Based on how lacklustre the tag division is they'd be the most over team in the business. If they were used as stepping stone to get a full time team over then giving them a brief run with the belts would be a solid idea.

They can still hang with anyone else in the division as well.

EASILY..... Road Dogg is clean and can do his share in the ring, and Gunn has always been in great shape.... I'd rather see them wrestle for 4 minutes a night over any tag team in the division currently....

I would love to see it. They definitely have the ability to put a heel team over and a New Age Outlaws going for the titles at a PPV might get some extra buys.

Sure they can. Bringing back legends like Goldust and even Mr. Perfect back in the day tends to end with them being jobbers since there's just no chance for them to move up and get on top.
It's much easier for a tag team to be on top of their division though. NAO could easily be a legit tag team for more purpose than to just put others over.

Not to mention the promos. Road Dogg is fucking great on the mic.

Could the best tag team ever who are still in good shape and can still go almost as well as they used to and have more charisma than the rest of the division put together get one more run? I'd have to say yes.

Sadly, yes but I do not want to see it happen. Just makes me wish they were young again.

Billy still wrestles as good as he did back in '99.
Road Dogg is still shit in the ring, just as he was back in '99.
So, not much has changed, meaning they could still get a run. They'd bring some credibility to the tag team scene.

You really can't believe Billy is still the guy he was in 99...... Road Dogg was tripping over his words. Yes they will bring credibility but you can't be serious with your first 2 lines.

Well, I am.
I mean, everyone loses a step or two, but Billy can still go.
Road Dogg? He was shit in the ring back in '99 and he's still shit now.

Billy was never good in the ring really.

They have catch phrases and nostalgia. That's more than enough.

Well, it is good enough for Dwayne.

I was always a mark for Billy Gunn for some reason. I'd be glad to see him and Road Dogg back as on-air characters and occasional wrestlers. Would love to see them put some heel teams over and get some faces over by working with them. There's actually history between Road Dogg and R-Truth, which would make for some interesting (and potentially kayfabe awkward) interactions.
I'm not sure what I'd rather see next week -- The New Age Outlaws beat Rhodes Scholars and assert themselves as contenders for Team Hell No's WWE Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania or Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow beat the babyfaces and move forward as challengers. Maybe have the heels win, Kane & Bryan save the faces from a beat-down and then either go with a multi-team match at Mania (also featuring Kofi Kingston & R-Truth) or having The New Age Outlaws participate in the pre-show match (which should get everyone pumped).

Turns out Lil' Jimmy was actually Road Dogg in R-Truths mind and he just starts freaking out now when other people can see him.

That would actually be quite entertaining.
I would personally love to see it. They're one of the best teams in WWE history and they can still go. I mark out every time I hear the music. And if it led to a big pay-off match that put over a younger team, I'd be even more all for it. But for that to work, they should really be heels.
