View Full Version : Bradshaw picked on us all when we were at school :(

From his latest column on WWE.com
I am in the best wrestling shape I have been in in years. If we go a half an hour, I will be ready. For those of you fat, out-of-shape Internet wannabes who have never done anything more athletic than play checkers, kiss my ass for doubting me, and realize why you hate me. I was the guy in school who made you do my homework and locked you in your locker.
JBL will deliver Sunday and you can “report” whatever you want, but you will also realize how little influence you have, except to your little nerd friends. How long has it been since you guys that spend all your time reporting on us have been with a woman other than your mother? After all, when I see you in airports hanging out, you are always with guys. You guys don’t have a questionable sexual orientation, do you? Of course, it is 2004, I don’t judge.

Let's break this down a little:
I am in the best wrestling shape I have been in in years.
Best wrestling shape he's been in. That means he could outwrestle Rikishi, Bret Hart, or Kurt Angle's left nut. However, he probably thinks he's as deserving of a main event slot as Bret in his Prime, Kurt, Eddie, Jericho, etc.
For those of you fat, out-of-shape Internet wannabes who have never done anything more athletic than play checkers
Guess I can ignore this then. This internet wannabe's credentials include high school wrestling, fencing, and football.
kiss my ass for doubting me
You're not in the business, you don't get to decide if I'm a good wrestler, or entertaining. but please, keep watching. I need the money.
and realize why you hate me. I was the guy in school who made you do my homework and locked you in your locker.
Last guy who tried to bully me ended up getting his head smashed into a locker 5 or 6 times. The head trauma would explain by Bradshaw writes like this... but I must say, i really respect a guy who's able to make other people do his homework. :y:
JBL will deliver Sunday and you can “report” whatever you want, but you will also realize how little influence you have, except to your little nerd friends.
You're killing wrestling! but you have no effect on us!
How long has it been since you guys that spend all your time reporting on us have been with a woman other than your mother? After all, when I see you in airports hanging out, you are always with guys. You guys don’t have a questionable sexual orientation, do you? Of course, it is 2004, I don’t judge.
Coming from a guy who has already "judged" internet "nerds," I find his "I don't judge" remark iffy.
Even moreso, he's in some of the most homoerotic entertainment on TV, everyone knows about his little "shower antics," and he's questioning everyone else's sexuality? Yeah...
Anyways, a major LOL to all this. :D

Well, he's supposed to be a heel, not mister popularity.
However, he was writing this shit even when he was supposed to be a face.
Isn't it amazing how nobody seems to get the pattern that the people "internet fans" hate on are the ones who can't wrestle and aren't entertaining?
Naw. I'm jealous. I wish I could be that shitty a wrestler and get a main event slot. Hell, the damage to my knees pretty much insured that I would never be able to do a sport professionally, maybe I could main event with JBL! I'm sure it'd be just as good as having the icon of Atheliticism, Kevin Nash in the ring with him!

Its funny when these guys try to use internet heat as an indication that they are doing their job as a heel.
In a way I feel for him because he's been put in a tough position that he isn't ready for, and because SD has been raped of its talent he'll likely headline the lowest drawing WWE PPV in modern history.
However he's such a dickhead that any feeling of pity I have for him goes out the window.

Personally I like the John Bradshaw Layfield character, and I've personally always enjoed his wrestling style. I like the rough and tumble style of wrestling, everytim he nails a guy it really looks like he layed into him (probably cause he works stiff). I can understand why he's getting all pissed off at the internet fans. Hell, we all know that most of us can be overtly harsh most of the time, and if must be real sh*tty being reminded of how much you suck everyday. Personally I'd snap if I had to constantly read how shitty my short stories are. However, he's in an entertainment buisness, where he is out in a big stage, so he's subject to lots of scrutiny. The unfortunate thing is if he can't learn to deal with it he should really just shut his mouth. Why do you think HHH shut his mouth, because he knows everyone hates him, and he just goes about his buisness. I like Bradshaw, but when he goes off and makes broad genralizations, he makes it harder and harder for me to defend. Hence why I'm not really defending him here. The only way he's going to get the internet fans to shut up is if he and Eddie put on a good match, which I think they both have in them. Unfortunatly for him, if the match is good, everyone will say Eddie carried it, if the match is terrible, everyone will say it's JBL. He's damned if he does, and he's damned if he doesn't. He should have just shut his mouth and done his job.
Breaking news on this topic. Through a very reliable source, I have found out that this article was not even written by JBL. Bradshaw did write an article about this topic, however, but it was rewritten by his editor. Here's the edited version:
I am in the best wrestling shape I have been in in years. If we go a half an hour, I will be ready. Yall think yer so intralectual cuz you can type on yer little keyboards and make fun of ol Bradshaw, but let me tell you, I'm in the best shape of mah damn life!

That sounds like typical JBL! Bradshaw, the man who put 5-star matches in the past weeks against Luchador and Rikishi? You put a cowboy hat on him and put him in a ring and he thinks he's god of the quarterbacks...he sucks! He's as perfect as Nathan Jones isn't accident-prone. His best character yet, but BAD wrestler always. I'm just waiting for this one to fail and I'm just going to laugh because of their attempt to polish a turd into a main-event.

Most of my personal thoughts were reflected in the statements by CyNick and Kane Knight. So I'd just like to add that I sent links to that (bogus?) e-mail address that had links to some of the appreciation threads in the past for workers such as Chris Jericho, Owen Hart, Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton, and the thread started after word of Kurt Angle's recent surgery hit the Net. In essence, I was hoping to demonstrate that we, as fans, appreciate talent.
I'm sorry Mr. Bradshaw's feelings were hurt by "our" disapproval of his push. But if he didn't want to have to deal with the fan's negative reaciotn s he should either A) not be involved in a business where he's seen by thousands upon thousands of people every time he he goes to work or B) not suck.

This is the email I sent to Bradshaw@wwe.com I tried my best to not come off a pissed off net fan. If I was just to bash him and cuss him out, he would just call he a homosexual net nerd that he picked on in high school after all.
But do you guys think I sent him a decent letter though?
My name is Chris and I am from Texas. I just want to start off by saying that I personally have always enjoyed your matches and backstage segments. As part of the Acolytes, you kicked alot ass and were part of the toughest team in recent years. As part of APA you were still a kick ass team but also showed how funny and charasmatic you could be with several hilarious backstage segments. And as JBL you reinvented yourself and made a very entertaining character. For the last few years I have always said that I enjoyed your work. Even though I am an "internet fan" by the way.
However your comments were very innapropriate to say the least. I understand that you do get dissed alot by fans on the net, but when you're in a business that requires you to perform for millions of people, you should expect to get criticized. And the fact that you're now in the main event scene is even more reason to expect criticism especially. Internet fans mostly enjoy a different style of matches than you perform. Internet fans (myself included) enjoy the technical style of a Benoit, Angle, Hart, Jericho and others like them. However that is obviously not the type of wrestler that you are. There is nothing wrong with that, but if you're going to read the internet to see what people think of you, you shouldn't take it seriously because you're a different type of wrestler than what the majority of the internet community prefers. The fact that you're in the WWE and have been for awhile speaks for itself.
But as far as what you actually said, you came off pretty much like an asshole, and I think that you're aware of that. You also made yourself sound like an idiot as well though. You're the guy who beat me up and made me do your homework? Are you actually proud to be that type of person? I realize you were probably exaggerating, but still that is a very immature statement to make. And resorting to insulting our sexuality? I used to make immature statements like that when I was in HIGH SCHOOL! Seriously, someone who is obviously as smart as you should have been able to put togther a better, and more constructive way of defending yourself than resorting to name calling basically. You have every right to respond to people dissing you, but you only made yourself look worse. If you believe that what you said was the right thing to say, then I have lost alot of respect for you. I would say that an apology is in order, but you're probably too stubborn for that form what I have read in your previous commentaries.
After reading your comments I wanted to let you know that you have lost a fan. I don't know if you even care about that or not, but I am telling you anyway. I will not be buying the upcoming PPV. I have bought every single PPV for the last three years, but I will not be buying this one. I believe you're capable of being a top guy in the WWE, but you were brought to the main event too soon it seems. From what I've read on the Internet, leading up until WMXX ratings, house show attendance numbers, and buyrates were very high for the Smackdown brand. Since you have become one of the main focuses of SD! however, that is obviously not the case. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and wait to see how people respond to your match at the PPV before I make a final judgment of whether or not you are capable of being a good main eventer in the WWE. Good luck to you, even though I won't be watching.

BTW, I still do like Bradshaw's character currently.
I'd think this was a total work if not for the same shit being spewed from this poster child for birth control as before, you know, when he was supposed to be a face.
The problem is, while the character is great, as CyNick said, it's still Bradshaw. The guy may be in the greatest wrestling shape of his life, but that's not saying much. And despite being a financial analyst (huhuhuhuh...I said...Anal...), he doesn't seem to be able to break things down.
We're all jealous of his success and talent, but we're not jealous of REAL talent (Say, kurt Angle)?

I would be mad too if everyone decided I was going to fail without even giving me a chance. Freedom of speech goes both ways. I don't understand why everyone makes a big deal when wrestlers try to defend themselves.
BTW: You all love Chris Jericho and yet you all forgot that he lashed out at the Internet community too in the summer of 2002 when you all said his match at King of the Ring with RVD sucked. Yet I never see any hate for him.
Anyway, perhaps the WWE is finally seeing that the Internet is a very large part of their audience. And I think Bradshaw's comments was good heel work yet again. That was so amazingly over the top that it may be Bradshaw's best "mic" work in years, regardless of whether or not he meant it to be. Anything that gets people talking, or even a little emotional about a character, is a good thing no matter what.
It's just like the Flair interview from a few weeks ago when he was saying he doesn't like fans using wrestler's lingo. Every time we're targeted, it makes most net fans furious, while it just makes me laugh because I know it is a work and just an attempt to get heat from the Internet fans since net fans are too intelligent to hate wrestlers when they are on TV, so the wrestlers have to hit below the belt on the web to get heat from the Smarks and it works like a charm. Guys like Flair and Bradshaw are heels. It's what they do!

I didnt forget that incident. But I always thought that Chris Jericho is one of the most talented wrestler ever and i couldnt find any reason to hate him at all. And oh yes, you say that the heels are criticising the internet fans to generate heat. I do not disagree, but what are the chances of them doing so?
All i can say is that the internet has been spoiling wwe's plans , like providing spoilers all the time, hence spoiling the fun. That's why they are criticising us. IMO though.

Firstly, Bradshaw has the right to free speech. He and the rest of the WWE should know that we do to. Try not blaming us when everything goes wrong and we might have a common ground.
As for Jericho, I said it before and I'll repeat it for you. Jericho was an ass for saying what he did especially when it had absolutely zero foundation. He complained about people moaning about his match on the Torch site and when I checked that site, it didn't have one single negative comment. In fact, just about everyone voted it Match of the Night. Jericho later said he tried to work the net but I'll believe that when I see blue snow fall from the sky. He should remember who made him too (and I think he does really).
As for the Flair comments, when he goes up to Mick Foley after Mania and shakes his hand thanking him for the oppotunity to work with him and then 2 weeks later says what he did about him, the guy comes off like a dick. I still love Flair but he is a dickhead and people have known it for 20 years.

So then why did he do this stuff when he was supposed to be a fae, too?
Oh wait, that would totally blow a hole in the argument that it's always a work. Why would you want to recognise something like that. That would require using critical thinking and facts to come up with a solid argument.
Nobody forgot about Chris Jericho's little rant. However, people don't care, because Jericho's at least talented in the ring.
Bradhsaw isn't.
Freedom of speech is a two way street.. However, you're a moron if you think that freedom of speech should in any way, shape, or form protect Bradshaw from backlash. It's called freedom of speech because people are now free to respond.
I've also got some news for you: Bradshaw is not a new wrestler. It's socking, yes, but some of us "smarts" have ACTUALLY seen him wrestle and are not pre-judging him, but judging his actual work. He's only been around for a couple of decades, so I could see where you were confused there.
Finally, Heel work isn't supposed to make you turn off the TV. It's supposed to rile you up so you'll watch the guy, not so you'll say "Fu</>ck this shit" and turn off the TV.
Bradshaw's reminding us once again that, no matter what role he plays, he's still Bradshaw. He's turned off people who were interested in his gimmick despite his consitently shitty work in-ring.
If this is a work, it's as weak as his normal work. I know the thought of Bradshaw in the main event will keep me from ordering the PPV...

I understand Bradshaw has the right of freedom of speech, but he made himself look like an even bigger idiot by making idiotic comments in his column. Resorting to name calling and questioning someone's sexuality is something teenagers are prone to do. Someone who is a well respected financial analyst should be able to say something more intelligent and constructive than, "I shoved you in your locker and made you do my homework in high school!" Get what I'm saying lone drinker?
Coming from someone who is known for threatening to arse rape wrestlers in the showers, that was the quite the comment.

The Lone Drinker
05-15-2004, 10:24 AM
So then why did he do this stuff when he was supposed to be a fae, too?
He insulted Smarks twice I believe in the last couple of years. And I believe he was hurt at the time as well. He has not done so since until he became top heel. But rather what he said was kayfabe or not, I guess we will never really know. I believe it was a mix of both. I mean, you gotta admit the whole "Bully" stuff sounds like something a bad guy wrestler would say to the fans while in character. But the way I see it is that what Flair said a few weeks ago was right. We're wrestling fans, why should we know or care? Why over analyze it? Who are we to try to distinguish the man from the character? I say just enjoy the show.
Freedom of speech is a two way street.. However, you're a moron if you think that freedom of speech should in any way, shape, or form protect Bradshaw from backlash. It's called freedom of speech because people are now free to respond.
I never said that. I am just saying that you guys sit there and bash Bradshaw then act shocked whenever he insults you back and you sit there and say junk like "We're the fans! We're allowed to say whatever we want!" I mean that's like assuming kids can do whatever they want because they are just little kids. You sit there and gave Bradshaw crap, and he gave you some back. And most of us are adults I believe so we should be able to take it like men.
The "smart marks" can deal out the criticism, but if any is returned.....they whine like the little cry babies. The hypocrisy is delicious.
Bradshaw is entitled to his opinion...learn to receive what you dish out.
I've also got some news for you: Bradshaw is not a new wrestler. It's socking, yes, but some of us "smarts" have ACTUALLY seen him wrestle and are not pre-judging him, but judging his actual work. He's only been around for a couple of decades, so I could see where you were confused there.
You're making it sound like I am a new wrestling fan who just started watching wrestling. And I would have literally just had to start watching wrestling if I didn't know who Bradshaw was before he got this push. You don't even know me or anything about me, so why make assumptions about me? I am 21-years old and have been watching the WW "E" since 1988. Where did I imply I was new to wrestling? Just bcause I am new to this board does not mean I am new to pro wrestling or Internet wrestling message boards. I knew who Bradshaw was before he became a rip-off of the Million Dollar Man.
As far as Bradshaw's wrestling skill goes, beauty is within the eye of the beholder. Some of us like brawlers such as Bradshaw, The Undertaker, Mick Foley, Steve Austin, etc, etc. Not everyone is down with mat wrestling. I enjoy Bradshaw's ring work. I think for a bigger guy, he moves very well and his new character entertains me every week.
To me, Guerrero's last match, and Bradshaw's last match on Smackdown, I was more entertained with Bradshaw. Guerrero matches I am not entertained by and I am not trying to say he has never entertained me, but, more so on a mid card level. I am adding all the variables in what provide an entertaining match, to me anyways. So as an overall wrestler, Bradshaw is one of the best on Smackdown. Ring Psych is more important than gymnastics in my opinion, when it comes to Sports Entertainment.
Everyone on the net is always saying how the WWE needs to build new superstars, the WWE did just that and now you fellas are saying....."Yeah, build new superstars, but NOT Bradshaw......I can understand his hate for the internet, it's the same type of shit that I refuse to read. All the Smarks just seem to know it all, yet they can't offer one halfway decent suggestion. They have no clue what they want, but they do know what they don't want. No Bradshaw and no Triple H... I'm sure on that alone, the companies problems could be solved.....yeah, that's sarcasm.

Sure it's absolutely frustrating. But you're entertaining millions of people everywhere, critism will come, and if you can't bring it, then the critism is going to be bad. JBL had no business doing this to internet fans.
Yeah, we all know he's a heel. But this column was OBVIOUSLY not kayfabe. The man is insecure. If he can't handle the critism of the main event scene, then he should step down and leave it to guys who can.

YOU WROTE: I am in the best wrestling shape I have been in in years. If we go a half an hour, I will be ready. For those of you fat, out-of-shape Internet wannabes who have never done anything more athletic than play checkers, kiss my ass for doubting me, and realize why you hate me. I was the guy in school who made you do my homework and locked you in your locker.
<font color=white>RESPONSE: Well let me ask you this..........why do us ""fat out-of-shape" Internet wannabes (who have never done anything more than play checkers) LOVE and RESPECT guys like Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, and Bret Hart? Perhaps this is due to the fact that they have a little thing called TALENT. Perhaps this is due to the fact that they don't go around talking sh</>it to internet fans.
Why? Because - they are secure about themselves. You were the guy that locked me in my locker eh? Well - Vince was the guy that made you Taker's B</>ITCH, and put you in a JOBBER tag team! Oh and by the way, did guys like BART GUNN stuff you in YOUR locker? :-D </font> If not, then I'm glad you've actually won a FEW matches in your lifetime. Looks like you may have actually DESERVED to be a main-eventer in highschool! :y: </font>
YOU WROTE: JBL will deliver Sunday and you can “report” whatever you want, but you will also realize how little influence you have, except to your little nerd friends. How long has it been since you guys that spend all your time reporting on us have been with a woman other than your mother? After all, when I see you in airports hanging out, you are always with guys. You guys don’t have a questionable sexual orientation, do you? Of course, it is 2004, I don’t judge.
<font color=white>RESPONSE: I'm pretty sure that the women LOVE you. After all, all of that stereoid use must REALLY make you great in the sack eh? Did Bob Holly lash out at the internet for saying how much he sucks and shouldn't be main eventing?
Kane Knight
05-15-2004, 09:29 PM
I never said that. I am just saying that you guys sit there and bash Bradshaw then act shocked whenever he insults you back and you sit there and say junk like "We're the fans! We're allowed to say whatever we want!" I mean that's like assuming kids can do whatever they want because they are just little kids. You sit there and gave Bradshaw crap, and he gave you some back. And most of us are adults I believe so we should be able to take it like men.
Actually, people are saying he's a moron for saying this shit. First, I have the right to free speech, but if I go into Harlem, and scream "I hate nig</>gers!" The first ammendment will NOT protect me from any wrath I might incur. Second, as a sales rep, it's not a good idea to make your fan base even LESS motivated.
People are lashing right back, not saying "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT!!!!!!!!!!" Please try to understand the difference.
Bradshaw is entitled to his opinion...learn to receive what you dish out.
Damn, you're delusional. Yes, he drove everyone in this thread to suicide, because we couldn't take the heat.
You're making it sound like I am a new wrestling fan who just started watching wrestling. And I would have literally just had to start watching wrestling if I didn't know who Bradshaw was before he got this push.
Your defense of Bradshaw was that we were prejudging him. I responded in a condescending tone because you should have seen his body of work unless you only started watching wrestling about a month or so ago.
You don't even know me or anything about me, so why make assumptions about me?
Actually, I didn't make assumptions about you. I responded in flavor appropriate to a moronic statement about prejudice. I'm sorry you got so offended over these assumptions I made, but most of them come from your own mind.
I am getting a pretty good picture of you right now, though, and the word "moron" comes up every time I read your posts.
I am 21-years old and have been watching the WW "E" since 1988
OH WOW! THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!
Where did I imply I was new to wrestling? Just bcause I am new to this board does not mean I am new to pro wrestling or Internet wrestling message boards. I knew who Bradshaw was before he became a rip-off of the Million Dollar Man.
And you've demonstrated it so well up until this point.
Where did I imply that you were new to pro wrestling? I could have been implying that you were an idiot. Or I could have been simply been using the sarcasm you're so fond of. But by all means, keep ranting.
He moves like a pregnant cow and has shit for wrestling ability. He's nothing compared to Taker (Except now adays, when Taker can't wrestle even remotely close to quality), and Foley, and it's a mad weak comparison, especially given how many "Smarks" are fans of the latter.
 So basically, you're lashing out because your minority opinion is being shit on.
Again, big news for you! Bradshaw is not a "new" superstar. You claim to be a longtime wrestling fan, but you don't seem to be able to reflect it when you make statements like this. I must have just said that you were a wrestling n00b! OH NO!
You know what? It's not my duty to offer a half-decent suggestion. Even if the WWE took such suggestions, the WWE is the entertainer, not me. If they want to give me a salary, then we'll talk. Wrestling's not doing so hot right now, and everyone wants to blame the smarks for complaining, but we're on the other end of the formula. As I've said before, entertainment is designed to pander to us, not vice versa. The "smarks" know exactly what they want...They want entertainment.
And you sir, are a total moron.

Kane Knight, okay.....well first off....I am going to ignore the insults you made. Because clearly you are trying to provoke me into a flaming war which you will no doubt be the face since you are a semi-loved veteran around these parts, and after a few pages, people who have not even read this whole thread will come in and get the impression I am some cocky stupid newbie trying to "take things over" or some nonsense. Next thing you know.....I am being ganged up on by you and your buddies and when you all realize I don't back down, I will just get the ban from one of your friends who happens to be a Mod. And I realize insulting me is just an attempt to get off the subject of hand since you know you are incorrect so you just get want to change the subject and get into a flame war with me. That's why you called me some new fan to wrestling. Because you knew I'd come in and correct you and next thing you know, we are talking more about me when we should be talking about Bradshaw. With that being said, let's get back to the main topic.
Actually, people are saying he's a moron for saying this shit. First, I have the right to free speech, but if I go into Harlem, and scream "I hate nig</>gers!" The first ammendment will NOT protect me from any wrath I might incur.
Actually, you could press charges against the people who hurt you.
Second, as a sales rep, it's not a good idea to make your fan base even LESS motivated.
But what if this fan base you were insulting were just a small group of teenaged punks who hung outside your store and never bought anything? And just insulted your customers and made fun of them and called them "marks" and scared most of them away. And insulted you and your coworkers? Are you telling me you would not tell them to piss off? And what if when you do that, their all like "Uh, you can't insult us! We're customers too!" Would you not roll your eyes at them?
Damn, you're delusional. Yes, he drove everyone in this thread to suicide, because we couldn't take the heat.
Well, I wouldn't go THAT far. But he sure did tick off a lot of people just by writing a few words on the screen.
Heck man....many other posters have said the same thing about Smarks and no one gave a shit. But when BRADSHAW says just a few comments about Smarks, you go nuts. Know why? Because you DO care what he thinks...
Your defense of Bradshaw was that we were prejudging him. I responded in a condescending tone because you should have seen his body of work unless you only started watching wrestling about a month or so ago.
Well, it seems to me that Bradshaw has been busting his ass to make this match tonight look good, so he may be trying extra hard tonight... so who knows you may be in for a shocker.
Again, big news for you! Bradshaw is not a "new" superstar. You claim to be a longtime wrestling fan, but you don't seem to be able to reflect it when you make statements like this. I must have just said that you were a wrestling n00b! OH NO!
Benoit and Eddie are not new superstars either and they are being pushed. They are like the same age as Bradshaw.
When I say "new superstars", I don't mean "young superstars".
Bradshaw, Eddie, and Benoit were mid-carding jobbers for most of their careers. Now they are being pushed.
And this is really the first time these three guys have been pushed into the main event scene without their hype being taken away from guys like Stone Cold, Hogan, The Rock, etc, etc.....so yes, they are "new" to the main event scene.

Lone Drinker, you can huff and puff about you're right to your opinion and Bradhsaw's right to criticize those who criticize him, but the fact of the matter is Judgment Day didn't sell out ( I live in L.A.; it was announced tickets were available-front row included-up until 3 or 4 this afternoon. watching the PPV, its obvious there are tons of empty seats) and the projections for the buy rates have been horrible. Couple this with the fact that Smackdown's ratings have been in the toilet and you start to get the picture that the general wrestling audience has no interest in JBL as a main eventer.
His character is great, but he has no real talent in the ring. As a brawler, he's subpar. There are at least six guys on the Smackdown roster with a similar style that are flat out more talented.
Oh yeah...and this "new superstar" that the WWE is trying to create was born on November 29, 1967. He's going on 42. He's had plenty of time to justify this push and it never happened. The WWE slapped a suit on a worker no one cared about in the first place, had him use as many racial slurs as possible ( and still only generated miniaml heat), and now you (and he) are surprised because we as fans still don't give a f</>uck?
Please....you have the right to an opinion but don't get surprised when it gets shot down by the rest of us.

Well, Kane Knight, you still have not responded to my comments from yesterday. Because you know I am right. So you are just going to sit there and keep repeating yourself and call me all these names and encourage others to do the same.
And since you want to get off the topic of hand in regards of Bradshaw, you are doing anything and everything to try and turn this whole topic about me. I'm flattered really. But there are other forums on here where we can discuss our personals lives. But this forum and thread is about wrestling.
Really, if the shoe was on the other foot and I was insulting you and calling you all these names, I would have been banned by now. I think what you are trying to do is get me to insult you back so I will get banned and you won't have someone challenge you in future wrestling debates. You just want everyone to shut up and bow down to you and not dare challenge you huh? Well, I am afraid it is going to take a little more effort then that to get rid of me.
PureHatred - Okay, well first of all.....I don't know why everyone thinks that in order to be a new main event superstar, you have to be young.
I know how old Bradshaw is and he is new to the main event scene. It's like what I was saying in my last couple of posts.........Eddie and Beniot are around the same age as Bradshaw and they are just now being pushed too.
I realize all three of those guys have been around for a while, but they ARE "new" to the main event scene, so yes they are "new superstars" as far as the main event goes.
So let me get this straight: You fellas want NEW main eventers....but not guys like Bradshaw or Triple H......BUT WAIT................these new main eventers have to be YOUNG GUYS in their 20's? Guys who have 0 experience in wrestling, are not over with the crowd and have probably never even had an I.C. title run?
See....you fellas don't know what the hell you want.....

You, the new guy, have very few posts, and your reps are in the minus.
Applying logic to this, would suggest that your posts are either stupid, ignorant, or you can't let go and would be out of your depth in a car park puddle.

Lone Drinker, you stupid piece of shit. Read my post again. I never said Bradshaw's age was the problem. What I was pointing out was that he's had a long career and at no time has he shown enough talent to merit a main event push.
Now you can sit there and criticize the so-called internet smarks all you want, but they are a pretty good reflection of the tastes of the fan. Before Eddie and Benoit got their pig pushes, I can recall thread after thread on just about every site I visited saying how much they wanted to see these two men in the main event scene. Eddie and Benoit as champs is the payoff for many fans who have followed these two talented workers throughout their career.
At no time in the last, say, 8 years have I seen a single thread where anyone has wondered: "Why isn't the WWE pushing Bradshaw?" At no time have I seen a discussion where someone tried to show how he's underappreciated. It's not as if the roar of the crowd every time Bradshaw came out was deafening. And in that time, plenty of pure brawlers have headlined the WWE. So it's not just his ring style; it's that no ne cares.
As a member of a tag team, he was entertaining as comic relief. But when he got a singles push as the hardcore champion with those horns on the belt: no one cared. He was a face and people were pissed off, he was getting X-Pac(lone drinker) heat. Now as a heel he is again met with more apathy than anything. That sound you hear every Thursday is the channel being changed when Bradshaw shows up on TV. The ratings are way down. The buy rate is going to suck. They couldn't sell out the arena for a PPV he headined. Obviously, its more than the smarks you hate so much that have no interest in Bradshaw.
Yes, we as fans do like new main eventers. But we'd also like them to have talent. If Christian all of a sudden got a two month push into main eventing SummerSlam, you'd probably hear zero complaints. Hell, if they'd run the same exact angle with Charlie Haas, I think the response would've been tremendous. Because both of those men would be getting a push based on their work. Bradshaw is getting his out of some twisted sense of loyalty; a reward for being with the company for so long.
Mainstream fans don't give a f</>uck about Bradshaw. Internet fans don't give a f</>uck about Bradhsaw. You are certainly entitled to you opinion- even if you're the only person who believes it-but when you blame the whole world for disagreeing with you you come off as a paranoid ass</>hole who can't just accept when he's wrong.

PureHatred - Bradshaw was over in his A.P.A. days. He was more over then Shawn Michaels during the days of the Rockers. So you can't blame the WWE for trying.
Then again, Shawn Michaels was a little guy and a high-flying wrestler. Not a brawler and your kind hates brawlers with a passion.....I bet if Bradshaw was a little guy and he wrestled the style you like, you'd have no beef with him.
I think the reason why compter nerds hate big men so much is because they remind them of the bullies who kick their asses at school or did kick their asses at school. And they cream their pants for little guys because the little guys are tough guys and are the type of men they wish they could be.
And it's even more odd how all the wrestlers they love are pretty boys and are also the same guys who the girls love too like HBK and Y2J. Then again in the words of Bradshaw, it is 2004 and I don't judge........

So until you do respond to my post about Bradshaw, I will walk away from this thread. You and your prags can keep telling you that you won over and over again if you wish, but you and I know the real results don't we? ;)
As for the Flair comments, when he goes up to Mick Foley after Mania and shakes his hand thanking him for the oppotunity to work with him and then 2 weeks later says what he did about him, the guy comes off like a dick.
I've missed this one - what did Flair say about Foley?
As for Blackjack Bigot, I've long since stop caring about his nonsense. I've never seen a match of his that I've enjoyed (Eddie might have gotten a good match out of him, but like I was going to go out of my way to watch that PPV), I've never read anything of his on his little column that I've particularly agreed with him for and as for not having done anything more athletic than checkers - pah, when I was in school me and my friends used to have some pretty wild games of Monopoly.
On the plus side, if he keeps doing the Ted DiBiase "I'll give you $500 for doing something" shtick, we might find the next Rob Van Dam, so I don't entirely dissaprove. Just don't let him wrestle.

Lone Drinker, are you seriously resorting to the same kind of tactics that Bradshaw used? You're going to bust out the gay jokes and computer nerd comments? What are you, 12?
You're on a computer you gimp. You must post on these message boards in between driving your corvette, ropin' steer, and huntin' injuns. "YEE-HAH! I'M A MANLY MAN. I ONLY LIKE ME RASSLERS THAT DURN USE THEIR FISTICUFFS AND SIMULATE PRISON RAPE IN THE SHOWERS!!"
Once again, brawlers as a whole don't get criticized. Just brawlers like Bradshaw with a low workrate who don't sell much. Jesus Christ, Mick Foley is a god to most wrestling fans and he does maybe 6 real moves in a match.
And during their recent runs, at what point was Bradshaw over in the APA? I must have missed those deafening Bradshaw chants at Wrestlemania.. ..the APA was over around 2000/2001. They tried to give Bradshaw a singles push. It failed miserably. The WWE is trying again. it's failing again.
You get all bent out of shape but you're still missing the point. It's not just Internet fans who don't like Bradshaw. The ratings, the buy rates, and the attendance all show that no one (mainstream & smart, alike)is interested in his main event push.
You can go off and insinuate how we all are fags and queers because we like "little guys" and you can martyr yourself for speaking yor mind and blame the fickle internet for not giving JBL a chance but the fact remains that at no previous time during his time in the WWE has Bradshaw done anything which makes the fans want to see him in the main event.
Not when he was Justin 'Hawk'Bradshaw. Not as a part of the Blackjacks. Not as an Acolyte. Not in the APA. Not as the hardcore Texan. Not as JBL. He's a midcarder. Period.
And maybe you should get an objective party to read this thread to you. No one is taking Kane Knight's side because you're a "n00b" or he's a "face" (god, join us in the real world, huh?), they are disagreeing with you because they don't like Bradshaw and because you come off as an arrogant, overly-sensitive prick.

Lone Drinker, you need to respond to the fact that ratings have been going downhill since WWE gave Bradshaw his main event push, the fact that Bradshaw is known for being an asshole backstage and someone who likes to pick on newer guys in the lockerroom, the fact that it took nearly up until the day of the PPV to sell out the event ( in an area of the country where Eddie Guerrero is extremely over), and the fact that WWE officials are even expecting a low buyrate for the PPV.
It's not just us internet fans that aren't showing faith in Bradshaw, there have been numerous reports of Bradshaw's push being criticized by WWE management, and even the wrestlers themselves.

Eddie and Beniot are around the same age as Bradshaw and they are just now being pushed too.
I guess Benoit's WCW title win a few years ago doesn't count as a "push" or is "main event".
But this IS 2004........

And it's even more odd how all the wrestlers they love are pretty boys and are also the same guys who the girls love too like HBK and Y2J.
HBK and Y2J? Oh.......... you mean those guys with t-al-e-n-t! And who can use a mic? And are more personable? And who get more pops or heat (wether face or heel) and..........
Need I go on?

If you are so smart, then why don't you respond already?
For the same reason I don't keep punching someone after they've been knocked out.
No point. Your argument's total shit, and you're the only one that seems to not get it. You're entitled to your opinion and all, but that's about the only thing that hasn't been ripped to shreds by someone thus far.
But hey, why let that stop you? Keep declaring yourself a winner. Big Bad Kane Knight is just a bully, you're a genius and master debater, and Bradshaw's the Savior of Smackdown. Everything else and anyone who tells you different is part of a TPWW-wide conspiracy of faces versus n00bs.

He forget, Benoit (The guy all the girls get wet over), Kurt Angle (Oh, he's soooo dreamy  ) and so on.
But he's good at bullshit arguments without any substance and selective ignorance.
not to mention that Jeff's a "Pretty boy," all the girls love him, and the internet "Smarks" hate him.
but why let that get in the way of implying that us smarks r fagz?
