I always spam up the 100k thread with random "oldskool" shit because that is what I love. The only reason I watch wrestling ever is to try to relive my childhood through the late 90's.

From Ricky Steamboat to The Rock

From Mean Gene to Joel Gertner

This is a place for us to relive our youths by posting anything that reminds you of the good old days.

I'll start with a New Japan match between two of the best big men ever, Crusher Bam Bam Bigelow vs Big Van Vader

25 Years Ago Today: The Road Warriors win the NWA World Tag Titles

IMHO they waited too long to put the belts on the Roadies.

They seemingly squashed The Midnight Express who Crockett built up as this great tag team since 1985.

Classic Jimmy Hart at his best in Memphis

this is him and his men Nightmare & Speed goofing on Ricky and Robert Gibson and their deaf mother and making gay jokes about Lawler and referee Jerry Calhoun

Tojo Yamamoto wants his men Atsushi Onita and Masa Fuchi to get a match and is willing to put up $300 if Lance Russell can make it happen

He and Jimmy get into it of course

its crazy to me how over and loved the Von Erich boys were in Texas

I just am amazed that the fans also back then were allowed to get right up next to him and are seen hugging and kissing on Kevin

the only security was one cop and the Von Erich's bodyguard

this match features King Kong Bundy with hair and manager Armand Hussein

Ted Nugent's Stranglehold is such a bad ass entrance song

classic Jimmy Hart at his best in Memphis

He was just a hundred times funnier to me in his Memphis run than anything else he ever did

Jimmy Hart shoots straight with fellow manager Cashbox Jimmy Kent (1981)
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/qffOGbnZi44?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Lance Russell attends a First Family party to discover what their dream matches would be. In attendance are Jimmy Hart, Wayne Farris, Kevin Sullivan and The Nightmares (Ted Allen and Danny Davis) (1981)
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/1DA1x_LSm08?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Jimmy Hart and nursemaid, Kevin Sullivan, cut a promo after Jimmy had his leg broken by Jerry Lawler last Monday night at the Mid-South Coliseum. A classic performance by Jimmy Hart. (1981)
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/0KlSf1-xMyo?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Jimmy Hart has a musical surprise for Lance Russell... Plus music videos for the Rock n' Roll Express, The Fabulous Ones and The Bruise Brothers. (Memphis Wrestling - Channel 5 Studios, 5-7- 1983)

Grew up watching the WWF in the 80's with a bit of WCW/NWA.

Early-mid 90's, a station from Detroit would show Smokey Mountain Wrestling and USWA every Saturday around noon.

Fun fact, my great-grandmother used to sit front row at Big Time Wrestling (The Original Shiek's Territory) for every television taping and you see her yelling and screaming at Dick the Bruiser, Bobo Brazil and all the heels who came through the territory.

Lol Jimmy Hart and Plowboy Frazier (Playboy here because Lawler though it'd be funny). Frazier would go on to be Uncle Elmer in the WWF

Dr. D David Schultz cutting a promo that probably get the WWF sued and shutdown if he did it today.

I remember Brad Armstrong being the top face in Smokey Mountain and the team of Al Snow and the Unibomb (Kane) being bad ass. Pretty sure it was Ricky Morton where they did an angle where Unibomb put Morton in a full nelson and lifted him off his feet and swung him around and made it look like he broke his neck.

Actually, I think it was in a Scaffold Match between R&R Express and Al Snow/Unibomb.

Al Snow and Unibomb (Kane) were awesome for the short while they were in Smoky Mountain.

Lol wrestling license

that was actually a real thing.

Wrestlers used to have to be licensed via the sports commission prior to the WWE coming forward and saying its a show.
