Everyone knows my feelings toward Jake. I've already sent him money before. Got some autographs...big whoop. Time to help him finish this journey.
Too bad the video didn't say where to go to send it...

I love Jake and what he has been doing... but damn... that video made it seem like he was dying or something, not that he needed shoulder surgery.

He has surpassed his goal with 30 days left. I wonder once the money comes in if he will pull this or keep it going to pad his wallet?

Oh please. He's an addict. He hasn't just been addicted to crack, naive Jew.

Jeez, Adamle. Anyway, I'm sure they will take that into consideration during his treatment and rehabilitation. Jake Roberts is probably going to have to deal with a lot of the pain during this whole thing, and I'd like to think Roberts has come far enough that he will be ready to deal with this challenge. Addiction recovery is a daily struggle, and he finally has a support system in place and has had tangible results that hopefully motivate him to keep fighting every day. If Jake Roberts pulls through this and does recover, it could be a great story for all recovering addicts and the best story pro wrestling has had in a very long time.

What I want to see, probably not this year..but definitely next year as long as he can stay on track, is for Jake to go in the hall of fame. Would definitely be one of the memorable speeches.

This is just the "Oh no bump in the road" part of the documentary.

I believe that with DDP'S help Jake will be better n healthier. I would like to think that Vince would help him out though with Jake using drugs in the past probably did some damage to their relationship unfortunately. Jake would be great for the WWE as a part of creative or help training new talent. Jake also should have been in the HOF already in my opinion too.

For the same reasons Scott Hall hasn't even been invited to the events - you can't have a guy pilled out of his mind on stage. I think it would be one of the best stories to happen to wrestling and a tremendous story in general if Jake stays on this path and can get inducted next year after being sober for over a year. I don't think there would be a dry eye in the room once his speech was over. Wrestling needs a happy ending to one of these stories and what could be more improbable and awe-inspiring than Jake Roberts going from the absolute gutter to being happy and healthy again.

There was some kind of documentary someone posted on here a while back involving Jake the Snake. Guy had a really fucked up childhood, it looks like. You make your own choices in life, but it kind of made me a little soft on him. It wasn't like he had some third world problem childhood, his family seemed pretty fucked up.

Not only is this a great article but according to the writer, John Canton, DDP reached out to him to let him know that it was his favorite piece written about Jake and both he and Jake shed a tear while reading it.

Reaching the 25k mark. Really hoping the leftovers don't go to crack. Not being an asshole. I'm serious.

I'm hoping the money goes to an account DDP controls.
