I don't know how serious I am being with this (seriously), but part of me would surely enjoy a storyline where Batista used his big name star presence to steal Tyler Breeze's theme music and shtick. It wouldn't be entirely out of character -- think about it:
The last time we saw Batista, he lost to John Cena and got so frustrated that he left the professional wrestling industry. He didn't have the drive or the passion to keep going whereas guys like John Cena get knocked down and get back up. I could see a heel Batista coming back and having this kayfabe "I'm just in it for the money and I'm not going to pour myself into everything I do" air about him. Batista could have this arrogant vibe about himself and just mock the fans and the industry in general. He just acts like he would off-screen (not knowing the guy, but he'd drop "The Animal" persona and just be a guy that likes to have sex with Divas) and mucks around on-stage.
A bit of a movement can start where Superstars start Tweeting about Batista #stealingbreeze. Tyler himself can remain fairly quiet and just make Tweets like "Trying to be professional #goodemployee" and the like. The WWE basically -- without trying to shove it down our throats -- tries to create a bit of a viral marketing campaign around Breeze to get people wanting to see him do his thing on RAW and SmackDown. Maybe The Authority even changes his music (off-stage as to not make it too much of an obvious story device) and despite Breeze still acting the part, the commentators stop talking about it as much: "Tyler Breeze was trained by Lance Storm and as such is a great high-flyer and submission expert in the vein of a young Chris Jericho." Alex Riley can make little comments like "He's still looking at that phone? I thought officials would have confiscated that by now."
Basically you do a real subtle thing where Tyler Breeze keeps trying to be Tyler Breeze, but the official company line is that the gimmick is over. This all leads to petitions being put out by stars (Xavier Woods had that short-lived "Bring Back Big Show" petition, so he could be a likely candidate) and out-spoken guys like Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder and even CM Punk sending Tyler Tweets saying stuff like "Don't you hate it when something you make work gets taken from you?" Eventually a guy like CM Punk actually makes a comment towards Batista on the air, and he just brushes it off. Things kick up a notch when after a match, Batista is attacked by Tyler Breeze (perhaps even using a weapon). Breeze then Touts about it from the ring using his phone and the security escorts him out. #GoodEmployee then becomes the #BadEmployee and #mrstealmygimmick.
This all leads to a match where Breeze shows heart against Batista, but is of course eventually defeated. The beating continues after the match and there's no security to help Breeze. He's taken out on a stretcher and many of the roster send Breeze sympathetic Tweets about the heart and effort he showed. This all leads to Breeze coming back in a segment where he confronts Triple H or even Vince McMahon and says he tried to play ball, then he tried to make a name for himself, and regardless of whether or not they see money in him, they know he is too good to not give him an opportunity. He basically comes off as really respectful, but confident, and they almost appreciate that and he gets a solid run as "The Bad Employee" Tyler Breeze. The WWE could market that t-shirt and it could probably sell a few. But they can also keep the "I'm gorgeous" thing to keep him interesting and sell some phone cases or something.
Yes, I did just fantasy book Batista vs. Tyler Breeze. Fuck yourselves.

The thing about Breeze is this: The gimmick is far more effective than his plucky underdog Mike Dalton shtick. But somehow it's just connected so well down in NXT in an ironic sense (partially because the crowd is filled with former Impact Zone smarks and the like -- and I do mean that affectionately). Breeze is good at being a chickenshit yet conniving heel (he gets better all the time, eg. the way he sold the slap from Adrian Neville on the latest episode of NXT where he just sat against the barricade he was knocked against stewing thoughtfully), but there almost seems to be something in the gimmick that makes it too likable to be a major player heel gimmick. He could get cheers against a few of the more traditional faces he comes against. So why not find a way to turn the arrogant pretty-boy into a babyface?

But yes, this would require that Batista use Tyler Breeze's theme music. At least sporadically. In fact, that might be a better way to do it. John Cena calls Batista "vain" or implies he's only in this business for the superficial reasons, and Batista retorts with using the music. He then goes back to "I Walk Alone" but when the Tweets pop up, he aggressively responds with "I'm Batista. I can do what I want. #whoistaylorbreiz?" He then uses the music more often, prompting the commentators to have a chuckle at the reaction it gets. Breeze can then retort to Batista "I'm Tyler Breeze."

I hope this is true and we do get at least a little run. I did enjoy Batista, whether heel or face. There was something believable about him. He is a good big man.
I wouldn't want to see him wasted against ryback at wrestlemania.
How would people feel about him taking on the streak? Batista comes in pre wrestlemania and says he is here to do what everyone else has failed to do. Plus with his mma background now there is an extra thread to any story with taker.
I love Dave Batista. He was awesome when he was motivated. I am glad that he is coming back :D

The gimmick reminds me of early singles run Shawn Michaels. He just looks at himself in the phone instead of in the mirror. I'd rather debut him as Vickie Guerrero's new boyfriend, including having her taking pictures of him in control of the match, adding them to twitter in real time.

I'm thinking that the Royal Rumble could see the returns of Batista and Brock Lesnar. That clash would be pretty epic and would tease a WrestleMania XXX match between the two quite strongly. Batista and Lesnar can muscle each other towards the ropes and then someone like Roman Reigns can come up and dump them both out, in one of the most epic Royal Rumble elimination spots ever.

That would be pretty damn sweet. Lesnar vs Batista at Wrestlemania makes a lot of sense too.

I hope we get D-bag Dave instead of some kind of sap story. Having a really dynamic heel like that would be great. I can see him getting a huge reaction pop at first, but it would be a waste not to use him as a heel. Especially after what he did towards the end of his last run.
Edit and go to advance settings.

From Batista's Twitter account:
"I can't wait to get to the Cheesefest in Hoakietown and punch somebody right In the f'n face! Playtime's over children."
Sounds like Dave's coming back for a bit more than Dancin'.
On the seventh day God rested...because he knew it would take a lot of energy to create Batista.

I'd love it if they did a logical continuation to his character before he left.
Have him return and get his big face pop... but then take the microphone and is all like "So now you cheer me, huh? You people, and John Cena, drove me to quit WWE with your disrespect. All I heard was mocking and taunting..... but look at me now, I'm a big Hollywood movie star!"
And then basically have him be Hollywood Douche Batista.

The dude is a natural heel in the era where guys like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust are the biggest fan favorites in the company. I think that people want to see "normal" looking guys beat the big guys.
