View Full Version : So... TNA/Kurt Angle

Pre-emptive LOL fuckin LOL TNA but..
Are they really running an angle (No Kurt) about his general health and well being or is this real life? I know he is recently out of rehab and shit. And we all know how that motherfucker gets purple as fuck like McDonalds' Grimace during matches nowadays. Plus the "dirt sheets" say he was legitimately injured at Bound For Glory (could not see a thing wrong with him in that great match with Roode til the finish). I just find it in bad taste and classless if it's a work. Ending the show with "Check tnawrestling.com for an update on Kurt" and the update was him being carried out of the arena and telling me to watch iMPACT! next week for another update.
Where do we draw the line? I'm a grown man and realize this is sports entertainment but to kids, these guys are heroes. These guys still put their bodies and lives on the line for this business as fake as it is. Just joking about it is some silly shit only TNA would try to pull.

the more the line is blurred the better for buisness. People believed injury angles once upon a time, if playing off real life is the only way to make people care then get at it.

You have to remember that this shit went on during the older era where people thought it was all real. Heck, Fritz Von Erich faked a heart attack on television.

Lol this always reminds me of when Matilda got "dognapped" by the Islanders and Heenan, and the WWF had an address for fans to write letters to a friggen dog

Lol even the concept: the dog isn't sick, or dying, it's been stolen. So why the hell would you send a get well card to a dog that its owners can't find. I heard they got a shitload of friggen letters.

The Real Americans should kidnap El Torito and Torito can Tweet descriptions of the room he is kept in.

Zeb Colter demands that Los Matadores reveal their identities to the world or else they will kill the bull. Los Matadores eventually concede and reveal that they are, in fact, Epico & Primo. Zeb Colter says that there is no way The Colons could ever give The Real Americans trouble, so they must be impostors. Colter has the bull turned into protein shakes for Swagger and Cesaro, which enrages Epico & Primo who go to war with The Real Americans.
It turns out that El Torito has just been brainwashed by Colter, however, and he returns to help out Swagger and Cesaro. Hornswoggle comes to the aid of Epico & Primo, bonding over the fact that Primo and Hornswoggle have both been there with AJ Lee. Rosa Mendes is driven to the side of The Real Americans, because she had no clue that Epico & Primo were back in the WWE and they never told her. She plays the super-pro-American heel valet she did in DSW with Mike Kruel when she was Roucka.

Before AJ Styles walked out with the TNA World Title, I wanted Bully Ray to beat him at Bound For Glory and move onto a program with Kurt Angle. During it, Ray would piledrive Angle and get him sent out of the arena on a stretcher. Ray would then gloat about ending the career of a man he's shared a locker-room for years and no one would ever think would have retired.
Angle then comes back and wins the title, only to drop it off to a heel Magnus, representing his homeland so proudly, who then drops the title to a babyface Joe, who then drops it to Austin Aries who holds it forever.

Paul Heyman faked one too and did it shortly after King actually had a legit heart attack.

I refuse to come in for a three-minute squash. I don't care how paint-by-numbers it makes the other guy look.

It woudn't be any more out of taste than it was almost 2 decades ago when WWE did the substance abuse angle with Road Warrior Hawk. And if Kurt is down with doing it, wouldn't that be a substantial green light on the sitch? You'd think if it were a touchy subject, he could just not sign off on it.
