Piper/Goldust. Goldust should have had even a short run, just to see how it would go down.

defining the title i think is something for each poster to do on their own. I myself consider it the WWf title and wcw world title. but for some an AWA title may count, and ECW may count.

Curt Hennig comes to kind first. Then Piper, Bulldog, Owen, and Jake Roberts.

I am thinking WWE and WCW Championships.

do you think curt's size or lack of was the only reason vince didnt have him go over Hogan? mr perfect was a hot heel especially with the genius sidekick where an interference caused pin for perfect would have been believable as hell at the time.

think it was more vince was still into the big bulky guys should have the title or more Hogan having pull then?

Just think was a bigger draw with the belt than chasing it.

Piper is number 1 for me then Jake Roberts, Mr. Perfect and Rick Rude.

I suppose Scott Hall can go in there as well.

Mr Perfect

Would Andre the Giant count?

He did "win" his match although DiBiase rigged the whole thing which ended up having Andre lose the belt and the match treated like it never occurred (ex. Jericho's and Ziggler's 1st reign).

Didn't Hennig hold the AWA Title? If so, that did count as a World Title at one point (in the '70s and '80s)

A controversial Answer the question rather controversially: Barry Horrowitz.

I'd rather say William Regal

If people like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are getting the belt now then Owen should have gotten it as well. Preferably would've had him win the Submission match at Survivor Series 1994 instead of having Bob Backlund in there, although the match was still a classic in its own right.

It has to be either Roddy Piper, Million Dollar Man or Jake Roberts. Out of the 3 it would have to be Piper because he did great business when in the main events for WWE. Who knows where business would be today had it not been for Piper at Wrestlemania 1.

A lot of other people mentioned in this topic have won a World Title somewhere, whether it'd be in AWA or WCW.

It's kinda hard as time goes on and I don't see your face

Remember the times rollin' strong just you and me
It's real hard sometimes to keep it goin' day to day

Personally think DiBiase was overrated as fuck (in the ring, his character was gold.)

Have to remember by the time his Million Dollar Man character was created and he entered the world wrestling federation in 1984, Dibiase had already been in the business for 13 years, some of that magic and longevity with him was already gone. World Champion material, probably not, but definately a character that no one would ever forget and a fitting example to mic work, in ring psychology, and excellent delivery of story lines, by far Million Dollar Man goes into history as one of the most remembered and greatest heels in the business, that's hall of fame material but definately did not win him World Champion material for whatever reason.

Did Bob Backlund draw in his 3 or 4 days as champion? Honestly replacing Backlund with Owen in that wouldn't have changed a damn thing except give Owen a World Title reign on his resume.
