Question is simple. Who is winning this year?

Actually, 2 questions. Who will win and Who SHOULD win?

Also, what "Surprise" entrants would you like to see this year?

While you're thinking that over... Enjoy this humorous video.

Um, I know you're not new here...

CENAWINSLOL!

As far as surprise entrants, I'll mark for Jericho and Ricky Steamboat.

Winner is going to be either CM Punk or Sheamus.

Sheamus will be a surprise entrant, as will perhaps RVD and Jericho. If they do an NXT guy again, it will be either Bo or Sammy Zayn. Other big surprise will be Bull Buchanan. :shifty:

I can't see the main event of WrestleMania not featuring John Cena. Randy Orton is currently the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Therefore, Cena wins the 2014 Royal Rumble and becomes Randy Orton's worst nightmare. Daniel Bryan looks like he should win the Royal Rumble (like he was made to look like he should have won Money in the Bank), but Shawn Michaels kicks Bryan in the face and tosses him out, setting up a WrestleMania encounter between the two. Triple H and CM Punk also get into each other's business a lot more in time for WrestleMania. Paul Heyman antagonizes The Undertaker claiming that his true client, Brock Lesnar, is going to do what CM Punk couldn't at WrestleMania last year.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena

Street Fight
Triple H vs. CM Punk

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels

There's half of your WrestleMania XXX booked.

I would not be terribly upset if Roman Reigns "shocked the world" and won the rumble. Have Cena win the title from Orton and have Reigns quietly break away from The Shield and take on Paul Heyman to manage him to the top. Reigns destroys guys on a weekly basis while Heyman builds him up as the next big thing. Obviously, it would take a great build to make the match seem WrestleMania main event worthy but for some reason, with Heyman on Reigns side and seeing how they've started to make Reigns look like a beast already, I could see it working as an old school "How can the hero topple the unstoppable monster" story. And the Heyman-Cena promos would be awesome. I would put Cena over though. Reigns would get a great rub just by being in the spot and we could see if they can keep him a legit main eventer for an extended period of time before tossing the title on another young guy just to forget about him when his reign ends.

More realistically though, for some reason I can see Daniel Bryan winning it.

Who should: Triple H

I'm not sure if I'd give the Rumble to Reigns just yet. I like Reigns and I think he's got a ton of potential, but I'm just not sure how he would go as a singles star just yet.

Reigns I don't feel should win it but wouldn't be surprised if he's in the Final 4 after eliminating about 8 or 9 superstars. Maybe even have Ambrose be the one to eliminate him to further the Shield break up.

Bryan SHOULD win it I think. The reaction he's still getting even after being buried should show he would be ready for a Wrestlemania Main Event this year although I'm sure as stated above he will be screwed out of it by HBK or even an Authority added Kane to the Rumble.

Punk I think will win but HHH will somehow cost him the Title Shot maybe around Elimination Chamber? Setting up that Mania match.

I want Bryan to win The Rumble. That being said, i see CM Punk winning.

Who Will: Punk (or Cena)
Who Should: Bryan

Should be Bryan but wouldn't be surprised if he didn't assuming the dirtsheet stuff about the WWE still not being committed to him and the strong possibility of HBK-Bryan occurring at Mania.

They should have a divas Royal Rumble as one of the preliminary matches.

Who Should: Daniel Bryan (Or Punk if DB/Cena/Orton have a Triple Threat at the Royal Rumble)
Who Will: Probably same if they don't do the triple threat.

I'd like a surprise winner one year even if it's Brodus Clay the main event playah.

Like I said, I wouldn't give him the title. He's been built up well enough though that letting Heyman take over his career and christening him the next Lesnar could lead to an intriguing match with Cena where he poses a legit threat at WrestleMania without having to use one of the part-timers WWE has had to rely on.

They could even bring his relation to The Rock up as part of the build.

Bryan wins the Rumble, because now that we've had five months since their feud died a pitiful death, we'll finally get a payoff for the Bryan/Orton feud.

Daniel Bryan and Goldust will be the co-winners of the Rumble match. Both will face Randy Orton in a triple threat match where the first fall will be for the World Heavyweight title (Goldust) and the second will be for the WWE Championship (D Bryan).

I can't see Cena winning two years in a row, sorry Noid. I can't see Sheamus winning it again either. Money would be on Punk or Bryan, but could be a complete surprise winner.

Who should win: Daniel Bryan

Surprise entrants: for some reason, I have a nagging feeling Hogan would enter in a bid to main event WM30. Imagine in the build up The Authority announcing they sold the spot of number 30 as it was best for business, and then imagine the pop if he entered at number 30???

Tazz Dan
12-19-2013, 08:07 AM
Imagine if both Hogan and Stone Cold made returns. Who'd get the bigger pop? Hogan who the internet fans know is pretty much a lock for Mania, or Austin as a total surprise?

Could also plant the seeds for the match that's been talked about for years.

Never going to happen, but I wonder who would get the bigger pop. I'd go with Stone Cold.

I was sold on Bryan winning in August but now I'm not so sure. I think it could be CM Punk now as Bryan has cooled off a little bit. It's also possible Bryan could be in the WWE Title match and not in the Royal Rumble Match. Also, they may want to do something with a returning Sheamus or possibly push an up and comer like Roman Reigns. And you always have to include the possibility of a big star or legend having a surprise return and winning the thing since they're that big of stars.

So my possible winners are:
Daniel Bryan
CM Punk
Sheamus
Roman Reigns
The Rock
Undertaker
Brock Lesnar
Triple H

Cena, unless he's getting a shot at 'Taker or a similar calibre match I can't envisage him not being in the title match.

Actually agree with Heyman, could see Goldberg as a surprise entrant this year, or Batista.

I think I predicted Ryback to win last year and he was the one being pushed and all. I don't want to jinx someone out, so I'm going with Cena to win the Rumble.

Who should win it? Damien Sandow

Surprise entrant, John Morrison when Kofi is present so they can do leaping stuff and eliminate each other.

Bryan or Brock, can never count out Cena. Bryan is surely the favourite but it depends what "the plan" is for him. I like the aforementioned HBK reference.

Michaels needs to make up his damn mind about going against Bryan at Wrestlemania because it's the only thing better than Bryan in the title match.

Because it is a landmark Mania, think it would be really cool if they "offered" the RR positions to any current and former stars who helped make Mania what it is. Then have some Mania highlights videos airing without giving too much away.

If they worked hard at it, they could conceivably have at least Hogan, Rock, Goldberg, HBK, Triple H, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, RVD, Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash make shock Rumble appearances,as they go "all out" for one last shot at the big time at the biggest Mania of them all.

Obv most of those crowd have limited appearances, so it would be the perfect place to plant the seeds for all their seperate Mania feuds, while at the same time making it a Rumble to remember for all the fans of the past 30 years...

Think of all the face-offs and moments you would get with that crowd...

This makes me think they could do a Royal Rumble with only former World/WWE champions. I'm pretty sure they could fill out the 30 spots and I actually think it would be pretty fucking sweet. Especially if they wanna go with Taker vs Cena for the title. Have Taker be a surprise #30.

As a one off it would be incredible, just for all the mid-match moments. Keeping the title unified is the perfect excuse to do it too...

If you threw in a tag team turmoil match and a MiTB match, would limit the people who would miss out too...

Alberto Del Rio
The Big Show
Booker T
Brock Lesnar
Christian
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan
Dolph Ziggler
The Great Khali
Jack Swagger
John Cena
Kane
Mark Henry
The Miz
Randy Orton
Rey Mysterio
Sheamus
Triple H
The Undertaker
JBL

Alright, those are the former WWE/World champions I could find in the company. There's 20 of them. So they'd have to pack in 10 "surprises" assuming all of them were in it. A little tougher than I thought it would be but it's plausible. I don't think that would leave any more guys who have no chance than there usually are.

Yessssss.

Also, Sid.

It would be the most markout-worthy rumble ever despite the fact that you know exactly who's eligible going in. Imagine a WWE/World champion only Royal Rumble, the countdown hits 0, the buzzer goes off and "No Chance in Hell" starts playing. COME ON!

On a serious note, my personal favorites to win the upcoming Rumble match are Roman Reigns, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk.

Mr. Nerfect

I think Roman Reigns will have the most eliminations in the 2014 Royal Rumble, and I see him making it right to the end of the Rumble, but I can't see him winning the thing. It's just too much of a gamble at the moment. I think Reigns goes through every man and his dog to make it to the Final Four, only for Sheamus to eliminate him and prompt the crowd to boo due to Reigns' impressive efforts. Reigns then grabs the arm of Sheamus and the winner then comes up and dumps Sheamus out to take the Rumble.

This would lead to, obviously, Reigns vs. Sheamus. Perhaps this will be an Elimination Chamber qualifier, which Sheamus wins after Dean Ambrose "accidentally" costs Reigns the match, or Reigns could even get the victory when someone Sheamus is developing issues with gets involved (I could see Sheamus' attitude getting under Kane's skin leading to a WrestleMania match between the two of them).

I don't know, just spit-balling ideas there. I could see an epic Royal Rumble performance leading to Kane getting a bit jealous and a Kane vs. Reigns feud built for WrestleMania too. I'm not entirely sure I want to see The Shield break-up just yet.
