I actually think Hogan was pretty fair in his assessment of the WWE here (it was still Hogan, but he wasn't putting down everyone else compared to him). Turning Rock heel isn't a bad idea, doing the whole "I'm a bigger star that the WWE" like how he was in 2003. This way he would work less, and work the fact that he was Hollywood Obligations into the storyline. I don't know if WrestleMania would be the right place to do it, but how would you feel about turning Rock heel?

I've been clamoring for Hollywood Rock ever since he came back. I'd love to see him eventually put over an upcoming babyface, but it'd have to be someone likable, otherwise they will cheer Rock and boo the other guy.

If Cena wins He should turn heel at mania, even if it only for 2 months and at the end of the 2 months he says "I was too focused on winning that I lost my way"

Only really enjoy the Rock when he's a heel.

Dunno if they could work it, but if he was to go the route of Bret in 96/97 and work as a heel while still doing his CeNation stuff for the kiddies, might help with stop the drop in merch sales, he's still a face to the fans that already cheer him.

When Cena faced Lesnar at Extreme Rules, the crowd started off predictably pro-Lesnar and by the end when Cena had gotten the shit kicked out of him most of the match and then hit Lesnar with the chain and got that final comeback in the crowd was going nuts for him. And it was in front of a very mark-ish Chicago crowd no less. They were able to suck the crowd in even if it was just for one night by making Cena out to be a genuine underdog.

I'd love it if Cena took some sort of major bump. Going through a table or something. The EMTs come out and Cena isn't moving. They put him on the stretcher and start to roll him to the back when he climbs off the stretcher and gets back in the ring. He tries fighting back until Rock hits him with the Rock bottom but he can still only get a two count. Rock ends up stressing and makes a mistake which leads to Cena hitting an AA and getting the pin. This leads to Rock turning on him after the match and just beating him down, even knocking out EMTs who try to help.

Heel Rock is awesome but...

in reference to the poll question, I'm not sure you could turn Rock heel with Cena on the other side. Example:

Ref bump, Rock goes out and grabs a chair, uses it to pummel Cena. Crowd likely cheers the Rock

Rock loses, goes nuts, puts Cena through a table - Crowd likely cheers this

I could only seeing it working a Wrestlemania if Rock gets on the mic after winning the match, talking about how he is better than WWE and saying he's taking the belt and never coming back. Then, you may have something.

so, could they turn the Rock heel? Sure. But Cena isn't the right vehicle to do it.

Just have The Rock no-show the main event and show up on Raw the next day talking about how he had to do some promo for his next movie and didn't have time for Wrestlemania, but he'd be more than happy to beat Cena's candy ass live TONIGHT! The match is hyped all night as the main event. Cena makes his way to the ring, ready to do the damn thing. Rock's theme hits, he doesn't show. The music restarts like three times, and still no Rock. The camera cuts to the back where The Rock is getting into a limo, on the phone with some A-lister who has invited him to a can't-miss party.

I think you see where it goes from there.

Heel Rock would be great but it would never with working a part time schedule.

Every time The Rock comes back he gets cheered and as mentioned earlier there is not many people on the roster you can find to get cheered over him. They'd never be able to sustain the heel turn.

A John Cena heel turn makes far more sence both from a logistic and story stand point.

Just messing with you "The Show Off". You are secretly one of my favorite wrestling forums posters even though you can be a dolt sometimes. #TalkLikeCSL

The main event at WrestleMania is actually somewhat intriguing now, because a loss for Cena would potentially send him off the deep end, win by "any means necessary" could mark an exciting heel turn and a clean heroic victory would be perfectly fine storytelling. Honestly, I'm not sure which route I would go, but I think that longer they hold off on a Cena heel turn the more magical it will be when it finally happens.

Man, I'm just imagining a heel Cena vs. face Punk in Chicago, though...
