolph Ziggler wins after AJ shenanigans.

THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME
DOLPH ZIGGLER (w/ AJ) vs THE ROCK

Read above. The Rock would get to feud with 2 people at once, make fun of AJ and Sandow as well, and give him more material to work with. It'd be interesting to see how that'd work.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler (clean). AJ is ejected before the match ever starts by Booker T.

THE STREAK'S GREATEST CHALLENGE
THE UNDERTAKER VS JOHN CENA

After John Cena fails to win the Royal Rumble or Elimination Chamber, John Cena announces that there is only one thing left to do. He has lost 2 WrestleManias in a row, but will still REFUSE TO BACK DOWN! HE REFUSES TO SLOW DOWN! JOHN CENA IS CALLING OUT THE UNDERTAKER BECAUSE I'M GONNA END THE STREAK BEHIND CENATION AND WITH HUSTLE, LOYALTY, AND RESPECT!!!1

*GONG*

*TOMBSTONE*

Undertaker shakes his head at a knocked out John Cena. Taker walks up the ramp and turns around as Cena finally gets up and hangs on the ropes.

"Boy, this is STILL MY YARD! Be careful what you ask for because hell's flames burn the flesh of sinners and saints alike. Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect have carried you this far but they will lead to your downfall at WrestleMania when face The Phenom on a night when he is untouchable."

Cena succumbs to Taker's mind games and is really getting frustrated.

Winner: John Cena wins after turning heel and cheating to beat The Undertaker. After a ref bump, The Shield comes out and surrounds the ring. The Undertaker and John Cena look around and prepare to fight them off when John Cena low blows The Undertaker and The Shield attacks Undertaker. Cena grabs the ring bell and blasts him with it as The Shield scatters. The ref starts coming to as Cena nails The Undertaker with the Attitude Adjustment and pins The Undertaker.

Follow up: John Cena comes out and says that The Shield finally clicked in his head and he talked to them and decided to join their cause. What greater injustice is there than a guy who has done everything he can do for fans and a company only to get shit on and thrown to the side for a loud mouth punk or guys who left the WWE high and dry while Cena saved Vince McMahon's ass. John Cena finally let the "Cena Sucks!" and disrespect get to him. John Cena has done it all in the WWE and still hasn't earned your respect. "I tried to earn it, but now I'm going to give you all reason to hate me. I was your hero, but now I'll show you what you already have known for a decade: John Cena will overcome the odds, John Cena will do the unthinkable, John Cena will win, and John Cena will once again dominate this company but this time I'm not putting on a smile. I'm just going to beat the hell out of everyone you think is better than me until there is nobody left and you finally have to respect John Cena."

A YEAR IN THE MAKING
WADE BARRETT VS RANDY ORTON

After losing the Intercontinental Championship to Rey Mysterio at Elimination Chamber, he makes an impact by breaking into the Elimination Chamber match and beats the hell out of Randy Orton. He says that he still hasn't forgotten about their battles last year and doesn't consider it finished. He is going to finish it at WrestleMania.

Winner: Wade Barrett

THE SILVERBACK VS THE GRIZZLY BEAR VS THE CYBORG
MARK HENRY VS BIG SHOW VS RYBACK

Mark Henry is another surprise return in the Royal Rumble. He doesn't win, but earns a spot in the WHC Elimination Chamber match. He eliminates The Big Show and Big Show runs back in with a chair and beats him with it and it leads to his elimination. Ryback faces Mark Henry and Big Show interferes and beats them both up with a chair. It now turns into a 3-way clusterfuck feud of massive humanity. The big guys fight at WrestleMania to settle the super heavyweight score.

Winner: Ryback

Follow-up: Mark Henry picks up where he left off in the main event scene after turning heel again in a few months. Big Show keeps his momentum from the past few months going. Ryback looks like a GOD after doing power moves to both men and winning the match.

LUCHA'S PAST MEETS LUCHA'S FUTURE/INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
REY MYSTERIO (c) vs SIN CARA

After winning the Intercontinental Title and failing to win the Tag Titles, Mysterio/Sin Cara basically repeat the Eddie/Rey storyline from 05 going into WM21. Friends have friendly competition that ends up leading to a one-on-one match.

Winner: Sin Cara.

Follow-up: Rey winds his career down and Sin Cara goes to finishing school to replace him.

UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
ALBERTO DEL RIO VS ANTONIO CESARO (c)

Cesaro goes after Ricardo Rodriguez after a tag match or something. It escalates into a nice little feud.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

Follow-up: They continue the feud and Cesaro wins the title back eventually.

GRUDGE MATCH
THE SHIELD VS SHEAMUS/KANE/KOFI KINGSTON

The Shield starts to go relentlessly after Sheamus, Kane, Daniel Bryan, etc. in the following weeks. Kofi gets invovled after they attack him when he tries to help.

Winners: The Shield. The match is a complete brutal clusterfuck like at TLC, butless ladders/tables and more of just a pier 6 brawl.

Follow-up: Heel Cena now gets fresh feuds with Sheamus, Kane, Kofi, and others. The Shield themselves eventually go after the Tag Titles, enact The Freebird rule, and have a run.

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS vs PRIME TIME PLAYERS (c)

After winning the titles at Elimination Chamber, The Prime Time Players are more arrogant than ever. They beat The Uso's or something and have an over-the-top balloon and pyro celebration with fake money falling and the whole 9 yards. They go to commercial and come back with PTP still in the ring. They won't stop. WWE Agent Road Dogg comes out to get them to leave. PTP slaps and beats up Road Dogg. They finally leave and make fun of Road Dogg.

The next week, Road Dogg comes out and says that he ain't gonna get punked by some punks. Road Dogg went to Vickie Guerrero and asked for a favor. She obliged. The Road Dogg got to pick your opponents for WrestleMania. "Do you know who I picked, Prime Time Players? OH, YOU DIDN'T KNOW!"

*cue music and Billy Gunn*

"The Road Dogg is gonna get to SHAKE, RATTLE, and ROLL one more time and is gonna do it at WrestleMania with his boy Bad Ass Billy Gunn. Prime Time Players, you are going to defend your titles against yourrrrrr next WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS OF THE WORRRRRRRRRRRRLD - THE ROAD DOGG JESSE JAMES, THE BAD ASS BILLY GUNN...THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS!!!"

"and if your not down with that we got TWO words for ya..."

Winners: Prime Time Players in a WAR. NAO even shake their hands after the match. The goal is to build PTP up as a legitimate tag team to be respected.

Something about this card is oddly perfect. I would add Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee for the Divas Championship as a cooler between main event matches (although I have a feeling that AJ Lee will be oddly over at the event), but apart from that, I can't really fault the card. The Miz, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes are really the only major stars left off the card, but you're going to need some guys for comedy segments throughout the show, and Mania is all about the biggest stars and the biggest storylines.

I assume that you have Ziggler cashing in on the winner of Del Rio/Swagger (which would probably be Del Rio, right?) and then being forced to defend his World Title in a previously scheduled match against Chris Jericho later in the evening? I love that idea, and I actually think the WWE would really benefit off doing it. I'd even go as far as to have Jericho win, even though I know a lot of people would be upset at Ziggler losing the title so quickly again. It would intensify the Ziggler/Jericho rivalry and you could do Jericho vs. Ziggler vs. Del Rio at Extreme Rules, which would be a lot of fun.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The New Age Outlaws (c) vs. Team Hell No

* The New Age Outlaws return on old-school RAW and upset Bryan and Kane due to the two having communication issues. Teams like The Prime Time Players and Epico & Primo are then used to put over The New Age Outlaws in following weeks. Team Hell No get back on the same page, taking on more heelish roles (they don't turn, but they become more serious and start attacking The Outlaws from behind, etc.). WrestleMania sees the two teams face off, with Hell No winning back the Tag Team Championship from one of the greatest teams of all-time.

* Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox continue their torture of Dolph Ziggler by forcing him to defend his Money in the Bank title shot in another Ladder Match. Cesaro and Barrett are confirmed as competitors due to being singles champions. Christian is added to the match as a "Ladder Match specialist." Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth all make it in as notable mid-carders. Mark Henry is given a spot due to being the beast that he is. The Miz is a former winner and WrestleMania headliner. Zack Ryder is added via some sort of vote, just to make this "the biggest Money in the Bank Ladder Match of all-time," just to piss off Ziggler. Despite all odds, Ziggler wins this match and proves that he really does deserve to be in the main event spotlight.

* Ryback vs. Big Show is basically set up by Ryback coming out and saying that he wants the largest meal possible at WrestleMania and challenging Big Show for a match at the big show. I'd actually have Ryback win via disqualification when Show loses his shit and basically tries to put Ryback on the shelf with a steel chair. Show goes to the top rope and looks to dive onto Ryback (who has the chair wrapped around his neck), but Ryback gets to his feet and strands Big Show on the top rope before hitting a rope-assisted Shell Shocked off the top rope. This gives these two an excuse to face off at Extreme Rules in a more competitive match, but gives Ryback the win and the WrestleMania moment of Shell Shocking Big Show.

* Sheamus & Orton seem poised to face The Shield at WrestleMania, and while it seems like the WWE are going to have Big Show side with Sheamus & Orton (with the question being "Can they trust Show?" which is a red herring, as it turns out Orton is the one they can't trust), I'd still go with the returning Chris Jericho aligning with Orton & Sheamus in time for Mania. In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Jericho could make all three members of The Shield look like stars in singles matches. They could also do the trust thing with Jericho once being a "Heyman guy," much like Big Show was. In this six-man, Orton turns on Sheamus & Jericho and hits Jericho with an RKO allowing Dean Ambrose to score the pin for his team. Jericho then wants a piece of Orton (as does Sheamus), and Jericho faces Orton on RAW and gets put on the shelf by The Viper, allowing a clear floor for Orton vs. Sheamus at Extreme Rules.

* AJ Lee beats her former best friend for the Divas Championship in her hometown and looks like a little beast while doing it. In my perfect world, an evil cackling would be heard over the arena's speakers and Kharma would return to make it clear she has issues with AJ after the match, but it's not necessary.

* Alberto Del Rio beats Jack Swagger with the Cross Armbreaker. Del Rio actually has the match won twice, but the first time Swagger taps, Zeb Colter's got the referee distracted. Ricardo Rodriguez takes out Colter and Swagger tries to get the drop on Del Rio, but ADR is too crafty and gets Swagger in the Armbreaker again for the submission win. After the match, Big E. Langston lays out Ricardo during his announcement of Del Rio's victory, leaving Del Rio distracted enough for a Zig Zag from behind. Ziggler cashes in, but Del Rio kicks out at two. Ziggler stays on Del Rio, but ADR makes a bit of a babyface comeback. AJ Lee makes her presence known at ringside and grabs a leg of Del Rio. Ziggler then rolls up Del Rio for three to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Ziggler and AJ celebrate with matching championships on the stage in the usual make-out manner.

* The Undertaker defeats CM Punk. I'd almost be game enough to put Punk over, but I know a lot of people would hate that. Taker gets the Hell's Gate on Punk, but Punk doesn't tap. Instead, the referee calls for the bell when it is clear that Punk can't continue, and The Undertaker is named the winner of the match via submission. Taker looks bothered that he couldn't get Punk to tap-out, but takes his victory. This keeps the streak going but it also makes Punk look like a real bad-ass, not unlike Stone Cold Steve Austin. If the WWE chooses to do Punk vs. Austin, perhaps even dedicating its own PPV to it instead of running a filler PPV, this creates a further dichotomy between the two.

* This is where we get a bit of a break between big matches and we have the Hall of Fame guys come out. We then also get Santino Marella coming out with Brodus Clay and Tensai and trying to lead the WWE Universe in the world's largest Harlem Shake or whatever it is. 3MB crash the party, because people don't want to see these idiots dance -- they want to hear the 3MB, BAAAAABBBBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY! Planet Funk kicks ass, tosses the 3MB out, and then we have our comedy segment.

* Heading into WrestleMania, Paul Heyman calls out Vince McMahon and says that if Vince never backs away from a challenge, he's got a good one for Vince -- "let's raise the stakes for WrestleMania." Heyman challenges Vince to put his control of WWE on the line in the No Holds Barred Match between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. Maybe some stipulation is added about outside interference being banned or something -- preventing lackey interference on either side. Vince reluctantly agrees to the terms, and this puts strain on the Vince/Triple H relationship heading into WrestleMania. In the match, the referee is knocked down, and out comes Shawn Michaels in a referee shirt. Heyman is absolutely livid and yells at Vince "What is this? We agreed to no outside interference!" and Vince proceeds to knock Heyman out. Lesnar is frustrated by the presence of HBK as referee, but Shawn implies that he's here to call this right down the middle. Lesnar's of course not buying any of this but a school boy followed by a fast count from HBK (only getting two) confirms Lesnar's suspicions. He goes after HBK but gets a Sweet Chin Music into a Pedigree for his troubles. A three count later and Vince McMahon is still in control of the WWE. Vince, Triple H and Shawn make the case that HBK wasn't "outside interference" since he was a referee in the match (and HBK even procures a referee's licence to prove it), but there's enough doubt for Heyman and Lesnar to make another challenge to Vince and co. for Extreme Rules. An old-school environment that allows for all-out war...two teams of five...winners by submission or surrender...

* In the main event, John Cena beats The Rock with the Attitude Adjustment to become the eleven-time WWE Champion, and to prove that he is still the franchise player in WWE. After the match, however, as a bit of a cliffhanger to the PPV, The Shield jump into the ring and attack both Cena and The Rock after a moment of respect between the two. The PPV ends with the three radical newcomers standing tall -- perhaps even with them taking turns posing with the WWE Championship belt, and perhaps even taking possession of it. This would set-up John Cena & The Rock vs. The Shield at Extreme Rules quite nicely.

Mr. Nerfect
03-03-2013, 07:46 PM
In fact, if you combine the issues that Triple H and Shawn Michaels would have with Brock Lesnar, and you combined the issues that John Cena and The Rock would have with The Shield -- you could have a War Games team of Triple H, John Cena, The Rock, Daniel Bryan (under recommendation by Shawn Michaels) and Kane against Brock Lesnar, CM Punk & The Shield. Throw in a Tables Match between Ryback and Big Show, an "Extreme Rules" Match between Randy Orton and Sheamus, a World Heavyweight Title match between Dolph Ziggler and Alberto Del Rio and a Divas Title rematch between AJ and Kaitlyn en route to Kharma facing AJ and you already have yourself a pretty fucking stacked card for Extreme Rules.

It seems that the WWE is positioning things for Randy Orton, Sheamus & Big Show to face The Shield; Ryback to face Mark Henry; and The Miz to face Dolph Ziggler. This would leave Chris Jericho to challenge one of the mid-card heel champions, and although a lot of people would assume that it'd be Wade Barrett vs. Chris Jericho, I think I would actually prefer Antonio Cesaro vs. Chris Jericho. The US Title is the only championship Jericho has not held in his WWE career. Plus, I think Jericho and Cesaro would tear the building down with ten minutes. Have Wade Barrett maybe defend his IC Title in the pre-show Battle Royal.
