I haven't been much of a videogame player for many many years now, but I have nothing better to do with my time while temporarily out of work. So tell me names of videogames that I should play, and that I can illegally download and play on illegal emulators on my computer.

Mega Man X. You should just play that forever and become the world's #1 Mega Man X player.

Dota 2 is free on Steam, and pretty fun

I don't know what Dota 2 is, or Steam. Well, I kind of know what Steam is. Used to think it had something to do with the game "Half Life", but now I understand it is some sort of way to purchase games or something.

Any particular console(s) and genres you favoring at the moment for game choices?

Lock Jaw

Well, since I am looking to use emulators, SNES/Genesis/Gameboy/DS games. Things that can be played without a controller comfortably.

I don't know what Dota 2 is, or Steam. Well, I kind of know what Steam is. Used to think it had something to do with the game "Half Life", but now I understand it is some sort of way to purchase games or something.

Dota started out as a custom map in Warcraft 3. Basically you control a "hero" and it's a 5v5 game where you and other heroes try to take out the other heroes' base. If you've ever played any RTS game the controls should feel intuitive. If you've ever heard of League of Legends, that is basically a derivative of the "genre" that the original Dota created. Not for everyone but it is pretty competitive, and as I mentioned, free. [/shill]

Steam is pretty much just a platform for, yes, purchasing games, as well as simply accessing them. Get a friends list and everything and it makes it super easy to get into games with other friends. Valve (company that made Half-Life) created it, so there's that connection.

I didn't like Warcraft 3. Was one of the last games I played before I "got out of touch" with video games. I enjoyed Warcraft 2, though, back in the day.

If your willing to invest some time with RPGs, then really anything in the Top 20/25 from either list would be a great choice for the SNES. Super Mario All Stars might be the best choice for starters since it covers all the original Super Mario Bros games plus the Lost Levels (SMB 2 in Japan).

Same as the SNES with RPGs, anything from this list would be a good choice for the Genesis. Sonic 2 might be the best choice for starters.

King of the Monsters 2, King of Fighters 98, Street Fighter Alpha series. How's that for an emulator game, and Samurai Showdown.

If yr PC can handle it, play Max Payne 1-2 and Alan Wake.

If yr looking for old games and classics, then GET OFF YR ASS and play these two,

Final Fantasy 6 (3 in the US)
Chrono Trigger.
Easy to find on emulators and are AMAZING clASSics.

get Steam anyways and join the TPWW group. Nothing bad has come from joining Steam, just great deals and a library of games at my disposal

I used to love emulators, but the ones I had trouble getting to work were the N64 ones. This was back in 2005, so I'm sure they are better now, just haven't felt the urge to emulate it up with Steam in my life.

Spider-man and the X-men

That game kicked my ass as a kid. Rockin intro theme, though.

Earthbound on SNES. I'm not an RPG fan, but I picked this up and started playing it recently. Alot of fun

Beat that game recently. Proved to me that I am capable of still having the patience to play through a video game.

Jeopardy!, just cause it's one of the best games that almost never changes and is actually better on the old systems.

Been playing Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne. Surprisingly difficult. Would probably have beaten it by now if I didn't keep shutting it off from frustration.
