Hell in a cell > Hell outside of a cell

Fact.

I think the second one is looked fondly upon because of the ending.

if you need it explaining then you didn't really "feel it", which is kind of what the whole thing was about. The 2nd match was the definition of "epic" in professional wrestling, not the cocknocker internet way of using the word epic but the actual meaning of the word epic. It was about as perfect of a story as you can tell in wrestling, it was more than just a match, it was basically the culmination of 4 years worth of Mania matches, Triple H's career and HBK and Taker's legacies and it couldn't have been done any better. I could make the 27 match or indeed any match ever seem poor by breaking it down in that manner.

HBK/Taker II > HHH/Taker I&II

The one at WM28 was better than the WM27 one, though.

There was a story being told right before our eyes. It was awesome.

HBK/Taker II > HHH/Taker I&II

HBK/Taker I > HBK/Taker II/HHH/Taker I&II

The story in the ring was more about HBK though honestly

But if you watch them back to back you would choose 27 as the better match no?

Honestly, I think 28 just had a better feel to it. 27 was a pretty unique match though.

absolutely not. 27 was great, 28 was fucking immense/awe-inspiring. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had never ever watched professional wrestling before and weren't aware of the participants and their history and so forth, dunno.

I'd argue the WrestleMania 17 match was the best of the 3 just based on the action in the ring, but when you throw in the emotion and environment - HHH vs Taker in Hell in a Cell is what professional wrestling is about.

The actual match at 27 was better, but the entire event, presentation, and spectacle of the 28 match was just unmatchable. 27 was an amazing "I desire to prove that I am better than you" match, 28 was "IT ENDS HERE AND I WILL END YOU!!!" After watching the HIAC the only thing I had to say was "what the hell did I just see?"

I will say with WM27 and 28 I saw absolutely no build up to either match.

Keith

Triple H and Undertaker don't need any build-up.

They can just come out once or twice, talk about respect, and they're good to go.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I just point out that this is the same man who said the music in contra is better than the music in megaman 2.

It was what happened between the moves that made the Hell in a Cell match so great.

Felt Mania 27 was better in terms of actual wrestling while Mania 28 was a lot better with the storytelling.

Mania 28 was almost the same as Mania 27 with the biggest difference being HBK playing a huge role in the second match.
