I was checking out the newsboard on this site and they wrote sort of an interview with Jeff Jarrett about the tv deal, and he said they don't have a traditional 4 sided ring. WTF is that?

I've heard something about a six-sided ring!! but we get OLD clips/ads in the uk, it might've been for a special PPV

Yeah Jarrett was on Between the Ropes (a wrestling radio/internet show) and he was talking about the TV deal. He mentioned they wouldn't be using a tradition wretling ring for their first show on FSN. The 6-sided ring wasn't mentioned specifically, but thats the rumour. I believe they use this type of ring in a promotion in Mexico.

I remember reading like 2 months ago that they are planning on using a 6-sided ring for their "X Division" matches.

I pretty excited about getting to watch another big wrestling promotion. Do you think they will start from scratch and wipe out all the storylines they have now so new people won't be lost when they tune in June 4?

I cant wait for a new promotion to happen. Since WCW left town I have gotten board of just seeing the same people over and over again on WWE. Hopefully this will give me what I need.

I dont think the will scrap anything (quite frankly that would eb a really bad idea, it always backfired in WCW), but I think they will need to load up their first couple of shows with new recognizable talent to get people to keep watching.

Unfortunately they're doomed for failure. They plan on keeping the weekly PPVs, so the Friday shows will be something of a B-level show, which will primarily be there to get people to order the next PPV. Its on a bad netwrok, in a horrible time slot, so I dont see any way it could work.

I think they will realize that keeping the PPV is a huge mistake and will drop it as soon as the buyrates start dropping off.

And I just hope they can write some good shows when they start up. I've been reading the results of a few shows recently and they seem rather dull to me. Back when they were running the S.E.X. VS Tradition storyline in the begginning, I really enjoyed that a lot. I ordered a bunch of shows during that angle and then after it, I never ordered another show. I guess when Jarrett beat Raven for that first time, I kind of got turned off by it. Raven had a lot of support and they should of put the belt on him at that time.

Totally agree. The only hope they have is to start running monthly shows instead of weeklys.

How much would an average American pay for a months worth of WWE PPV's in comparrison to TNA ones?

Toryumon use the 6 sided ring. From what I've seen of matches in that ring, they work well if you can adapt.

Did they just start doing that? All the toryumon stuff i've seen they use the tradition ring. Keep in mind I haven't really seen anything prior to 2003.

I think what TNA really needs to do is attract fans who aren't just watching for the X-Division. I can't think of many shows that have had more then 2 good matches on the card.
