I was curious what everyone here thought of the Curtis Axel Theme Song. I don't know if he will ever elevate to Main Event status, but I'm loving his Theme Song. Does anyone know where or how i can download it?

I like the updated version with the intro better. He's still boring.

The theme song is pretty cool, and yes, so far, he is a bit on the boring side and probably will be until everything gets felt out. Honestly, the only thing that has caught my attention so far was the perfect plex he did monday night. Not afraid to admit, I marked out a bit. I really enjoyed his dad back in the day and hope that he can get to his level or even surpass him.

He did his dad's flip-over neckbreaker, too.
As far as the theme song, I'm sure they'll be telling you soon enough what it's called on iTunes on WWE programming.

He's just a shade more interesting than Alex Riley. Who is about tied with canned peas.

Peas are the fifth best side dish compliment to a meatloaf, so I mean, that's...a thing.

You are thinking of frozen peas, canned peas better looking financially successful cousin.

Pretty sure you could have a match between frozen and canned peas, and it would draw better than Alex Riley vs Curtis Axel.

Wish they named him Axel Hennig or something. Jesus Christ. And you put him in the ring with these main event guys to get a "rub" without any build, he's just there out of nowhere. It's just retarded. This is destined toward failure, and it sucks because I think Joe Hennig is great in the ring and it would be nice to have a throwback to his old man.

May as well tat him up in Japanese writing, put a stupid mask on him and call him Lord Tensai.

I think Curtis Axel is the best name they could've come up with.
I wish they just called him "Curtis" though and had him come out, scream "CURTIS!" and powerbomb people.
Instant main eventer there.

His theme song reminds me he's not as good as his dad.
His name reminds me he's not as good as Johnny Curtis.
His beard barely makes the top five in the company.
Overall he is a huge meh(Gillicutty).

He did have a rivarly with Tyson Kidd which was fantastic for what it was. They had exciting matches on NXT and Superstars.

Slightly less awesome than the Tyson Kidd-Yoshi Tatsu rivalry over Tyson dismembering Yoshi's action figure.
God, I loved NXT.

He is great in the ring. The problem is these young guys are generally all very good in the ring, it's a sort of new breed of talent, lots of young athletic guys that can go. It's a question of what's going to separate you from the pack. I do personally think having "it" is in the Hennig genes, but you can't just randomly have Paul Heyman being like "Here's my new guy Curtis Axel" when nobody has a fucking clue or care about who he is. No hype videos. No real gimmick or character. He's just there, a "Paul Heyman" guy.
Give him the same damned gimmick his dad had. Why the hell not? It'd be a hell of a lot better received then being like "Oh remember Michael McGillicutty, well he's now Curtis Axel, and is equally as generic as he used to be but he's now randomly wrestling main eventers after beating noone and having no build."

Just a random thought... What if this is all a plan by Curtis Axel to befriend Heyman to get close to CM Punk to get his revenge two years after Punk unceremoniously kicked him out of the New Nexus and fucked up his career?
... If I had faith in Axel like you guys seem to have I'd think that would make him an awesome babyface.

Punk never kicked him out though, OtungaCutty were still wearing Nexus gear weeks after Punk "left" and everyone else was back in FCW.

That's right. Punk just had the rest of the Nexus beat the shit out of him as an initiation.

Punk kicked out Wade Barrett, then Slater and Gabriel quit because Punk wanted them to fuck each other or something.
Later on, Orton punted every single one of them in the head in the build up to Wrestlemania and Punk did nothing of note until the pipe bomb.

Remember when Jack Swagger came back from nowhere after jobbing on TV for like 12 months straight and then just disappearing? And then won his Elimination Chamber match before facing off for the WHC at WM just weeks later?
How about we give the character a bit more than two weeks to develop and see what happens.

To be fair Jack Swagger is still the same Jack Swagger. A great wrestler with awkward mic skills. He just has Zeb Coulter to take the gimmick to new heights.
And even with a great manager, I don't really seem him an a big star. Coulter is the focal point. And that's pretty much how I feel about Axel.

It's ok...all it really did was remind me that he isn't Mr. Perfect.
Hopefully with some time this guy can finally turn into something noteworthy, because everything I've seen so far has been completely forgettable.

His ring work is good, but so are 100 other guys. Right now he has no charisma and just about zero entertainment value.

They need to quit letting him talk and let Heyman do all the talking. Defeats the purpose of giving a guy who can't talk a manager if you let the guy talk anyway.

Let him cut promos at house shows to get better, but don't let him talk on TV until he is worth a shit on the mic.

I get what people say about the awkwardness of it initially, but I kind of enjoyed week two of the Curtis Axel experiment. He's not bad on the mic -- maybe not fantastic -- but not bad. His match with Cena was good. If anything, being a Paul Heyman Guy puts the attention on you and allows you the opportunity to randomly main event -- then it's up to the talent to seize it. I hope this thing works out for all involved.

That backstage conversation with Paul was painful to watch, even though I'm usually a fan of Curtis.

Not saying he doesn't still have quite a way to go, but compared to where he was even a month ago, it's a vast improvement.

I'm starting to enjoy Curtis Axel more and more. He's getting a lot more confident in the role. I hope they don't pull the rug out from under him any time soon. I like that he gets clean wins against guys like The Miz and Cody Rhodes a fair bit. I'd like to see him feud with Kofi Kingston and bring up their NXT past together. Just don't cut the legs off another rising heel to give Kofi another IC Title reign.

His promo on SmackDown was probably his most confident one yet. He needs to be talking at house shows to get practice and find a promo style that suits him.

I like how his gimmick is that he's "better that perfect" yet he struggles to string a coherent sentence together.
