So I have never been the huge gamer type. I turned on my XBox for the first time since Final Fantasy XIII came out and I noticed a demand section with games. My question is, do these games cost more to install from the demand section that going to the store and actually buying the game?

Thank you for your time.

For the most part they are either the same or more expensive than just buying them at a store.

Biggest problem is the games don't go on sale as often as they'd do in a normal store or take a lot longer to drop in price outside of special sales.

I actually have a question regarding this. If I buy a game through it, then something happens and I lose it, say the hardrive goes or something like that and I have to reformat. Highly unlikely probably, but will use that as an example anyways. As long as I restore my gamertag, I shouldn't have to repurchase the game right? Just redownload?

I've bought one game this way: Red Dead Redemption. I'd say it was somewhat of a mistake because I don't really have enough space in my hard-drive to keep it on. I need to get a bigger hard drive for my 360 or something.

Can you use a normal external hard drive to save game files now and the like now?

It will be tied to your gamertag, just like any XBLA games you get. You can redownload it at any time when you're logged into that account.

I think the newer XBox's can do that. My uncles has one of his profiles on a 1gb memory stick. Mine's a 2008 model, so it doesn't support that.

I just bought a 120gb hardrive for my 360. There's lots of games I want to just but and download, but don't want to eat up that space then run into a spot where I need the room, but don't have it.

All models support USB storage with a firmware update.
