Anyone have a rooted Android device?

Is it worth doing? I'm likely getting a Nexus 4 in the near future, and I'm considering rooting it straightaway. Never done it before.

I've done some cursory research, but I can't really decide if it's worth the trouble, or even if it's that much trouble to do in the first place. What say ye?

I rooted my own Nexus 4, very simple to do. Just head over to a phone forum like XDA and follow the specific steps.

Yeah I've seen the steps. Seems simple, I am just probably needlessly paranoid about accidentally bricking my phone.

If you can follow step-by-step instructions (ie you are not Fangerl), the chances of you bricking your phone are close to nil.
