DISCUSSION - Could Brock Lesnar be a Successful Face? (if he returned and say......pummeled Orton?)
So I had a pretty cool vision last night.......atleast in my opinion.
Over the next few weeks, Orton continues his momentum. He defeats Big Show, Mark Henry, and CM Punk all cleanly in one on one matches.
One RAW - shortly before the rumble, Orton claims that he is the greatest of all-time, blah blah blah. Him and the authority are in the ring.
All of a sudden, Paul Heyman comes out (no music).
Authority and Orton are like, wtf?
Lesnar's music then hits. Enormous pop. Lesnar runs down to the ring.
Lesnar knocks Triple H out, punches Stephanie in the face, F5's Orton, and then uses Orton's 'punt to the head' move on Orton.
Lo and behold - badass babyface Lesnar a la Austin style.
Thoughts?

Lesnar could definitely
I was thinking that you could really build Lesnar up as a face, and have Lesnar go up against heel Orton at Mania.
At the February PPV, Triple H puts Lesnar in a match against Ryback/Axel in a handicap match. Lesnar squashes them.
At Wrestlemania however, heel Orton defeats Lesnar cleanly.........further establishing Orton as one of the all-time greats.

He could do face things and not acknowledge the crowd when they cheer him until down the road and tell the crowd he was sorry for not being there and tell us about some random stories about falling out of love for the society and that he will try and be a better face.
I would instantly cheer him on and forget what his recent run if he came back and F5'ed Orton anyways.
My current avatar would suggest a DDP like happy Lesnar.

the guy is a bonafide star, they can do pretty much whatever with him and people will buy into it

Yeup. He was already getting cheers as a heel because people really enjoyed his brawling and "beast" persona so him turning and going against the Authority wouldn't be an issue.
Heyman already has some beef with the Authority and can easily pull a Ryback by explaining why he also has suddenly turned face.

If it's the WWE's long term plan to make Orton "their guy", then a clean win over a Face Lesnar at Mania' could possibly be the best route to take.
At Wrestlemania - you could have Daniel Bryan go over someone like CM Punk or Bray Wyatt so that you continue to build up his momentum...........leading to a final collision course where Bryan finally goes clean over Orton.
Or - if you want to simplify it, have Daniel Bryan go over a heel Lesnar at Mania'. (i.e. not going through with any Lesnar face turn).
If that happened however, I would consider having Orton go over Taker at Wrestlemania cleanly to end the streak.
That way - both Orton and Bryan stay on par...........leading to an inevitable collision course down the road between the two.

Not my Ryback :(. How about The Shield? They are worthless.

Hey. The Shield are awesome.
And yeah Lesnar could totally be a mega-face. He did pretty well as a face leading up to his WM19 match with Angle, the problem with that was that when Angle came back people decided they liked him more. I'd personally love to see Lesnar take on the Wyatts singlehanded, though mostly because I don't like them.

Lesnar would make a terrible face. The guy is built to be a heel, and his mouthpiece Paul makes his heel persona even better.

This could happen and it could make a lot of money. Lesnar would just return and win the 2014 Royal Rumble. Randy Orton would be all "What the fucking fuck?" and Paul Heyman would just be Paul Heyman, playing at odds to The Authority. It would create an interesting dynamic between Lesnar and Punk, who would both be faces likely fighting their separate battles against Triple H and co. That could make Lesnar vs. Punk II certainly something to buy into.
I'd personally go with Brock Lesnar winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title, as I feel that it would get a fair bit of attention and that if The Rock can get a token WWE Title run, then surely Brock could be given one as well. All it would take is Brock agreeing to work a few more dates and maybe cramming them in before SummerSlam.

I'd love to see Orton-Lesnar. Lesnar needs to be used to help establish some fresher talent now that he's faced pretty much everyone main event worthy other than Orton. A match against Lesnar would really help Orton and establish him more in the main event scene. Of course a match against Lesnar could also really help Sheamus, Del Rio, or even Big E Langston. I think the ship has sailed for Ryback to be big enough to face Lesnar.

I could see that Handicap Match pitting the former Heyman Guys against Lesnar at Elimination Chamber or something though. Or maybe Brock works his first match on RAW in so many years and beats them there. The more I think about face Lesnar, the more I want to see it. He'd make even more money for the WWE that way.
I was thinking yesterday about how the WWE would ever bring Jeff Hardy back should he be willing to return. Maybe the WWE would just like us to forget that CM Punk exiled him, but I'd go with the obvious Punk vs. Hardy feud that is waiting for you when Jeff returns to the WWE. Jeff Hardy would surely hate CM Punk, just like Paul Heyman does. They'd make interesting on-air allies. Heyman can do the speaking for Hardy -- perhaps labeling him "The Extreme Enigma" -- and Punk would have other super-popular Heyman Guys to keep one eye on.
