Are there any alternatives to this? I want to rip my BluRays but every program seems to need this to be able to do it and I'm looking at £55 for a two year license since the trial version won't work and there aren't any 'free' versions available that work either.

IF you're just looking to rip, I'm pretty sure DVDFab will work.

Don't think they can do BD to BD or the like. I've been using a pirated version (so I know "free" exists), but I'm gonna buy it one of these days.

Tried using DVDFab before, it either refused to read the discs at all or asked for AnyDVD. Tried a whole bunch of different rippers and they all did the same thing, ended up buying AnyDVD last night since it was on sale. All the torrent versions I got hold of were useless within a few hours of being uploaded, maybe just bad uploads though.
