Most overrated game of the century? I think so.

I just bought this game now that the price dropped and I am sitting there playin it and going "THE FUCK this gets called the best game ever for". Its soooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. You wander around, faggots interrupt you by telling you stupid crap that you can barely understand because of "medieval" accents,

NPC : "Ah hay ho there traveler. I am Eldruchatein Muharbat. I av seen sum monsters! When I was young"

Me : OMG STFU ALREADY NO ONE CARES!

NPC : *continues talking nonsense for half an hour*

Me : OMG SHUT UP JUST TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO FOR YR QUEST

NPC : *continues talking gibberish*

Me : *kills npc, guards run out, kill my character because he does like zero damage and is a pansy*

Reload. Wait until he...Finally stops talking. Wander around town a bit, cant kill anyone because 500 guards run and kill you. Go out into wild, find some fort thing and cant kill anyone there because they attack me as soon as I walk by.

Look at map, wander into cave, get killed by impossible to kill vampire.

WTF is this game suppose to be so "good" for? This is junk! I think this is a case of everyone loving it because of graphics.

If opened PC games could be returned, I would bring it back to the store!

This game SUCKS ASS.

Yeah I got tired of it pretty quickly. Not that enjoyable to play and full of bugs.

It's all fart and no shite, as they say.

This is probably the most sensible Iop thread i've seen.

I bought it not long ago as well, and while the size of it is amazing, I'm definitely quite bored of it. The story's pretty dull, the medieval stuff isn't really up my street either and the missions are pretty repetitive. In a way, the size of it takes away fom the game at times. On the way to doing one minor quest, you can get caught up in about another 5 or 6 different things and lose track completely of any plot. Right now I'm seeing simply a list of quests in a checklist to tick off rather than a story I particularly want to engage myself in.

I still play it, but I've modded it out the arse. My character has a chair for a face.

Is Oblivion any good? I've been trying to decide whether to start it or not.

I enjoyed playing Oblivion more because of the invasion plot but the graphics might do your head in.

Yeah, I was thinking the graphics would play a factor into it, I enjoyed the Fallout series the best out of Bethesda. I can always pick those games up and lose myself in them.

I bought Skyrim twice and sold it out of boredom, the third time I bought it I kept going and once I got used to the game I started to enjoy it. I put in 40 hours and still nowhere near halfway through. I stopped playing again mainly because it's so time consuming.

Somedays you can spend an hour doing a really cool quest, other times in an hour all you do is walk round a long ass mountain and find a whole bunch of caves you can't be bothered to explore.

Do all the bandits look like The Idea Men?

And also if you do ever start playing Oblivion, you’ll want to avoid the planes of Oblivion like the plague wherever possible, since they are seriously repetitive.

“Oh, look this plane of Oblivion is just like all the other 1,037,986 ones I’ve already been to. It’s so great to have to run around a circular maze, find my way into the main chamber and grab a flaming ball of fire just to keep Cyrodiil safe!”

Skyrim is an awesome game. I guess you must have the Ps3 version if you think it sucks.

They have a bandit that looks like Triple H.

I didn't know Fangerl had a sock.

I may have killed him a few dozen times.

No way would Triple H put you over that many times.

I enjoy it and I find it hard to really get into the whole LOTR/Thor/Game of Thrones theme.

I played it pretty much to completion.... took me like 6 months.

There is so many bugs tho. I had to trick the system into letting me actually complete the dragonborn quest because of bugs and a bunch of the cool unique weapons i gained disappeared forever when i put them on weapon racks

Yea there's a bug that won't let me complete the dragonborn one still.

I'm yet to experience any serious glitches. A couple minor "what?" moments, but that's it. Then again, this game's a crap shoot, it seems.

Not enough dragon souls? Whenever you kill a dragon does the guy go "ha ha ha thanks guy now get yourself one?"

You need to have a few spare dragon souls before starting the quest because he steals most of the ones you get from dragons you kill.

I've had a couple glitches with major storyline quests... I don't remember the specifics, but there was on in the Ratway with that locked door (with the little shutter that the weirdo inside opens when you approach). I forget the long and short of it but I had to use a console command to force-finish the quest. I don't know how that would be able to be done in a console (PS3/360 in this case) version of the game. Otherwise though nothing big.

Hmm..well I've killed a shitload of dragons so that can't be it. It's on the very last page of the blackbook or whatever. The main last dragon where you're suppose to fly on it. I weaken it to the point where it'd be dead but it doesn't do anything, it just lays there until it eventually restores it's health and comes at me again.

Most of the time, it's gg new game/reload on consoles.

You need to do "Bend will" at full power (3 souls strength) hold the button and then scream.

Crimson

Yes I did remember I had to use that Bend will shout to bring him down. But no prompt will come up to talk.

It's a good thing Curtis didn't like the game. It would have been a shame to waste a perfectly good title like that.

SlickyTrickyDamon
06-24-2013, 08:39 PM
Hmm do you have 10000 mods on or something?

Crimson
06-24-2013, 11:44 PM
No, its on ps3. I'm thinking I messed up the order in which I was suppose to do the quests maybe. I collected 2 of the books first before I went into their realm. And I might have done one before the other?

There's quests I need to do for those people in the small village with the big fur coats. But nothing from them either. It's the same storyline so maybe I went out of sequence somewhere because that's where the bugs pop up usually.
