Simple Question really. What guys currently on the roster do you see making the HOF besides the obvious Rock, Cena, HHH, and Undertaker? Do you guys see anyone else who has a shot? Punk? Brock? Kane? Maybe Rey?

Blatantly, but should be in this thread.

From his WCW days to now, he still is the man on the mic and in the ring.

How the hell did I forget Jericho lol He's gotta be a definite too.

Every single person you mentioned in your opening post. They'll all go in. As well as a bunch of others like Mark Henry, Big Show, Orton, probably Sheamus as well at some point. Maybe even a few lower card guys like Regal.

Hard to judge on the rest really because someone could go from Bradshaw to JBL in a really short time and cement themselves a place.

Quite a lot of them have the potential to be honest. CM Punk, Chris Jericho, Kane, Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Sheamus, Mark Henry, Christian... some sooner than others of course.

I've been thinking of making a thread about this for some time but with including alumni too.

But not thinking about The Rock, John Cena, Triple H and Undertaker, for me on the current roster, and thinking about what they've achieved up until now, I can see these guys going into the Hall of Fame in the future.

Big Show
Brock Lesnar
Chris Jericho
Christian
CM Punk
JBL
Kane
Mark Henry
Paul Heyman
Randy Orton
Rey Mysterio
The Great Khali (Only because of his size)
Sheamus
William Regal

There are some guys on the current roster that, if they continue being used the way they have been recently, I think will be future Hall of Famers.

Alberto Del Rio (If he becomes World Champion a few more times)
Cody Rhodes (If he has many memorable IC/US Title reigns)
Daniel Bryan (See Alberto Del Rio)
Dolph Ziggler (See Alberto Del Rio)
Jack Swagger (I don't know what he's go to do but I just get "that feeling" about him)
Kofi Kingston (If he remains a face while winning titles, à la Ricky Steamboat)
The Miz (See Alberto Del Rio)
Ryback (See Jack Swagger)
Wade Barrett (If he becomes World Champion or has many memorable IC/US Title reigns)

If we're talking about referees then Mike Chioda is a shoo-in.

Not on PPV, no.

But he has wrestled on SmackDown, teaming with future Hall of Famers The Rock and Chris Jericho. ;)

Potential Headliners:

Potential Regular Inductees:
Alberto Del Rio

Everyone else worthy is either borderline or still have a lot of time left to build up their HoF stardom potential.

Depends on who doesnt burn a bridge.

The thing with the WWE HOF is that plenty of guys who deserve to be in arent, and plenty will go i nthat dont.

I love Regal. Hes Great. But for him to ever make it would be a joke when treating the HOF as "legitimate".

The real answer is whomever the can get to show up and sell tickets.

Wishbone
04-24-2013, 04:21 PM
Hanso's got the idea. Essentially anyone could and probably will go into the HoF at some point. It's just a selling point and a nod to people who WWE deems worthy or whatever. I mean Edge was a prime candidate to one day be a hall of famer, but him getting in when he did was bullshit when guys like Savage aren't yet.

He may be a lowly Producer at this point, but one could make a very serious case for Finlay.

Didn't Finlay get fired because of some bullshit with Miz pissing off the marines?

Maybe it it just too blatantly obvious, what about vince mcmahon? Definitely agree with jericho, more from his AJPW and ECW days than his wcw days though. Probably paul heyman too, also savage, rick rude, lilian garcia, kane, regal, mysterio, big show, ddp, jbl, joey styles, ziggles...

Yeah, he made it so The Miz would interrupt the national anthem at a house show to get more heat.

No it wouldn't. The guy has been around for decades and has always been stellar at what he does and he's got some nice kayfabe accomplishments to go with it. He's not a headliner or anything but how would him going in as a second tier inductee be a joke?

Those on the current roster (including part-timers):

John Cena, Triple H, The Rock, Undertaker, CM Punk, Chris Jericho,..............possibly Kane, possibly Rey Mysterio, not sure about Brock Lesnar.

Christian maybe as part of The Brood or as an Edge and Christian Tag Team.

Michael Cole, Paul Heyman for his ECW work, Teddy Long.

Vince McMahon himself one day perhaps when he either completely steps down or eventually passes on.

William Regal perhaps. Maybe Vickie Guerrero one day. None of the Divas are worth inclusion except maybe AJ because of her memorable storylines otherwise the rest including my beloved Kaitlyn haven't really done anything memorable but that's not their fault.

Lillian Garcia because of the fact she was the first or one of the first female announcers?

Charles Robinson as far as referees are concerned............

Not the first, no, as Mike McGuirk was the first.

Is Mark Henry the third longest tenured guy on the roster after HHH and Taker? I never would have thought he'd be around for as long as he has.

Cool King
04-24-2013, 06:30 PM
Well Henry joined the WWF in 1996. Kane has been with the company since 1995 but from then until 1997, he went under the names of Isaac Yankem and "Diesel".

Current guys like Rey yeah. Big Show, Kane, Jericho and Orton are no brainers. I definitely see Del Rio and Christian as future inductees as well as legends such as DDP and hopefully the Steiners.

Good thread...

I actually would like to see Jim Johnston in the Hall of Fame. He's been with the company since the 1980's and he's written and composed so many memorable theme songs for the wrestlers over the years. He definitely deserves it.

Also think that Andre the Giant deserves to be re-inducted. He never got a formal ceremony with someone inducting him and the video package, etc. as far as I know all he got was an announcement on RAW in 1993 and he deserves way more than that IMO.

Do you think Sting will ever be in it?

Cool King
04-25-2013, 09:00 AM
Good question.

Even though I'm not really that big on Sting, I still think he should eventually go in. It's just up to him if he says yes or not.

I get the feeling he won't accept while he's still alive as it's the "WWE Hall of Fame" and not just "Professional Wrestling's Hall of Fame". I've always gotten a feeling from him that he doesn't like the WWE at all, so I don't think he'll accept.

When the time comes that he's no longer around though, then I think maybe he will be inducted posthumously, with his children giving the yes to it happening.

Earl Hebner has been involved in some iconic storylines. Probably moreso in the 80's and 90's than recently. If refs start making it Earl's gotta be one.
edit: actually reading Earl's wiki and what he was let go for, looks unlikely we'll see him.

Even tho he's commentary, he's roster also, : JBL will probably also get in down the lines. Especially with Ron Simmons already in.
