So does anyone watch this? I don't see any recent thread, so thought I'd just start a new one.

Polish TV started showing the first season, checked out the first 6 episodes and liked it enough not to wait a week for another, so just started downloading.

Think it's pretty awesome and I'm a big fan of Lewis since Band of Brothers. Even though he's a fuckin' redhead.

There's a thread here somewhere, but yeah, I'm watching it. I'd love to fuck crazy Clare Danes.

Or emotionally fragile Dana.

The lack of Brody in season 3 is frustrating me though, they need to show him more. I don't want to say too much without giving away any spoilers.

it's gone from great (1) to good (2) to questionable (3) rn. Will no doubt watch the rest of this season but the drop in quality is pretty shocking but then maybe they're building to "good things"

I'm at the end of season 2 and can't believe how in the fuck is Carrie still (again) working for the CIA. Constantly doing whatever she wants, disobeying orders, beig crazy and butt ugly, etc.

I think it has went from perfect, to laughable now on to downright shit. I watched the first two eps of the 3rd series and they are pretty bad. The only thing that kept me going in the 2nd series was the superb acting and great characters. If ever a series had a tight narrative arc that ought to have been wrapped up in due course, it was that one. It should have had a beginning, middle and end before they started. It's actually difficult to reconcile how tense the first series was compared to the show since then, where it lurches from one ridiculous scenario to another.

To my knowledge this show is produced by those that created 24, so ridiculousness should be expected. But, yeah, the first season was fantastic, especially with the tension that they wrung out of that scene when Brody was in the safe room with the VP and his staff.

The network should have been brave and finished it after one season.

Definitely. I didn't know there was another series coming when watching that, it was incredibly tense. The use of Carrie's mental illness and obsessive personality was perfect too, when they actually made her "love" Brody instead of just going too far in trying to expose him, I rolled my eyes so much I was doing somersaults.

Damn, after watching the finale I expect next season to be bloody awful.

They are, but after just finishing the 3rd season I think you should give it another shot. You might really like the finale.

Burning through these in 3 days has inspired me to make a thread later about the pros of binging a show instead of waiting week to week. I can understand and agree with some of the pacing issues but since I didn't have to wait, it didn't bother me.

My glass is half full about the prospect of season 4. I'm optimistic about where it goes from here.

I don't really see the need for a fourth season after how season 3 ended. A good place to call it quits. It lasted two seasons further than it should have.

I dunno either. Season 3 did definitely improve towards the end but I really can't see where they're going to go in Season 4.
