Anyone grabbing it? Don't think any of the old AoE2 crowd that i used to play with really posts here anymore, but the game was popular enough that I'm sure others got into it as well.

I don't know if you really need to wait for a sale... it's coming out for $20, pritty cheap. $18 if you pre-purchase on Steam

My buddy and I still occasionally play Age of Empires II or Galactic Battlegrounds, those are the only PC games that we still play. I never did enter the "modern" era of PC gaming.

Judging from the half-dozen or so posts I've seen by you, that makes perfect sense to me.

I'm going to get it, I'm glad they upped the population cap - that was pretty much the only thing that annoyed me about AOE2 the first go around.

Gotta say I'm relatively unimpressed. I thought they would've done a little more with the graphics and what-have-you. I mean, it's basically "as-advertised", but the game still feels really dated.

Will have to play more before I determine if it's something I wanna sink any amount of time into. The improved multiplayer options are nice, but that requires people to play with, and so far a lot of the people who were excited about this like myself are kinda jaded on it as well. Oh well, a few hours of nostalgic fun isn't the worst way to spend $20

Heard this doesn't have LAN support, kind of turned me off of wanting since all my real life friends wanted to have a reason to do LAN stuff again.
