Dixie Carter posted to Twitter promising a “major announcement” on Thursday’s episode of iMPACT!. The announcement will reportedly be TNA taking iMPACT! on the road this year.
Whether the promotion will still occasionally return to the Impact Zone is unknown as of this writing. The plan is for the company to hold a live episode of iMPACT! and tape the following week’s show right afterward, similar to how WWE did things in the early days of RAW.
The announcement will be a pre-taped video segment from Dixie as nothing aired overseas when iMPACT! was taped last week.

I’m sure they’d probably have to return to Orlando every once in a while, or else the only place they’d be permanently going would not be on the road, but bankrupt.

I do not think this is a good idea.... every once in a while on the road makes more sense to me.....
Wonder how the talent feel about this. Some of the guys are there because of the lighter schedule/no travel.

They will do it for a month or two and then return to the Impact Zone and be all "HUGE NEWS! TNA WRESTLING RETURNS HOME!"

Congratulations TNA, you are finally going to act like a real promotion. Too bad you'll go bankrupt and lose all your big name stars who are too damn lazy to work a full schedule.

I'd go see a live show, why the hell not.

I miss having multiple nationally recognized brands.
Remember flipping between Nitro/Thunder and Raw/Smackdown before the days of DVR. Just nice to see something different now and again.

taker707 wasn't the GIMME YOUR ADDRESS guy. That guy hasn't posted in years.
this won't make a difference for a lot of the roster. Instead of being flown into Florida for TV once every few weeks, they'll simply fly somewhere else. Should be nothing but a success.

I see we're not talking about corgis, nor posting pics of corgis here....
*sigh*
On the topic of TNA touring, I feel this is a double edged sword. On one hand it'll help generate revenue as they'll (hopefully) be handing out less tickets to people as TNA isn't a normal thing in their area. If they can sell out smaller venues because people aren't used to seeing TNA on a normal basis, that'll be awesome for them.
The downside, which has already been said, is they have some talent that is just there for the easy lifestyle without all the traveling. Now it might not seem like much if they record Impact for two weeks in one venue, but it's more traveling than they're used to. If it works out, then it'll just get bigger, and bigger, and bigger, until they're touring as much as WWE. Some big names might leave TNA and go to WWE because if they're going to be on the road for 300+ days a year, why not get the bigger paycheck?
Just how I feel about it.
