One thing on here I see come up time and time again is.
"I don't have anybody to play with".
"We should all party up and have a few games"
"A TPWW cliq would be rad."
So I just had the thought to make this thread where we can organize events where we can all get together and play some games.
This could be hit or miss, but I suppose it's worth a shot...
An example would be this...
Date - 19th August
Time - 20:00 GMT? Work out an average time...
Platform - Steam
Game - Team Fortress 2
It'd have to be structured to work. So once a week/fortnight.
Only one main event going on, otherwise it'd get cluttered with multiple events and inevitably it'll go to shit.
Thoughts?

I'd be down for a weekly sort of "gaming night" with a bunch of broskis here.
20:00 GMT is a bit early for me (I'll still be at work) but 2 hours later or so I should be home. Terrible at TF2 but it's fun so I'd be down. Been playing a lot of Dota 2 these days, have a few peeps I play that with

Come to think about it, 22:00 is probably the best time...
So what's that. 17:00 ET. 14:00 PT?
I only really put TF2 because it's a FTP game that everybody is familiar with.
I play the shit out of DOTA 2. Getting 10 of us together for a game would be amazing!

Yeah, I get off work at that time, usually home within about 30 mins or less (or free!)
I agree that TF2 is a very accessible game, mostly because it's free and awesome.
Dota 2 is fantastic. I don't know anybody here that plays though. But maybe if we get some sort of weekly thing going it will get people interested in playing. Kind of disappointed in the lack of interest in this thread so far, hope through the course of the day more people will reply a bit.
Anyway, in the meantime my steam ID is tonavin if you wanna add me. I'll be on later tonight prolly playing some Dota, but if you wanna rock some TF2 I'm down for that as well

Back in the Day™ we used to have a bunch of forum posters and we'd all play Age of Empires II. Was mad fun, even if most people were pretty much jobbers (da_king)

I actually own a TF2 server if we wanna THROW DOWN at some point.
This sounds fun, though I can guarantee I'll be terrible at pretty much anything we play.

Never played TF2 though I did dabble in DOTA 1. I might be in as fodder newb for TF2.

We already play with each other in our own subsets pretty much.
Fighting games: Kalyx, Fignuts, Blitz, Drakul, Funky, Me
COD: Miotch, Alvarado, ECG, Fallen Angel, Requiem, Me
Other stuff: a big mish mash of everyone
I mean really all of us have at least 7 other TPWWers on our friends list and probably play regularly with a couple of them.
Getting a significant amount of them all online all at the same time with some enthusiasm toward playing the game is extremely difficult. Take my word on it. But good luck to you.

I would say the next big TPWW video gaming event will be when the GTA V multiplayer goes online. I imagine we'll start to hammer out the details on when we should all hop on once that date gets closer though.

Aren't these mostly on console though?

Yeah.
There are PC meetups too though. Battlefield, Borderlands, TF2. I think Poit plays Magic but I'm not sure if he plays it with tpwwers.
We even have our own steam group. (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tpdub) Which is probably very helpful to organize something like this.

Hey
There are so many TPWWers playing with other TPWWers that I might forget a few
Joined the Steam group, love the picture chosen

Other than when I played with Narc last year, I haven't played Magic since college.

Oh.
One of us does.
Kane Knight maybe? Or Hornicane?

Blitz, you be quiet. You're too busy pressing X repeatedly in Dynasty Warriors to play with us anymore.
Also, I don't think I've played black ops 2 with anybody.
Fignuts

Oh wait, I think I played with Fangel once or twice.

The biggest meets were on GTA4 and Red Dead, so GTAV is a given. We've also managed to have some team ups in MW2 of all things, the only time I made it a point to play CoD.
I still feel Halo 4 should be a shoe in due to the sheer amount of customization and wackiness each and every game. And it blows my mind how we never quite got a WWE online fed going with one of those games.

Probably due to the fact that most of us aren't huge on Halo's gameplay.

He's bluffing, lads. He's out to take your money.
Oh.

I have all the DotPs except the latest for 360 and 2012 and 2013 for PC. D Mac and a couple others also play it. I know one or two also play MTG Online, but I don't, for more or less the same reason I don't bother with the actual CCG.

I would have liked some of you to play about as much I played CoD for memory's sake. I had some boss gametypes.
And yeah, taking my creative chops to GTAV big time.

Sweet, the thread got some attention :).
Who want's to be a sort of "manager" to sort out what events are happening and whatnot?
Could use a poll system to decide what game we play for the event, but for now...
How about this for the first event?
Date - Wednesday 21st August
Time - 22:00 GMT
Platform - Steam
Game - Team Fortress 2

Could possibly have an event each week for Xbox, Playstation and Steam...
I only really play PC games now though, unless it's Halo, RDR or GTA.

Probably because of the servers being liquid shit since forever.

Yeah, if 2k fix that, which they hopefully will. We can have a fed going :)
