View Full Version : UFC Fight Night 27: Condit vs Kampmann
This appears to be on a weeknight. So i'm wondering if we're getting stuck with a shit Fueltv bullshit or something. Just speculation. Maybe Barnett makes his debut there.

While the first UFC on Fox Sports 1 event still awaits a main event, the second event slated to land in Indianapolis on August 28 now has a headline fight, and it's a rematch of two top-10 welterweights.According to a report by A.J. Perez of Fox Sports, former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit will square off with Martin Kampmann in the feature bout for the Midwest show landing at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.Condit hinted earlier in the day on Twitter that he had an upcoming announcement about his next fight, and it appears this will be the one.It was just over four years ago that Condit first came to the UFC after reigning as the WEC welterweight champion for several fights. Once the organization closed down its welterweight ranks, Condit moved to the UFC where he faced perennial top-10 challenger Martin Kampmann in his debut bout. The two welterweights engaged in a back-and-forth war over the course of 15 minutes, but when it was over, Kampmann stood as the winner by split decision in a hotly contested bout. Now with both fighters looking to jump back into the deep end of the welterweight division following recent setbacks, they will meet again as the headline fight of the second UFC on Fox Sports 1 card.Condit returns after back-to-back losses to the two best welterweights in the sport. Condit lost a decision to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at UFC 154 last year and then fell to a decision to top contender Johny Hendricks in March at UFC 158.The losses fueled Condit to work on his wrestling, which he credits for the losses he suffered in both bouts, and ironically enough, it was probably takedowns that cost him his first fight against Kampmann as well. Now with a chance to avenge the first loss of his UFC career while getting back on track, Condit returns in August to face an old foe.Kampmann will also try to erase the memory of his last fight where he lost by knockout to Johny Hendricks at UFC 154. Prior to that defeat, Kampmann had racked up three wins in a row, including victories over Jake Ellenberger and Thiago Alves.

Bet the house on Condit.
whoa that's a heck of a fight. I like both those guys a lot. I'm going for sure.
UFC lightweight contender Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone will face fast-rising Rafael dos Anjos on Aug. 28 in Indianapolis, promotion officials confirmed Wednesday.
The Indianapolis Star first reported the bout on its website earlier on Wednesday.
Cerrone, who has won three of his four most recent fights, will attempt to win his second bout in a row. He defeated former Strikeforce contender K.J. Noons by unanimous decision on May 25 to improve to 20-5 with one no contest.
The 30-year-old Cerrone came up short in a lightweight title eliminator on Jan. 26 when Anthony Pettis knocked him out in the first round. Cerrone is currently ranked seventh among 155-pound fighters by ESPN.com.
Dos Anjos, 28, is currently riding a four-fight win streak. He improved to 19-6 on May 18 with a unanimous decision over Evan Dunham.
Welterweight contenders Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann will meet in the Aug. 28 main event, which takes place at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
This card is by far gunna make up for the abomination that was the first event in Indianapolis.

If Condit or Kampmann drop out with injury, I almost guarantee that Chris Lytle will replace them...Which would be amazing.

I love Kampmann, but I think Condit is gonna wipe the floor with him this time...Also Cerrone should beat Dos Anjos fairly convincingly...I think this is the card that has Robert Whittaker Vs Court McGee as well, which should be an excellent scrap.
