So 3MB Main Evented. Fandango vs Jericho is actually happening. Looks like Miz/Barrett for Mania. Not sure what I think about all this but interesting.

I like how Miz failed to beat Cesaro for the US Title for months, so then instead he was like "Whatever, I'll just go fight Barrett for the IC Title".... and then in the buildup to his match with Barrett he beats Cesaro.

I suppose the Rhodes Scholars/Bella Twins v. Tensai/Brodus/Cameron/Naomi rumor was true as well.

I can't believe a lot of these rumours are shaping up to be true. Jericho vs. Fandango is actually really fine for a "fun" feud. They might as well have put the IC Title on Jericho on RAW and had their match be for some sort of championship, though. But since they didn't do that, they might as well have put the US Title on The Miz here and do Barrett vs. The Miz for both titles.

lol. It really is the most ridiculous of booking.

And then of course, when Cesaro needs to look good for a build up after WrestleMania, they'll use The Miz.

Also, can't believe Jericho vs Fandango really appears to be happening at WrestleMania.

Johnny Curtis... is about to face Chris Jericho... at WRESTLE FUCKING MANIA.

Holy shit. I'm so happy.

Kinda wish that Barrett/Miz/Jericho triple threat from Raw had happened at Wrestlemania. That would have been a great lower-card IC title match, and also a nice bit of variety from what so far looks like singles matches and a tag match.

I don't know why I posted that in the Smackdown Spoilers thread, but it's done now.

I see what you're saying...

But WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE FANDANGO!?!?!?

Fandango / Rock would have been the Wrestlemania main event. "It doesnt matter what your name is!" and so on.

So an American actually beat Cesaro....What will he say now?

Mr. Nerfect
03-21-2013, 06:23 AM
If Fandango steals the show at WrestleMania, the WWE should re-write all their post-Mania RAW plans to lead to Fandango going over The Rock after that "It doesn't matter what your name is!" clash takes place.

I am really pumped about the idea of Jericho vs. Fandango now, actually. Curtis could introduce some dark elements into his persona, and cut backstage promos where he shows Jericho being voted off on Dancing with the Stars and mock him for all his failed attempts to break into the mainstream. He can attack Jericho after all of Jericho's matches, dressed in complete black, before getting to the stage and removing dark clothes to reveal his flamboyant garb and he dances off. Fandango can tell Jericho that he is never going to win another championship in the WWE until he gets his name right.

Fandango could be as good as heel Goldust originally was.

He says no American can beat him for the US title. He's lost to Americans in non-title matches

Mr. Nerfect

Cesaro is a heel -- he doesn't need to acknowledge the truth. Really want to see Cesaro vs. Jericho for the US Title sometime in the future. That would be an amazing match.

Like I said in the official Fandango thread, his beat down of Y2J was great, and his leg drop was a thing of pure beauty.

03-22-2013, 07:17 PM
Actually what I said in that other thread wasn't really like that at all, except for my praising of his top rope leg drop.

Just just saw that match and its pretty much a huge waste to have been done.

Doesn't really help the Miz since he's moved on and won't get a US title shot at Mania while Cesaro just keeps loosing non-title matches to Americans. When an American finally beats Ceasro for the title, it won't feel special compared to how it was being implied early on.

CSL is right as always, but I don't like how long it's been since someone has talked about Johnny Curtis.

I would cream my pants if the WWE had the Jericho and Fandango rivalry get so intense that Jericho eventually challenges Fandango to the ultimate "dance-off" in professional wrestling; a contest of endurance and skill like no other. Chris Jericho challenges Fandango to an Iron Man Match on Main Event.

Yes, that seems unlikely, but have a think about it:

* Chris Jericho is still one of the best fucking wrestlers in the universe. If he wants to wrestle for an hour to make a guy look legendary overnight, he will do so and should be allowed to do so.

* Johnny Curtis can wrestle, we all know that, but do we all know that he can wrestle. After he works an Iron Man Match, every single person in the world will have the view that Fandango is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Even if he loses the match two falls to none or something, it still gives Fandango a platform into the main event.

* So many guys get made because a top star decides to put them over. Hey it's a recipe that works. But a star being made because he has to go out there and do what very few in the business have done is different, and it might help Johnny Curtis get over in the immediate, as well as showing that he has the skills to be a commodity in the long run.

* For a guy getting such a seemingly random rush to the top (although in reality it has probably been planned for a long time due to Johnny Curtis' general awesomeness), working an Iron Man Match could be seen as Curtis paying his dues on a public stage. No one could say that Curtis doesn't "belong" if he knocks it out of the park with such an opportunity.

* It'll be shocking when Fandango goes toe-to-toe with Chris Jericho and holds his own. It would be shocking if he defeats Jericho. It would be shocking if he defeats Jericho cleanly. But after that there are no shocks left. Except for Fandango showing that he had even more skill than most of us suspected. He has the ultimate skill. He has the skill to rival your Bret Hart's, Shawn Michaels's, Triple H's and The Rock's.

I was half-joking when I suggested Jericho vs. Fandango in an Iron Man Match, because I've wanted to see two guys get that opportunity with Main Event being a show that seems to be based more around one match -- but I think I just talked myself into it.

I was amused during the opening Miz TV segment - I was like "Wait, Randy Orton is the voice of reason?", then Miz asked the same thing.

For the past few weeks, Orton has been acting differently. I'm interested to see if it's actually leading to something, or if the writers just don't care about consistency.

Mr. Nerfect
03-25-2013, 04:22 AM
Orton holding the team together seems like a foreshadowing. It is almost so predictable that I almost don't think a turn will happen, though. It really wouldn't surprise me if Orton, Sheamus & Big Show win and move on to happier times.

I actually had no clue Fandango was that agile in the ring. Johnny Curtis is even better than I thought Johnny Curtis was.
