View Full Version : TPWW.net: The Wrestling Federation
I guess I'm kind of ripping this off from Ferocious thread, but what if we started our own wrestling federation?
On this discussion boards, we have all made friends with not only fans of wrestling, but wrestlers, columnist, reporters, writers, and people with tons of <I>personality</I>. We have at this website all the major tools to start a wrestling federation.
The TPWW.net is supposedly suppose to get around 10,000 hits a day, which would be at least a good chuck of advertising for the fed. Also, due to friendships with other wrestling news websites and the buzz a "smark" wrestling federation would make should catch some people attention.
At this board we also have plenty of people who could contribute to a wrestling show. We have wrestlers who could possibly work for us (Dave Youell, King Jericho, The One...), people who could play roles such as managers and other characters in wrestling (sTiMa, Triple A, Kane Knight, Funky Fly, The Natch, Superslim, Seyda, Lara Emily...). We also have quite a few wrestling geniuses around here that could play announcers, commentators, wrestling analysts (Rob, 91, Lamuella, Corkscrewed, Lara Emily...), and people who could write a good show (Kapoutman, Champion of Europa, <s>JT Kool</s> :shifty: ...). As for anyone else we need, there is the list of free agents which Ferocious posted.
For the money we would need (wrestling ring, renting a hall, DJ, belts, etc.), we could do the same thing we did to get the VB Boards by getting donations. I'm pretty sure we would get enough suppose for people to lend us a few dollars here and there. On top of that, we could maybe sell wrestling merchandise at a few wrestling shows or even get a little help from Triple A and the TPWW Store.
What does everyone think of the idea?

I did a couple shows for a small indie fed about a year ago as a manager and got a bunch of calls off of it. I'd be willin to do it.
All cause of my prestigious acting background... :D

I'll be honest with you. I love his music. I do. I'm a Michael Bolton fan. For my money, it doesn't get any better than when he sings "When a Man Loves a Woman".

I was trained as a wrestler, but spent most of the time writing shows and doing the announcing/commentating for the company I was with.
Let me turn this into "Worst Wrestling Ever" and you're going to have a great show.

You know what that massive gaps in water might just hold this back slightly and to be honest my thread was meant as a joke and a cheap way to take a pop at boossman listing his number

OCW Makes Changes To Schedule
Posted by Jose Antonio Beltran on May 2, 2012 at 7:55 PM
OCW Officials have unfortunate news to give to our fans, the video camera used to film episodes of "Fully Charged" and the monthly special events is currently malfunctioning. The camera also had footage that was previously taped for the airing of tonight's "Fully Charged Ep.37" which is unaccessible at this time. Therefore, part of the episode will have to be retaped as the episode will now air this Friday, May 4th, 2012 on YouTube.com/OCW2011 as OCW cares about the fans needs and only wants to satisfy the viewers. The delay of the "Fully Charged Ep.37" will push back the worldwide premiere documentary from OCW Productions of "Jose Antonio: Journey To Greatness" due to unforseeable circumstances and the new airdate is Tuesday, May 8th, 2012. Finally, the "No Justice" special event is being pushed back from it's original date of Sunday, May 6th, 2012 to Wednesday, May 9th, 2012. OCW appreciates the fans cooperation through this unexpected situation.█
OCW LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hit of the summer? More like Oscar-nominated...starring Mario Lopez as Jose Antonio, and Morgan Freeman as "Coach" John Davis, who is Jose's inspiration to become a professional wrestler.....he will inevitably die in the end, probably before Jose's first OCW Championship match.

"Bless your little cotton socks" will become the new "Because Stone Cold said so".
I will laugh every time it's said.
Sorry for bumping this, but just have to say "Wow"! I still remember throwing out this idea... can't believe it's 8 years old now. Hell, John Cena was still in his US title run when this thread was made.
And after 8 years I'm a little wiser to what it would take to really do something like this, and know how small of a promotion it would really be. Though there is always a cool thought in running your own wrestling promotion (and I'm sure many other people here feel the same).
I think if I ever have the cash set aside, I might try to pull it off my own one day (at least in a small sense). Hell, might even get a return on my investment if I do it right...
I did a couple shows for a small indie fed about a year ago as a manager and got a bunch of calls off of it. I'd be willin to do it.

lol
I would be a good manager.
