yeah this sudden cody push to the top is a welcome development.
i think this is great. they are taking the level of control that triple h/steph have and going much further with it than i thought they would. this has the potential to get a lot of people over, not just daniel bryan. but daniel bryan will be the man to shine the brightest at the end. so much potential here, and i've loved all of it so far. a bit cheesy at times (big show being broke, unless that's a ruse, and bringing up cody's fiancee) but they don't really detract from anything. good shit all around.

This!
I think the WWE is doing a really good job with the new corporation so far.
Bryan, Show, Ziggler and Rhodes are all going to look great before it is over.
It's a build in what will be a long-term angle. If the faces all beat the corporation overwhelmingly now they wouldn't have anywhere for the story to go.

The way the storyline has been going so far, Bryan is closer to being the next "Mick Foley" albeit without the really sick bumps than the next Stone Cold in regards to what the Corporation has done.
I hope you sensed the dash of sarcasm that I garnished that comment with :)

i just can't help but believe that they've finally turned the corner on attempting some real long term booking. now they just need to apply that same thought process to other parts of the show. like the tag team division. i do like the bits and pieces floating around that could form a compelling tag division. i've seen that before, though. need some pay off.

Nope.
Big Show walked away and the Shield attacked Daniel Bryan to give the match by DISQUALIFICATION to Daniel Bryan.

Triple H is right about Bryan being over but not really being WWE champion material. Doink the Clown was a bad example though. If the crowd decided the champion by their reactions to guys, Santino would have gone into WrestleMania 28 as World champion instead of Bryan.
Way to go, STD. Party pooper

I like what they are doing with Big Show, but they should have just had Triple H and Stephanie refuse to use Big Show, put him in Handicap Matches he can never win and forbid for him from challenging for a championship for the rest of his career. The money stuff is a bit silly.

It's cheesy drama crap, which is what WWE has been lacking for several years. It's getting back into male soap opera territory with this corporation stuff, IMO.

Fucking loved Rhodes' promo right before he left the arena. Cody I think is a future player. This storyline will solidify that.

I like how Steph was talking about how Show was some sort of role model for her "as a little girl", but they are only 5 years apart in age.

Maybe they hung out a lot as kids whenever Andre would bring him to a show.

By the way, the way Stephanie (and to a lesser extent, Triple H) are acting through this whole thing is great. I especially thought Stephanie's whole "solid B+" promo to Bryan the night after SummerSlam was fucking brilliant.

I was a bit weirded out by Triple H's random face turn vs. Paul Heyman, though.

Oh yeah, that made no fucking sense. Unless he's in on something with Heyman and he's gonna target Punk as another Bryan "solid B+" guy and the Heyman segment was just a ruse. I doubt it though.

It makes "sense" that he doesn't like Paul Heyman, but he could have been something like "I don't like you Paul, but do you know why I even allow you to stick around? Because, frankly, you are good for business. But keeping CM Punk happy, away from me, and away from the face of the WWE, that is good for business too".
Or something.
I don't know.

cody may be the stone cold, or he could be like sandman when he fueded with goldburg, in the parking lot calling out trips and orton wanting to kick there ass.

I thought it was less a face turn and more just an example of how evil is not monolithic.

You guys do remember that HHH just got out of a year long feud with Lesnar/Heyman, right?

Then they should probably stay away from each other as to not randomly endear Triple H to us by having him side heavily against someone we're supposed to hate while he's a heel. It's weird.

The joke about wrestling fans and goldfish memories would be apt here.

Is the deja vu giving me headaches? No, it's the historical glory that is starting the show with Triple H droning on for 30 minutes.

I hope the Bryan-Orton feud has more going for it than 'Shield attack Bryan - Orton hits RKO' every week.
