That was a pretty captivating exchange. Punk is an idiot for not taking care of Lesnar before going for Heyman however.
That was great.
I think Lesnar/Punk is going to be a really good match.
I am fine with Brock Lesnar being a part timer as long as he brings that bad ass intensity.
Mr. Nerfect

Can you imagine the the pops Punk would have gone for going nuts with the steel chair and Lesnar scrambled to escape?
Mr. Nerfect
08-05-2013, 10:08 PM
A lot of people are expecting Brock Lesnar to win at SummerSlam, but a win would be fairly massive for Punk. Kind of want Axel to get involved and help Brock win. Maybe a new guy from NXT under Heyman's guidance, too.

Wonder if this might tease Vince "hiring" the Shield to soften up Cena and Bryan after their SS match and then has Orton to cash in and win to become his hand-picked "corporate" champ.
Would also fix the mistake Vince did years ago with Punk which had just Del Rio cashing but Punk being able to foil those plans.

So, my wife brought up a good question tonight while Raw was on in the background. She said for months now she's watched the shield attack other wrestlers randomly. So she asked me why the shield always came through the crowd and attacked. I said they're a heel stable and they're dolling out justice. She asked me justice for what? I had no idea what to tell her. Doesn't this seem like a problem or something we should know by now?

Really should have done more with Christian on this RAW. Dude just became the #1 contender for a major title at a major PPV, and you give him a jobber entrance and a match against Heath Slater, and no mic time.
Should have definitely let him talk. I don't get why they never let Christian talk anymore, since he is so good at it.

I thought they said they were attacking people because the same group of stars was hogging the main event scene and keeping the mid-lower card guys down through their political clout.
I mean, that's what I thought their purpose was, but seem to pretty much attack anyone whenever they want.

Ah, I guess Miz TV is where Dolph and Kaitlyn officially challenge Big E. & AJ.
...Thus saddling Dolph with another ultimately pointless feud. It's been pretty clear from AJ's attacks on Dolph that he's feuding with a Diva. REAL GOOD WAY TO SPEND HIS TIME, WWE BOOKERS.
I suppose one could compare it to Dusty & Saphire vs. Savage & Sherri, but how did that help either man get over? Why not let AJ vs. Kaitlyn stand on its own merit?

So, who's going to be the corporate champion: Randy Orton or John Cena? Oh wait, we already know the answer to this... *sigh*
Mr. Pierre
08-06-2013, 01:13 PM
At Summerslam, I feel like they can't just do a straightforward cash-in with Orton, but a cash-in still should happen.
During the show, let's say after the 2nd match, there is an "emergency shaky cam" segment that shows Orton being taken into the back of an ambulance. Commentators are confused/concerned, and no one knows who attacked him.
Then before the main event with Bryan/Cena, Vince is shown at the gorilla position watching intently. Trips then pops into the picture and says, "You and I are staying right here..." Knocking out any chance of Vince screwing up the match.
Bryan ends up making Cena tap out, winning the Championship. Bryan is pseudo-celebrating since he's selling the match. The camera cuts back to Trips who is smiling at Vince, but Vince starts laughing. All of a sudden, Orton jumps into the scene and throws Triple H into the wall, lays a few boots to him, etc.
Vince starts screaming "Go!! Go!!" Orton runs through gorilla and into the ring. Punts Cena, RKOs Bryan, wins the belt. Vince ends the night smiling at the ramp as his new corporate champ wins and completes their setup.
Mr. Pierre
08-06-2013, 01:19 PM
Orton does the plan to add the element of surprise to his cash-in, like he initially promised. It would make no sense for him to just come out after the main event without a swerve because he has been teasing that scenario for a couple weeks.
Also, by throwing the cash-in out of the fan's mind by having us assume Orton was injured, it allows them/us to focus solely on Bryan/Cena and not think "Oh, doesnt matter who wins since Orton is fresh and will cash in afterward"

I really like that scenario. The only thing I would add is The Shield attacked Cena and Bryan right after the match. Orton then cashes in and it makes the plan even more sinister and devious. Plus it gives Vince four corporate champions.
Mr. Nerfect
08-08-2013, 01:15 AM
Another possibility:
What if Orton goes to cash-in on Bryan after the match, but The Shield actually stand up for Bryan and prevent Orton's "injustice?" The Shield have been ambiguous in their motives, and with The Wyatt Family as clear heels, perhaps turning The Shield face could eventually pit them against that group?
Innovator
08-08-2013, 08:30 AM
It's at the point where Orton should cash in, maybe not at Summerslam so maybe the RAW after. WWE needs a top heel right now and Orton can fill that role.
