View Full Version : Kane/Bryan WM Idea

There is a lot of conjecture recently that Daniel Bryan and Kane will be splitting up and battling at Wrestlemania.if this is true I pose this scenario:
The build up for Wrestlemania features the remaining tag teams smelling blood in water for Hell No and try to position themselves for a match at Wm 29.Kane and Bryan eventually break up and set up a match at Wrestlemania but they still hold the titles. The stipulation fits in with their popular mantra "I am the tag team champions!" And the winner walks away with both titles for themselves but must defend the belts against one of the other teams later in the PPV, preferably a heel team such as PTP or 3MB. The handicap match goes the way of the challenger team and we get new champions possibly building to another DAniel Bryan/Kane match the next Months PPV.
I'm familiar enough with you guys, so skewer it if you feel fit but it's just something they could do rather than the usual tag team breakup face-off.

I don't want Goat Face and Kane to break up. Still recovering from Rhodes Scholars premature break up.

If they break up, surely it has to be an "I Quit" match. Kane holds the microphone to Bryan's face, "NO NO NO!"

There seems to be no excuse for the aborted Rhodes Scholars team. One hell of a missed opportunity in my opinion.

Hell no vs Ambrose/Rollins
Only way I know to get the shield on the card. When they win they do free bird rule for defenses.

Yes, and when Roman Reigns splits from the Shield, he should start a stable in which those whom he defeats are "conscripted" into serving a la the Roman Empire.

Really hoping for a tag title ladder match clusterfuck at WrestleMania, with or without Team Hell No.

Like the idea Edgar. Would love it if the winner defended it against say, 3MB and Epico/Primo, and won before dropping it.
Arg, I loved Matt Morgans reign as the TNA Tag Champs.
Like the idea though.

Tag Team Turmoil at Mania with New Age Outlaws returning to win the belts. Billy Gunn leaving WM with a title is an instant ratings winner, and he can feud with Dolph Ziggler through to Summer Slam where he will ultimately win the WHC in a blow off match.

I'm entirely against them splitting Bryan and Kane up. They're both so over and entertaining right now, and one of them turning heel does nothing for either guy. Kanes career is winding down you'd assume, and Bryan got so over due to the chemistry and the dynamic he has with Kane. On his own I think he'll fade into obscurity a bit, he definitely shouldn't be thrust into any main event scenes any time soon.
Ideally for me they'd lose the belts, struggle a bit as a team, tease the break up before eventually winning the belts back again. Then a couple of months down the line have them lose the belts again and part ways, both staying face and keeping a sort of distant alliance.

I know, it's not over yet. They are a good fit.
I think we'll see Team Rhodes Scholars for a while yet. They've likely realised that there's nothing for them to do at Mania as singles competitors and with Truth coming back to help his former partner I'd anticipate something between Truth/Kofi and Rhodes Scholars.
Personally I'd do a Tag Team Turmoil at Mania (the team battle royal type like at Mania 14, not the gauntlet type) . Something like...
Hell No
Rhodes Scholars
Truth/Kofi
Tensai/Brodus
Epico/Primo
3MB
Ted DiBiase/Michael McGillicutty
Khali/Hornswoggle
Hunico/Camacho
Rey/Sin Cara (if they are healthy/you don't do a match between them)
Months ago I suggested having the New Age Outlaws in the spot that LOD occupied in the WM14 match (returning veterans of the division set for another run).
If they're set on splitting Hell No, do it here when Kane unintentionally eliminates Bryan (and himself) from the match. Do a big ringside brawl between the two of them that sets up a showdown for Extreme Rules.
Forgot Prime Time Players, add them in too.
Read this as "Kanye/Bryan WM idea"

Bryan vs. Kane to decide who really is the Tag Team Champions is something that I'm sure the WWE has at least considered doing, but I can't think of a team that really deserves the Tag Titles off these guys. They could put them on Rhodes Scholars and have them face Kofi Kingston & R-Truth, or they could give them to The Prime Time Players, but any Tag Title match involving them is going to some sort of WrestleMania clusterfuck. As far as Mania clusterfucks go, I'm actually hoping that Vickie Guerrero and Brad Maddox again force Dolph Ziggler into defending his briefcase in a Money in the Bank Ladder Match. This is where you fit Antonio Cesaro, Christian (if he's healthy enough), Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Wade Barrett, etc.
At this point, though, I'm thinking that Team Hell No should probably stay together through WrestleMania. They've been an entertaining act that deserves some time to stand tall at WrestleMania against challengers. Whether they face a team like The New Age Outlaws (Kane & Bryan beating one of the greatest teams ever might actually mean something) or whether it's against a bunch of teams, I think that Team Hell No should leave Mania Tag Champs and then be recruited for Team Triple H against Team Lesnar in War Games at Extreme Rules. OK, now I'm just pipe dreaming.

I'd keep them together for Mania since them feuding is only going to be overshadowed by the other big matches on the card. Save that match for Summerslam or a lesser ppv so it gets more focus.
For Mania itself, I'd go with a 4-Way tag team match.
1) Team Hell No
2) Rhodes Scholars (was stupid to split them to begin with)
3) Team Funk or whatever Clay/Tensai will be called
4) Toss up between 3MB or PTP.
Have the usual Bryan/Kane antics occur but this time it actually leads to them loosing the title and Rhodes Scholars as the champions. No Hug It Out moment but no actual attacking of each other.
Next night on RAW they hug as an uneasy truce but the break up gradually develops till the next ppv when once again they lose due to antics. Break up gets confirmed once they start attacking each other and the refs show up to separate them.
