Konnan to WWE

Konnan is apparently working in TNA without a contract. He has been telling people that he plans to head over to the WWE in a couple weeks from now. There is also some talk of Eddie Guerrero being the one who is bringing him in to the WWE.

The problem is that Vince McMahon doesn’t really like Konnan too much from something that happened a few years back. The only reason Vince would let Konnan in the WWE is because it’s apparently a favor to Eddie Guerrero. Many feel that Konnan is not ready for a run in the WWE, however according to Konnan he will be going there to work something out in the next couple weeks.

Eddie Guerrero and Konnan both wrestled in Mexico around the same time period, they also wrestled in WCW in the same time period. They were both members of the WCW stable “The Filthy Animals” from late 1999 to early 2000, right before Eddie left WCW.

Working without a contract in TNA means that he is under no obligation to continue working TNA shows for any certain amount of time. Him not having a contract with TNA means he is a free agent and that he can work pretty much anywhere he pleases. Konnan was a huge draw in WCW and is still a crowd pleaser in TNA.

I think it had to do with Konnan doing the Max Moon gimmick back in the day for WWE, and Konnan left becuase he felt he was a bigger star. There's more to it than that, but I think thats the jist of it.

Anyway, I'm not a big Konnan fan, and I dont think he has a big following where he would do anything for ratings. However he does understand the business, and when he wants to he can cut a promo, so it may not be the worst idea. An alliance with Rey, Konnan and Eddie would probably do well against the ECW faction, if and when that happens.

Of course if they did that, the WWE would come up with a new name for the group instead of using Filthy Animals, like the Mexican Amigos or something like that.

I think Konnan could be a good asset to the compant, sure his mic work blows but his matches were always pretty good, (that might be cause he always wrestled against good workers) but still a reformation of rht filthy animals would be welcome. Not to mention Mysterio & Konnan could me a legit tag team in the Smackdown tag team division. Mysterio & Konnan vs. The Dudley Boys, that's be a very favorable match indeed.

Anyways, I liked Konnan in WCW during his run with the Filthy Animals, but he's not that great of a wrestler and would probably get buried in the WWE. But, if that's what he wants, then I wish him the best. Or something.
